  1. In Episode 3 you see a painting of the young prince (who is now the king) and princess (the one that gives birth to the Stregobor). You can see the same young prince and princess at the party that Yennefer so rudely interrupts.
  2. Original air date: January 7, 2020
  3. There is a fine line between the time that you want your kids to move out and the time that you are so old you are glad that they are around to help with things around the house. I think Malcolm has moved into that area. As long as they are in sync and not annoying each other they should try to get along. Due to aging, illness, convenience, companionship, and security, it is good to be surrounded by reliable people.
  4. Not a lot to talk about, it is kind of strange how nice everybody in town is dressed considering how economic depressed the town is supposed to be.
  5. I think everything in that clip is from Episode 5 "Bad Alibis", so I would start there.
  6. Just didn't like this episode. Using the TARDIS to go back in time and get your companions out of a sticky situation. Graham shooting his laser shoes at a crowd of people that included the other companions. Ada using a machine gun in a crowed room, she manages to hit her target and then stops firing? Wanting to use all the people on earth as data storage when a jar full of bacteria would give you the same results. Why did the aliens want to do this and why did they say this would effect The Universe, it would barely effect the Earth, the Earth would probably be better off. How would they prevent the data from being corrupted, would all the humans be in some kind of suspended animation where their bodies never change? Why did the aliens give up their plans? Are there thousands of aliens living in the brains of humans? Are the aliens still here or did they leave? Who's brain is The Master in? Where is the Master's TARDIS? Why did they show swastikas, will they have to remove them to show this episode in Germany? Has The Doctor always been able to touch people and make them forget they met. This sounds like as useful a gimmick as psychic paper, why haven't they used it more?
  7. The show created a website similar to a school newspaper to provide information about the TV series. SuttonGrove.WTF
  8. I thought in the beginning of the Djinn episode that Jaskier said he hadn't seen Geralt for "X" years.
  9. I not sure that is all Geralt, I think that most of it is the reputation of being a Witcher. Jaskier just introduced the Geralt name as a synonym for all Witcher exploits. It is like saying "so and so" is a Ninja, you have an idea of what they can do even if they can't do any of those things.
  10. So what you guys are saying is I should change my Tinder photo to me with a Baby Yoda in a Babybjorn.
  11. Oh well, I guess Chibnall has given up the Season 1 formula, portraying controversial historical events and allowing us to learn a little history and empathize with the cultures involved. I enjoyed that format, and it seems like a few highly popular shows, like Watchmen, seem to be benefiting from that formula. I really wasn't feeling this episode, it seems like it was spinning it wheels, just showing us things until the show would get some traction. I guess the big reveal was the traction it needed. To people who are long watchers of the show the reveal would be epic. To people who started watching with Jodie Whittaker, the reveal and the episode would have been subpar, unless there is somebody there to yell at them how epic the reveal was. Other than the big reveal, not a lot happened. They stated their evil plan was the take over THE UNIVERSE! and a yawned, that was so 4 or 5 Christmas specials ago, shouldn't they be up 5 of 6 Multiverses by now. I don't want The Master because they won't defeat him by the next episode, they will be fighting him for a half or an entire season. I was hoping to see where Chibnall was taking this unique Doctor, but this seems more like caving to people saying that the show no longer seemed like Doctor Who.
  12. Let's see, things done right that are different from the books, Lincoln Rhyme is not depressed, he has the use of at least one arm and may be getting more access to limbs. Lincoln also doesn't seem to have any other adverse physical health effects from the fall. It would be nice if they could build a proper lab in his home and come up with more hi-tech gadgets for Lincoln to use. Some cutting edge, almost Sci-Fi tech wouldn't be unwelcome. VR goggles, AR glasses, drones, even a team of consultants like historians, literary experts, etc. (including the lady who trained him in Forensics) from around the world and someone that does computer simulation and modeling. It would also be nice to see that Lincoln is a better person now, than he was when he could walk. Lady Copper was the Lady Assassin from Midnight, Texas.
  13. The first episode is now available for viewing On-Demand on many cable networks and HULU.
  14. Biggest difference you find witness, ghost finds you.
  15. Supernatural elements make it not necessary to have clues that the viewer can follow to their logical conclusion. So far I am hard pressed to remember anything that Nancy solved using detective work.
  16. From socks to sock puppets, I would say that is a lateral move at best.
  17. I think the only reason people are watching the show is for Baby Yoda, the people would notice the plots are pretty lame if Baby Yoda wasn't there to distract the viewers.
  18. I am sure the gamers were their target audience throughout this whole thing. Which, imo, is small thinking. They are no longer on a gaming platform, they are are Netflix where the show has the potential to reach an audience that goes beyond that. People insist on trying to make comparisons to Games of Thrones, but that is because GOT was such a cultural zeitgeist they don't know what else to compare it to. But in reality this show has very, very little in common with GOT. One of those things is that GOT at least knew they were reaching beyond the book fans and really leaned into the fact that they were on HBO. They took advantage of that platform and reach and it paid off. I am not sure the makers of this really got that. If it really had reached beyond its target I would have expected more discussion and saturation in other media areas. I am not sure I am seeing that. There are 95 thousand Witcher 3 players and they couldn't wait to comment about this TV series. If you don't please them, the word of mouth will be bad. The people who haven't played the game but know it is based on a game will mimic the sentiments of the people who have played the game since they have also been burned by crappy game adaptations. The only way for Netflix to counter the bad gamer reviews would be through a massive advertisement campaign and that won't work because all the early show reviews would be negative. So it is best to please the gamers and let them be your advertisement. I thought they added too much plot to the show myself, having never played the games or read the books. My favorite part was the Renfri/Geralt fight and then any fight that Geralt had with a monster. I would have preferred if they defined what a Witcher was, why they are necessary, then showed us just how badass they are. The show needed more fighting and less world building. I would have preferred they gave us about half of the story line so they could have doubled the fight scenes. The constant name and country dropping only made my head spin. A good place to end the season would have been Geralt arriving at Cintra just shortly before the Nilfgaardian Army is coming to attack. A great place for a cliffhanger ending, that they spoiled in the first episode. Ciri's plot was so boring they could have saved it for the second season.
  19. I am sure it is for the target audience and the games do contain major nudity. Surprisingly there is only one female main character doing all of the heavy lifting. The rest of the nudity is from background characters. As a male, I would prefer each major female character to appear nude at least once. It wouldn't surprise me if they filmed one orgy scene and re-used it throughout the rest of the series. Funny how the orgy is the go to diversion for bored Magicians whether male or female, although the Magicians seem like they don't have any desire to participate themselves. The Magicians probably just like making people do things against their will.
  20. I think the screen showed there were around 5 rocks launched at the Earth all at hard to detect trajectories.
  21. This is essentially the manga "Lone Wolf and Cub". They could buy the rights to the stories and have enough material to last forever. They could even change the name to "Space Wolf and Cub".
  22. Why is a sewer drain in the wall instead of on the floor? Why is it made of the strongest material in the universe? The sewer didn't have any fluids in it, but since it is a desert sewer I will let that slide. Nice and roomy place, much nicer than the houses on the surface. Why is there a ferry in the sewer and where does it take people? Interesting that lava only effects people if they touch it, nobody ever feels the heat, even standing in a metal boat. Moff Gideon seems to be an extremely patient man. Lil' Oda to the rescue with his ears flappin' in the breeze.
