I feel like I must have made Ashley I. angry somehow. I can't imagine what I did to deserve Sydney. But at least she made me forget that I hated Jess for awhile.

I didn't actually watch last night but I'm catching up now. I'm warming up to Kelsey A. She has ears that stick straight out, but doesn't care and pulls her hair back like a boss. Sydney is working for that Idiot Edit. I'm not sure experience with the Miss Teen Massachusetts pageant would translate to this format, though I do wish someone had asked her about Hamas or something.

I look forward to the two of them fighting over the same Night 1 d-bag from Charity's season!

It's not all that uncommon really. Zach didn't take Greer and Matt didn't take Abigail, but Clayton, Peter, Colton, and Arie all took their first impressions. They never WIN, but they often go :) (Well... Becca sorta won...)

Oh, truly. But that's how I roll I guess :) Maria reminds me of some truly awesome ladies I've known. She doesn't look like the standard contestant to me either, but I'm helpless against strong eyebrows and quirky smiles. But how boring would it be if we all agreed on these contestants? :) I'm still baffled by the Hannah Brown love....

Maria's my girl :) She seems a little intimidated by being in the middle of all those other women, and I don't think she'll win, but Joey seems to respond to her sense of humor. But I think he's already mooning over Kelsey and her voodoo doll and Daisy. Jess can go any time.

I had a coworker move from Georgia to Alberta once, to be with her boyfriend. She told me then (roughly 2006) the law was you could either marry a Canadian -- which she was not yet ready to do, and good thing because they broke up six months later -- or find an employer willing to sponsor. Which sounds similar to the laws for immigrating the U.S. I don't know who Serena's employer is, but they got married anyway so she should be GTG.

I think she's in for awhile. She got sort of a sweetheart edit and her own music during her intro. I also think Kelsey will stick around -- she not only got a similar package, but her theme music was a variation of New Orleans staple "When the Saints Come Marching In". Both of them seem nice, so I'm good with it. I could see either of them as both a winner or the next Bachelorette. Despite my personal love for Maria, I don't think she'll win or be the next Bachelorette. We can only hope she decides to leave Ontario for Vermont and buys the house around the corner from me. (Randy Quaid already bought the one across the street -- Maria would make this neighborhood awesome.) I'm not an expert at any kind of law, including weirdo Canadian copyright law, but I'm assuming Joey's got blurred because it was an actual flag, albeit a tiny one. I expect that's legally different from a red maple leaf on a speedo, or an animated one on South Park. But I'm guessing. I wish they hadn't blurred Joey's flag -- watching Canada sue Disney for a copyright violation would be entertaining.

I might be in the minority but I'm in love with Maria, even if she's too quick to pass out flags with copyright violations.

I was about fifteen girls in before I remembered Joey was a tennis instructor. Before that, some of those opening gags were baffling.

Congrats to Clare for spawning. She's always wanted to.

Good for them. Zach was a little dull, but I liked Kaity. Hope they're both happy for a long time.

Hmmm. They were talking about babies like 6 weeks ago. Smokescreen, I guess. And he has all that podcast money.

These episodes have been fun, but none of these guys are all-stars. They are all more or less the same level of mediocre. Maybe that's the key -- if a Natalie Anderson was on this season, they would be carving a statue of her by now, content that they each have a final two pact with her. Maybe not having any game studs is making this fun?

This is my favorite blurb from any of the stories listing Joey's women: "Lexi, 30, is a retail professional, according to her (now deleted) LinkedIn profile. She's worked at big brands like Krispy Kreme, and her friends seem very excited for her to take on this season, based on their comments on ABC's Facebook." It does, but SNW does have an advantage -- Season 3 was already written before the strike, and I believe they were planning to start filming right when the writer's strike began. Of course the actors are on strike too, though it sounds like things might be getting close to a deal. We'll see, I guess. Anyway, once the strike ends, SNW will be in pretty good shape to get back to work, at least compared to a lot of other scripted shows. For now... get used to reality TV. Can't wait to find out who the Golden Bachelor is gonna pick! (*sigh*)

Interesting. The guy who was ready to marry her on the beach after 10 minutes and would have given her a kidney if he thought she'd like it was screwing around. This is why you treat the over-the-top types with skepticism and maybe restraining orders.

How much more fun would this season be if Olivia had been replaced by Christina Mandrell?
