Our daughter does exactly this. Calls us, puts phone on speaker, then sets it down on the counter or something while she unloads dishwasher, or puts groceries away, or prepares dinner, etc. Extremely annoying and loud! She no longer has little kids at home...she's not THAT busy.

If I had a 'serious egg white allergy', I would probably oh, I don't know, not order an egg dish of any kind?!!? But that's just me.

What I learned: A brunette Beth has been added to the cast, John dosn't want to be the governor (wait, I already knew that), senator's have nothing to do but hang around governor's offices (definitely already knew that), Monica refuses to die, and Tacova is spending their entire ad budget on Yellowstone programming. Other than that, meh.

Also agree that this patisserie challenge falls woefully short of previous seasons' examples. Someone in production is virtually fixated on structural challenges. Please don't let this turn into a lame iteration of the American baking competition shows (Food Network? TLC?), where they construct themed, "edible" monstrosities for some random "client" using Rice Krispy treats, dowel rods, sugar paste and fondant. As much as I like Abdul, his SB award seemed very much a "this is the last chance to give it to him" consolation prize. I don't even think he bought into it, based on his reaction. I wanted to ask - has any else noticed how in several (if not all) seasons, the bakers are given a technical challenge that several appear to be clueless about, yet somehow manage to produce a bake that is very much like what is expected? Seems to happen frequently, and I feel like this nonsensical vertical tart is another example. All 4 bakers looked quizzically into the air when it was being described. They will sometimes say "I've never seen one", yet manage to produce one. Things that make you go hmm.

Nextdoor seems like it's mostly some sort of digital hellscape. I guess that's the way with 'social' media. It's as good as the moderation, which in some cases, is non-existent.

My biggest hesitation to jumping into the air fryer game is clean-up. How is it to clean?

For us, the downside of streaming remains that you are rather committed to one program at a time, which for my husband is comparable to pulling his toenails out one by one. He wants to be able to flip back and forth, check other games, avoid commercials, etc. FOMO to the max.

I would refer to the aforementioned Gordon Ramsay and say that by comparison, Paul Hollywood is a pussycat, lol.

He's not a producer, and as such, may not have much control over how his role is directed. I read he makes 4x the money on Channel 4 as he did when on BBC, and may actually not have a choice about things.

I can't speak to a gel pen, but I have pretty good success removing ink with hairspray. Spray it moderately on the stain(s) prior to the wash cycle. Worth a try.
