  1. made me chuckle too! Vartan seriously must negotiate skate time in every project! I thought it was interesting that he had this near death experience and not one person cared to find out - did no one notice he didn't have his car? Who did he call to get picked up? Would kinda love to have his character just implode and be his own downfall! Doesn't look like this show is getting much interest if this is all that have posted!
  2. I'm frustrated with Jeana - I was really rooting for her and was thinking that she was more guilty by association from hanging out with Rio. As she seemed to be more chill early on. And I can see how easy it would be to have become close with someone early on and feel like they have their back and want to stick with them. But seeing that twitter feed from the ep... ugh. If she had phrased it differently in a more "editing - what can you do - shrug" type way then I would still be ok with her. But the whole calling out and getting so rage-y with it shows more about her personality. She signed up for this and editing can only take what you give them. too bad. I do wonder if she did get hit by something but it wasn't the actual tent - there was a lot of wind and it kicked up a lot of stuff. I think editing would have shown it if she had been hit... I'm over Rio. I'm sad Brendi left in some ways - but feel like she already lasted longer than she should have. I hope she does get help. It's hard to see someone thinking that living in her car was easier. Shanice has grown on me in so many ways - I eyerolled originally with the Sha-nasty but that she knows when and how much to bring it on is great! I love Krys and also on the fence if I want her to win - she may have better luck beyond ANTM if she doesn't!!!
  3. I just wish they had made the bachelorette be one of the women from the previous seasons. It would have made so much more sense and then would have immediately built connection so much easier with the season start. Anna would have been my first choice.
  4. My brother met her quite a while back when he was an extra in a film with her. He said she was super sweet and hung out with the extras and such. So I tend to think she is trying to play the role of host more than that she is snobby. Granted it was a while ago so things may have changed but I still give her the benefit of the doubt.
  5. darn - that doesn't bode well for the Roswell reboot - which I was a bit curious but hesitant about since I loved the first one.
  6. Funny you said that... considering that the guy from Great American Bake Off (if that is what you were thinking of) is who was cut out of the Stanley Hotel/Shining quickfire!
  7. Or it was all part of his master plan to go home and see his baby! mwah ha ha ha! except he forgot about LCK - oops!
  8. The alpha male stuff is ridiculous. While there have been some times that I was sad certain ones were targeted but it is all about the game play and to cite giving providers a better chance and only list men just reiterates Probst's ridiculous boys club. The part that really gets me from that article though is this: Actually that is one of the parts of the show which has frustrated me more and more as the years go by. I don't want a cast that all fits a certain type - the diversity is what makes it so interesting. I don't want this to become a model/dating show. ugh.
  9. The whole Rio thing so disappointed me. I really like her. And I do understand that optimistic feeling when things align to have that challenge that day but then thinking that she deserved the win was ridiculous. I do wonder how much of the pressure and cracking that happens on this show is producer influenced. Not necessarily telling them to go crazy but needling them with questions and helping direct them and support the crazy thoughts. I have been re-watching UnREAL (new season starts soon!) and while that is definitely an extreme version, I do think there is a lot of that questioning and influencing that make the producers so good at getting the crazy to come out. Also living with that many women - ugh! I had a hard enough time when I shared a house with 2-3 women in college - I can't imagine that many and adding in the competition. Ugh. I also think that reality tv has come so far that it is more about asking the crazy to compete than picking the best ones. Focusing on talent is so rare (Top Chef being one of the few that I love for that!) and they definitely have taken the screening to be more about how crazy of a storyline they can make out of someone. Rio, Brenda, Liz, etc. - it seems to be so much fodder. While yes it can be entertaining, I loved the show more when there is actual teaching how to be a model and understanding the intricacies of a shoot or runway show.
  10. I also wonder if his dream team got edited a bit or was producer driven which may mean we are stuck with Nico again next season. :(
  11. He may not - it may just be that it is divided out to the unseen crew and not him - which I could see happening. But he knows that the tip is reflective of how well things are going and he expects more. Granted after this last charter and how much guest interaction he had to put up with he deserves a bit of it!!! I'm surprised none of the staff helped call him out of the situation but am sure the producers let it go on.
  12. I assume the tip goes to the cap/and real boat staff too (those two guys we saw the first ep) perhaps? didn't he say it was more like $1500 each not $1800+
  13. If I ignore all the stupid plot mechanics and contrivances - Alicia was pretty amazing in this ep - I thought her breakdown and maturity was well done. And I love that she said F-off to mommy dearest at the end. I also enjoyed the half of Talking Dead with her and Aisha Tyler (not confusing at all!) that I caught. I would have been pissed if they killed her off as she is one of the few reasons I am watching anymore. Her and Strand. Mainly because I think they are having the most interesting arc in how they each are growing/changing after the ZA. And I generally enjoyed the ep probably the most of any of this series. but there were definitely plenty of eye-rolling moments that I can come up with justification for the stupid but why should I? a survivalist only has one way in and out of the pantry/bunker (not including the ventilation shaft)?!?! Alicia being the only one to survive - ok so she passed out with a zombie dead above her which probably helped her "hide" until the air came back when she woke up. Zombies being so strong to knock out a helicopter window? Aren't those pretty strong to handle flight pressure?! A zombie horde this bad in the middle of nowhere? It took two seasons on WD for a horde and it was small compared to this one - or compare to the Alexandria horde which was way later in the ZA. madison saving the day somehow. yeah right. I quit watching this show once and then randomly caught the end of a marathon and started watching again since not much else was on... need some strong Strand eps to keep me going or I may just quit again.
  14. It seems to be baldy has the more creative/design side while ponytail has the sewing skill - sorry I keep blanking which is which - baldy (Shawn?) always asks for technical help from ponytail (Claire?) while ponytail is always asking for more aesthetic help. I really don't think that they can do it on their own completely.
  15. I definitely don't want my proposed scenario!!! But it was so ridiculous for absolutely no reason! Why didn't they decide to get married in NY before she gets sent away - all the same storyline would have worked and it wouldn't have felt so ridiculously gimmicky. and would have been slightly more logical/feasible. As much as this crazy show ignores reality (book published in three weeks?!?!) it would at least be on that level instead of just stupid and bland. YES!!! this! and I'm beginning to lose any interest in Liza and Charles with his weird passive pursuit of her.
  16. So if they were going to go with this ridiculous storyline with a half hour show and do it all in one episode - then they should have just gone all out!!! Charles should have flown to Ireland - found out about Josh's wedding but not realize it was to Claire, gone to stop/object, Liza is in the pews instead and pulls him aside after he embarrasses himself and actually shows passion/emotion!, Josh gets thrown seeing Charles there, Josh yells at Charles which stops the wedding and we are left with everything up in the air! Will the wedding continue? Will Josh punch Charles again? Will Liza finally choose? Will Charles and Liza finally get it on?!?!? but no - we are left with a bland, completely implausible finale that should have been multiple eps or the hour long that the guide bait and switched us on. ugh. For as much happened in the ep (international travel is no joke!) - absolutely nothing happened.
  17. The fact that the all-stars are all front and center after every intro dance has bugged me from the start - and then this time to have them completely overshadow the competitors with all 10 all-stars on stage was ridiculous. Of all the things that bugged me this season - this is the one that was the most frustrating. I really enjoyed the routine but do agree that if they had a bit more time with it it could be flawless - you know it will be part of the tour.
  18. I immediately thought the same when they showed the christopher scott after the opening number - NO NOT DORIANA!!!! While I may get frustrated when the choreo gets dumbed down to work with a less skilled dancer - I hate it more when the choreo completely ignores the dancers strengths and she never seems to adjust. She has one idea/style of disco and that's it. NO!!! Please don't make Kiki an all-star!!! :( He should never have made it past the academy. Him being in the finale is way too producer driven. I understand not wanting to have a finale with all contemporary dancers - but they really messed it up in the beginning by the casting - they let a lot of amazing non-contemporary dancers not make it. I was excited seeing him again but that routine was a mess - didn't think the choreo was strong and then just felt no connection with the dancers. Surprised the intro video talking about them all about to cry as I didn't get any feels from it. Yup. Or at least a "wanted to have sex with Lex" creeper vibe. I don't want to be a hypocrite when other mentors mention I love you and it didn't bother me, but there seemed a weird edge when he said it.
  19. I was so disappointed with the bottom three but glad of all of them that Koine was saved. I really wanted Taylor and Kiki to be in the bottom and leave. Unfortunately I think having Kiki in the bottom last week rallied his fans to make sure he made it through this time. I just don't see him improving that much - I feel like every choreographer is adjusting to him and adding props to distract. I think Logan was way more justified to stay around than Kiki. But am glad that Lex made it through. You knew they would make sure to have an even number of guys and girls in the finale. While I think Logan is uber talented I finally realized what slightly bothers me with him - he is so bendy that he always goes to extremes. He doesn't seem to have quite the control to hold that back and work with others in his group. It throws the timing slightly off. It's like the dancer in Center Stage who keeps trying to do a triple instead of the choreographed double. I really miss the top 20 and between the top 10, barely any dancing shown at the academy, the immense focus on the all-stars, and now a double elimination, the season feels ridiculously short. I feel like I don't have a huge vested interest in the dancers as much as I have in the past. I just finally remember Taylor's name! I wish they had the audition eps be 2 hours so that they would have only lasted two weeks. Then the academy should have focused on the dancers and not the all-stars. And they should never have the schedule work out that they have to do a double elimination if it starts with a top 10. Back to the ep specifically - I was crazy impressed with some of the routines last night. When the two new young choreographers popped up with Marko and Koine I was a bit nervous - but I loved the closet routine! Kaylee nailed her routine with Cyrus. So happy to see Chbeebe back!!! Enjoyed the opening number with the blocks (knew instantly it was a Christopher Scott routine).
  20. I just hate the whole - let's throw a bunch of green crew on the boat the day before guests arrive. You can't even have one full day with them showing them the basics before it is a time crunch with guests arriving. I know - where would the drama be in that?!?! but to me all the producer shenanigans just make me cringe.
  21. I'm beginning to wonder if it is more of a nervous, subconscious type thing than an actual wedgie that needs to be picked. Her habit and part of a ritual/way to focus in before each major part. Like a basketball player and there specific bounce pattern before a free throw. just a random thought...
  22. I enjoyed this and am excited to see who else they bring back! And then will there be a finale with the ep winners competing against each other for a bigger prize? Feel like they could do a tournament semis and finals etc. Three makeups in one day is rough! I'm not surprised the last looks were the weaker ones. I liked the judges watching it all come together with a little commentary. Even they noted how fried you would be by the last round. Jasmine had my two favorite looks. Especially her catacombs one. There was something about the paint job that I found really interesting up close.
  23. I just wrote basically this on the first challenge episode thread!!! aka I totally agree. I think they should all have the same parameters every challenge. they can even mix up the sizes - 12 for a couple challenges, then 8 then 4 then 18 or something...
  24. so many thoughts when watching this... the twins need to go. and soon. I cracked up with the imitations but now I'm going to notice there affectations even more. indeed. I was surprised that the bottom twin was in the bottom - I was happy that she was there as the shorts were horrendous and I can't stand the twins so I won't them broken up sooner than later - but I thought that gold alien number should have been ranked below it. her top was interesting and if she had done a nice fitted shorts/skirt I think it would have been ranked near the top. that gold alien one - the seam on the back was horrendously puckered! and the styling and everything WTF? Cha-cha - I'm actually sad that he was the first cannon fodder. Please note that I didn't think he should have been selected in the first place. But he is such a sweetheart that I kinda wanted him to get one more episode - I think he could have made a really interesting unconventional challenge look. but then he would need to be auf-ed because enough is enough. Was pleased with the top looks and am looking forward to seeing what else they make. I do think Brandon won't last long and I do think his got bonus points for having the largest (I think) model but I actually did like how the top worked on her. I love having the plus-size women on there but I wish they all had to deal with the same size at the same time. The size could change each episode but know that would be much harder to handle the logistics of and there would have to be new models every episode but then all designers are facing the exact same challenge. Or maybe do two weeks of size 8 and then two weeks of size 12 then 4, then 18 or something like that. I wonder how they will handle the final runway if they each will need to have models of varying sizes.
  25. Which I am glad for - I think they need a longer break between all star seasons - to help replenish the crowd! They did a few way too close together.
