  1. Was that Issa Rae as the nodding woman who twerked in the cold opening? Sure looks like her.
  2. In the Ralph Macchio screen test, I still can't believe that's Phil Hartman doing the line readings to Ralph. It is just so epic and awesome to hear the man that would shape SNL's future. What a loss and such a great voice he had then. It is like the greatest thing to witness and such a shame for a guy whose life was cut short. Phil rocked even then.
  3. The Lonely video actually features Jacob Tremblay as the young Justin Bieber. It is actually a good video in the vain of Whitney Houston's Greatest Love of All since I think that was the vibe they were going for. It is pretty much Jacob just wearing his 2010 Never Say Never outfit and just walking to the stage to lip sync Justin's voice, with the camera ending at the real Justin watching in the empty crowd.
  4. I wonder that, too. It is not easy when you have a kid during a pandemic and having to work on SNL. It must be stress or lack of sleep. Or watching the news...I could imagine he is worried about going to work and such. You live in an area where there is hotspots flaring around the city and I bet it adds the stress to a T. So much worry.
  5. At least Bieber got rid of the pornstache. I think someone in his inner circle told him to get rid of. That thing was a mess. Some people work well with facial hair. He is one of the few that doesn't work well with him.
  6. Broadway actor In The Heights Doreen Montalvo dies at age 56 Too young. Too soon. She was magnificent in that play.
  7. She was one attractive lady in the 40s and 50s.
  8. You need to watch John Barrymore in Svengeli! Those blank eyes are the stuff of nightmares. It's frightening how effective these old 1930s movies were. John use to scare me in that scene. I think Rob Zombie and the enemy boss Mendez from Resident 4 are definitely influenced by him. John did it before them. Think about that!
  9. Thank God! It was a trainwreck for years! Why renew it, anyway?
  10. It has to be. Thank goodness for the synopsis of that trainwreck. Looks like I dodged a bullet.
  11. Think of it as a Goonies/Lost Boys hybrid, but in the Bronx. It was entertaining. It was no Shakespeare, but it is awesome to spot all the recognizable faces in this film. Method Man as a priest?!? Can't make this up.
  12. Ron Desantis...hi-fiving strangers and then touching his face afterwards? How disgusting...
  13. Probably the Stepford wife vibe...or her being similar to Amy Adams.
  14. Every time I see Amy Coney Barrett, she keeps reminding me of a tired-looking Amy Adams in some shots.
  15. Makeup, prosthetics, and a fat suit does wonders.
  16. Joyce Dinkins, wife of former NYC mayor Dinkins, passes away
  17. This will be a long talk to have for my grandchildren. I could imagine them saying how did I survive that mess! All I could do is manage a quote from Forrest Gump: Stupid is as stupid does. They will look at this in the history books as the shameful moment in American history. We could definitely do better than that.
  18. She got the part because she's Phil Silver's daughter....so there's that.
  19. Another one is The Pearl. I know that was done both in an old Mexican film from the late 40s and a 2001 TV movie. Lucas Haas portrayed the main character in the 2001 version. I could see Xolo(Kobra Kai) as the main character.
  20. This is a problem today when people are repeating the same mistakes that they did over and over again. Tulsa should be a reminder of that and yet we are continuing this nonsense. It is a lesson that should be learned, but it is never taken seriously at all.
  21. Are you we going to be stuck with Carrey's Biden? He is good in small doses and In Living Color is my favorite show, but I felt he was shoved in due to the relevance of his paintings, which he does almost daily, anyway.
  22. Margaret Nolan, Goldfinger model/actress, dies at age 76
