  1. Petra was almost an instaget, because I once had the chance to go and didn't, in favor of a couple beach days. I know I always regret the thing not done, but that's one I really regret.
  2. I thought he did a good job of letting her show herself for who she is while remaining absolutely professional. And his willingness to have conversations with those he disagrees with and attempt adult exchanges of ideas certainly not only enhances his credibility but makes it impossible to say he's refusing to be balanced. He didn't push the book as much as usual and he seemed more to be trying to get her to commit to a view, which I was surprised how hard she seemed to find it to just pick a lane.
  3. Just in response to the bolded line. This case has nothing whatsoever to do with the criminal justice system. This whole case is civil, meaning that as circus like as the atmosphere was, it's an entirely different system than the criminal one.
  4. Thank you! Trying to stay spoiler free obviously confused me!
  5. I wonder if they tape several episodes a day and the chasers aren't doing wardrobe changes for every game, but Sarah obviously is. It makes sense to do several at once. I haven't paid enough attention to the guys' clothes to see if they're wearing the same thing. It's just so obvious with women's clothing versus men's suits.
  6. Thank you! I'm glad to have this cleared up. I really want to see Dr. Strange 2 but I'm trying to be patient. You've really helped if I have other things to be distracted by in the meanwhile.
  7. I'm not able to see Dr. Strange 2 until it's on streaming, but I know Ms. Marvel is introduced there. Without any spoilers or reasons, should I hold off watching that show until I see Dr. Strange 2?
  8. This one really irritated me because, as you mentioned, a privateer by definition has a letter of marque. Sometimes they do through in a quick explanation, but I almost feel like this one would make them look really bad. I can't say for certain since I just saw it on TV, but I think Mayim made the call and was wrong. It definitely shouldn't have been an alternative answer on her card and it didn't look like she waited for the judges before accepting it. It did seem like she stumbled just a little when she said "or a pirate." She's admitted she doesn't know trivia or most of the clues on the show, so I can see her jumping in on one like this and being wrong.
  9. I'm not able to see Dr. Strange 2 until it's on streaming, but I know she's introduced there. Without any spoilers or reasons, should I hold off watching this until I see Dr. Strange 2?
  10. Every place I've ever lived that had automatically locking doors also has an easy way to disable that feature, so you don't lock yourself out. Everyone I know well enough to know their lock status flips that so they won't be locked out and paying money to get back in. This is 20+ years in NYC, NJ, NYS.
  11. Instaget FJ! I even remember reading that quote, but there were a lot of tributes to Sidney Pointier when he died. John Lewis was another monumental figure, but his death is inextricably linked to 2020 for me, part of all the crazy and devastation of that year. I'm surprised two people put him down unless they forgot the category. And as I write this, there's a commercial on with Payton Manning saying Omaha over and over. Where was this last week when I didn't know that answer?

Ted Danson didn't care much for Sam either.
  13. It may be a matter of that ONE book though, which isn't my favorite either. Sunshine is very different from her other books, and the Damar books are her early and more action filled books. She has Pegasus and a series about dragons too. Her short stories are good too. Beauty and Deerskin are ones I repeatedly go back to, but she has a number of books that are not fairy tale retellings that are quite good.
  14. It was good physical therapy, and continues at home. I'm homebound for two months and trying to adjust to being in a wheelchair at home. But at least no one will interfere with my Jeopardy! watching! I got polio on Monday and Adriatic on Thursday, so is that a half? 1/5 but I did get an *.
  15. 2/5. Its actually an improvement despite a really stressful week. I'm finally home from the hospital after 63 days! I can bring take out, since that's all we seem to be eating immediately.
  16. I have literally not only never had any such communication with a place I was going to interview at, I've never even heard of such a thing. What's the point of telling someone the questions in advance? And often I find people want to judge if someone will fit the office culture, so telling them how to dress cuts that. I have no reason to think such a weird thing would be in play here, or Judd would not only have known not to get the suit, but would have been drilling Wyatt on the questions.
  17. You are right. My post reflected my internal debate, though I did land correctly. Days later I misspoke. Kiwis are still good.
  18. Forget all the deaths if they end up not being able to prove them. He kidnapped two people, assaulted one, drugged both, and confessed to the EMS abuse. The confession to Hen is evidence too, but the setup in that house with toxicology from Hen and Chin plus their testimony should put him away a long time just for this part.
  19. I only saw one FJ but I got it right (New Zealand). Does that make a perfect week? I'll bring kiwis in honor of NZ. 1/5
  20. I would say the good ones try to be fair and impartial. But in states that elect judges, the fa t is that voters know nothing about them, and elect random people with no concept of how they behave in the courtroom. And the media often doesn't even name judges when dis using court cases, so there's no way for people outside the court system to learn or make good choices. Judges are a very mixed bag, and more so when elected.
  21. It's also easier to predict a judge than jury because the attorneys often have years of knowing the judge's opinions, biases, and quirks, versus a few minutes trying to figure out those of twelve unknown people. If you know this judge doesn't like prosecutions of the kind you're facing, go bench. I've heard lawyers say it's malpractice to have a jury before some judges, because everyone knows "if you go bench, you go home" (as in, not guilty). I've even had judges tell me the verdict and sentence before the trial even started. the myth of judicial impartiality is just that.
  22. But they are still manipulating the residents to go the way the firm wants, not necessarily what's best for the residents. Those were legitimate concerns raised, but Howard gave no specific answer. He didn't go through how much they could expect (even a ballpark) now versus later, or how long later is, or how much more the firm might be getting to wait it out. Those are things the residents should know do THEY can make an intelligent choice, versus being schmoozed by Howard. And just like Lalo.
  23. 2\5. Twice as good as last week. So I'm improving enormously!!
  24. This is a younger Gus, though. Less experienced, less cool. I don't think he was born icy calm.
  25. I did sort of enjoy seeing Brandon stretch and flex like he was about to go into a physical contest going into the final chase. Brad was missed; even though it was great having Buzzy there, Brad has an energy with the lounge comments I love. His chemistry with Ken was also (obviously) missing. They've known each other so long there's a real comfort level between them. I hope Brad is back next week. My guide says James is chasing so I'm thinking the lounge will be dull without both him and Brad.
