  5. Stay Close is an Thriller Coming to Netflix with all eight one-hour episodes being released on December 31. Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee are executive producers. Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst are the lead writers. Harlan Coben has a five-year deal with Netflix to develop 14 of his titles into film and TV dramas. Other works on Netflix by Harlan Coben include The Innocent (Spain), Gone for Good (France), The Woods (Polish), The Stranger, Safe and The Five. The US location for Stay Close, Atlantic City, New Jersey has been changed to the UK. Filming took place in Manchester and Blackpool. Harlan Coben's TV adaptations sometimes use new locations for the stories and use local talent for the productions, focusing on the countries where Harlan Coben's books are popular. Four people, dark secrets, and a past that threatens their lives... Stay Close is the gripping new thriller from Harlan Coben which questions how much you really know someone. The story follows three people living comfortable lives who each conceal dark secrets that even the closest to them would never suspect; Megan Pierce/Cassie (Cush Jumbo), a former stripper, now a working mother of three who has a secret past. Ray Levine (Richard Armitage), the once talented documentary photographer, whose career has nosedived and who now finds himself in a dead-end job earning a living as part of the Paparazzi pandering to celebrity obsessed rich kids, who is missing a portion of his memories. Michael Broome (James Nesbitt), a detective who’s unable to let go of a missing person’s cold case. Each of them is battling to conceal their own long-buried secrets, but when Megan’s old friend Lorraine Griggs (Sarah Parrish) shares some shocking news it throws their lives into disarray and their demons return to haunt them, threatening to ruin their lives and the lives of those around them, what will be their next move? As they all confront the reality of the suburban dream, they soon realize that the line between respectability and the truth is incredibly thin. Daniel Francis plays Dave Shaw, engaged to Megan. Bethany Antonia plays Kayleigh Shaw, Megan and Dave’s eldest daughter. Rachel Andrews plays Bea, Kayleigh Shaw’s best friend, greatest ally, co-conspirator and support mechanism. Eddie Izzard plays Harry Sutton, a small time heroin addicted lawyer who is very familiar with women from the local strip club Vipers, who has fallen on hard times. Jo Joyner plays Erin Cartwright, a quick witted, highly observant Police Detective and Jack Broome’s ex-partner/ex-wife. Andi Osho plays Simona, a retired ex-army sergeant who is currently pregnant with her first child. Poppy Gilbert plays Barbie, a sweet girl who's seemingly in the perfect relationship with Ken. Hyoie O’Grady plays Ken. Youssef Kerkour plays Fester, a security guard that works with Ray.
  6. TV Ratings: ‘The Wheel of Time’ Is Amazon’s Most-Watched Original Series Since ‘Hunters’ “The Wheel of Time,” clocked 1.16 billion viewing minutes during its debut week, making it the streamer’s most watched original series since 2020’s “Hunters.” That weird, I thought "The Boys" or "The Expanse" would be up there as one of Amazon's most popular shows, "Hunters" was a steaming pile of "crap".
  7. Those were dinosaurs right, the heads were kind of Serpenty, but those were definitely dinosaurs! I didn't like this season, every show is make making a huge deal about finding your family, either your natural one or creating a found family (I blame the OnePiece anime for this stupid nonsense trend). The story line did nothing and went nowhere. I started watching the show because I wanted to watch a man fight a lot of monsters, period. Something tells me the monster fighting is over and the human fighting is going to take precedent. So many characters were introduced, so many nations, so many agendas. Do I really want to keep track of all of that for a year until the show comes back with Season 3. I couldn't stand Ciri in Season 1 and barely tolerated her in Season 2, because I knew they were turning her into something "special". Yennifer was interesting in Season 1, but without any confidence or powers, turned into a wet dishrag in Season 2. Geralt was most interesting when fighting monsters and not too bad when fighting humans. I think they made a misstep introducing all these nations and their politics, I don't really care about any of the characters, my strongest reaction was to the death of Roach. And my favorite character this season was the lady that could turn into an owl, and she only really had one scene, but man I am all in to see more of her.
  8. I think Yennifer had to go through the portal because Ciri had already gone through and Yennifer could not let Ciri go by herself. It may have looked bad, but what else could Yennifer do.
  9. The family orb tree really bothered me. Why was she added down near the bottom, near the trunk of the tree? In a normal tree you are added to the top as one of the branches. Why did the tree have so many branches and hardly any pictures connected with those branches? What happens if a family has more than one child, which one gets the family orb. Let's say that all families only have one child, then each child would get two orbs, one from the mother and one from the father, but as each generation happens the number of orbs that you pass down would increase exponentially. It would have made more sense if the person's tombstone contained the orb and people would go to the grave site and add their ancestry there and when a person is born, they have a family orb made just for them. Then the prisoner could have been upset because the man was buried without displaying his ancestry which might have caused him some dishonor. Although returning the family orb wouldn't have been such a big deal because his tombstone already 'sploded so they couldn't attach the orb to it. Why make a super fancy secure prison with lots of defenses and guards for 6 people, why not just kill the prisoners and tell people they are still in there, they could save a lot of effort and money. Unless, they have a prisoner channel so that people can watch the prisoners on TV, so that they won't be tempted to end up like them.
  10. Was that a huge skinned rat hanging on the wall in Ciri's room as a decoration. Was that an actual "Human Centipede"? Again, not a lot of story covered here.
  11. Not exactly sure what happened this episode except that the Elf Witch wants to have a "pure blood" Elf baby, something that hasn't happened in a very long time. And, Geralt should really thoroughly check out the wound on his shoulder so he doesn't end up pulling an "Eskel". The production values are very high, but the story content seems very low, the story line is moving at a snail's pace. It seems like they are trying to introduce lots of unique monsters at a time when the Witchers usually don't encounter monsters. Are all the monster going to come to them since they have no intention of leaving Kaer Morhen. I was surprised that Ciri called herself a Princess, I had figured that she might have gotten a promotion to Queen by now.
  12. The story had a double Beauty and the Beast type of vibe, a handsome man made to look like Pumbaa and a Batwoman posing a as a beautiful girl. Each was the opposite of what they appeared to be, but still managed to fall in love with each other. I am not sure why the curse would make you immortal or give you magical powers (those traits seems more like a blessing, than a curse). Excellent production values for a sightly interesting story to force Ciri to mention to Geralt that she has some sort of powers that might make her a monster and her fear that Geralt might want to kill her. Fringilla has captured Yennifer, but all of Fringilla's soldiers have been killed so now the playing field is equal. Something tells me that Fringilla and Yennifer will have to work together to survive their situation and Fringilla is going to get redeemed and brought back onto the same side as Yennifer and the rest of her witches.
  13. S01.E07: The Candidate When Harper's billionaire tech bro boss runs for Mayor of San Francisco, Phineas is determined to challenge the man's pro-data-mining policy agenda.
  14. It seems like the TV series seem to have forgotten that this was a spoof of MacGyver and MacGruber doesn't use guns, to now MacGruber loves guns and is the best shot in the world and can even make diving dick shots.
  15. Nynaeve dislikes all Aes Sedai because (episode 1) she tells a story about how her mentor was mistreated when trying to apply to be an Aes Sedai.
