At first I called BS on Suzie leaving, but now I get it. She clung hard to her own aesthetic and that’s why she went, but I think she’ll go far, she’s got a lot of fans now. Also, did I miss the judge’s comments on her runway? I thought it was stunning. Jewels for the win!

I thought the first half was great, really nerve wracking. But every horror movie I’ve seen lately has fallen apart in the second half, and turns into a bloody battle between the antagonist and the female protagonist (Men, Barbarian, just to name two). Is this a studio thing, or do test audiences really want it? It’s getting annoying.

I hope she’s not getting a redemption/winner’s edit, she’s so whiny and she’s complained in nearly every episode. I’m done with her.

I really liked a lot of the sketches, I honestly loved Dad’s House. That said, Shane is a terrible comedian. He’s better suited to sketches.

I hate Kory’s drag, but she won that lip sync.

That was the worst SG ever. I can’t believe they let Lexi off for still being hilarious. I hope to get such an unwarranted break some day.

I’ve had the “one last naughty meal” feeling before a diet, but I feel like the producers really want that moment shown.

I commented on this after another episode but does anyone feel the scenes with family and friends are getting more scripted? Or, Grandma and Grandpa and the aunt aren’t up on their improv skills? It was cringeworthy to watch.

I like JAJ and I think he’s doing a great job, but SNL has always gone soft on these types of people. I was irritated that they portrayed Sarah Huckabee and Kelli Ann Conway as not wanting to be there.

I wonder what family vlogging will look like when those kids are surly teenagers or go off to college or decide they don’t want to be recorded anymore.

Surprisingly, an enjoyable show. I too had to concentrate on Dave’s face (or my iPad). I liked the monologue. Elsewhere, Marcello is a star, I still can’t stand Squirm and Longfellow’s TikTok but was brilliant.

I’ll admit, I have some agoraphobic tendencies, but if I have an appointment I go to it. I don’t know how Karen was going to have a serious surgery and move to a whole new state if she had to have a dry run on her appointment and then bail on it.

What baloney. I’ll be looking forward to Hormona’s ultimate elimination, whenever that may be.

I hadn’t particularly been looking forward to this, I thought Paul only excels in shy, quiet roles, but he pulled this out with flying colors. I loved PDD and the pirate sketch was silly and totally worked for me.

I know they are not wrapping the show up tidily but I need more. I would watch them eat French toast and have slumber parties for 10 more seasons.

I’m conflicted. So you can mess up on two challenges and then win the whole show? Did they go on Georgie’s bakes over the course of the whole series?

So we had a bunch of seasons of Entourage and only three of this show? HBO does some insane things, they think their viewers are ALL straight males? I remembered that this is a Duprats brothers show, which is why I enjoy it. I loved their previous HBO dramedy Togetherness which only got two seasons.

PDD cut for time. I enjoyed this more than the Andy Samberg bit.

Strong show. Honestly, I loved Kamala, she was so good! The cold open was tightly written and heartfelt.

S50.E04: Michael Keaton / Billie Eillish
cpcathy replied to Galileo908's topic in Saturday Night Live
The cold opens are trying to get too much news crammed into them, it was hard to focus. Okay show, but I feel the way about Billie Eilish that some people felt about Coldplay doing their eighth appearance, it’s too much, please let her take a breather so we can miss her for a bit. -
Elyanna (in the white), she is Palestinian, and Tini, who is Argentinian.

I barely watched the whole show, it was bad. I enjoyed Spirit Halloween and I’ve read people thought it was lazy. I like Hacks but Deborah is my least favorite character, I would have wanted Hannah to host, she’s awesome.

Sigh** I get it. It was fun while it lasted.

Late Night With Seth Meyers - General Discussion
cpcathy replied to Words's topic in Late Night With Seth Meyers
It’s interesting, Seth’s Late Night is the least goofy of all the Late Nights. Dave was odd and dry, Conan was absurdly hilarious, Jimmy has a place in my heart for being warm and silly and he was at his most natural.
