  1. Didn't she have a baby that she gave up for adoption? Maybe that was considered good enough. ITA that she was not a good candidate for surrogacy. There's a growing movement among some feminists to ban all adoption and surrogacy because the biological mother/child bond is too strong and giving up a child is traumatic for them. I don't know if anyone else watches the British soap 'Coronation Street" but they've been doing a recurring storyline about a young couple who have quadruplets, one of whom is deaf. They were planning on cochlear implants for that child, but a deaf woman kidnapped him and convinced the mother that cochlear implants are abuse and don't work.
  2. It looks like Helen George isn't the only one touring the UK in a theatrical production. According to her Instagram, Laura Main is starring in a production of "Steel Magnolias" which begins touring next week.
  3. I've been rewatching "Downton Abbey", and I just got to the episode where Mrs. Hughes meets her ex-boyfriend at the fair. I thought I recognized his voice and yep, it's the guy who plays Stu on "Coronation Street."
  4. I noticed that the woman who didn't want Susan in the Nativity play was the same one who complained about the meths drinkers. I saw a few stories that Lucille was going to have a sad storyline, but I didn't really see anything that indicated that. She seemed to be rather neglected if you ask me.
  5. I watch "Coronation Street' on Britbox, and I also watch "Casualty." I watched "Holby City" until it was cancelled earlier this year.
  6. Helen George will be playing Anna Leonowens in the UK tour of "The King and I" starting in February 2023. It shouldn't interfere with CTM since the show films in the late spring to November.
  7. He was married to Raquel Welch. I think he was her second husband.
  8. I don't remember as it's been some time since I saw it; it is on YouTube though. I remember it's about 2 families - one Catholic, one Protestant - who are close friends and how they stop being friends because of what is going on. The son of one family and the daughter of the other family fall in love. i remember there is a scene where a woman is tarred and feathered for consorting with the enemy.
  9. Anybody remember "A War of Children" about the troubles in Northern Ireland? Jenny Agutter is in it. Also "QBVII" which was a two-part miniseries starring Anthony Hopkins as a Polish doctor living in London who sues a Jewish author for claiming in a novel that he had sterilized hundreds of Jews in a concentration camp. Ben Gazzara played the author.
  10. The actress who plays Gigi is from Arkansas.
  11. I just saw that Jessica Raine is playing Katharine Parr in "Becoming Elizabeth."
  12. The Turners have a nanny but she's only been mentioned once. She's probably more of a child minder to be fair.

    What's That Book?

Are you thinking of "Phoebe?" I remember she was trying to figure out a way to tell her parents and her boyfriend and she had all these different scenarios of what would happen when she did. '
  14. I saw it on Peacock at the usual time around 7 p.m. CST.
  15. Some more news about the Christmas special:
  16. If Eric isn't a priest anymore, how is he able to marry anyone? Does he have some other job that allows him to perform weddings?
  17. Some news about the Christmas special:
