I had to skip through the the scenes of Lucy being chased in the corridors. Too stressful for me. Howard was very sweet. So only two more episodes and we haven’t heard anything about the painting or Big Bunny or the other woman since early in the season. I wonder how they’re going to land this one. I hope the clues at the end are red herrings, but I hoped the same about Jan.

When Kreps got Cinda and the trio to the building to tell them to stop making podcasts about the case, Cinda was arguing with him and said “given his reputation.” What is his reputation and why?

Brighton Beach is just up the boardwalk from Coney Island and is heavily Russian. If Ivan suddenly has a cousin or a 2nd job… ETA: I saw the comment about some speculation that might be spoilers so I didn’t scroll up and haven’t read what was posted. My speculation is based solely on knowing Brighton Beach is next door and Ivan might be Russian.

I enjoyed the season, but it’s a fluffy “hooker with a heart of gold” theme. It’s a 1-1/2 hour romantic comedy not a multi-season arc. I’m not interested in cliffhangers or relationship hurdles in S2.

What I love most? Is that the writers thought ahead and made Will bi-racial from the get go. Will is darker complected…is that because his mother is black or because his biological father is Greek?

Yep, Will mentioned Roberta had taken the kids to the zoo. It was S1 when Oliver went to Will’s home to borrow money. I like your theory about Teddy backing all the plays! Oliver would be paid also from the financing so it’d be a way for Teddy to financially support Will as well. For all his flaws, Teddy has been shown as a loving father.

I bit the bullet and decided to watch. Last season was so ridiculous and I hate watched most of it, but I was ok with this first episode. I thought Jack was just trying to do anything he could think to help because there’s literally nothing he can do. I interpreted it as fear. Glad to see Preacher’s doing well, and now he has some competition for hottest resident! Gotta give the viewers what they want, and I guess the doctor is for the people who like intellectuals as opposed to the rugged outdoor types. Too much Hope and Charmaine. They could be exclusively in the opening credits and it would be too much Hope and Charmaine.

Columbus. She was calm and soothing. A nice change! I didn’t care for the 3rd house (it felt like a flip where they wanted to open up the kitchen and their design chopped up the space), but it seemed best for her needs, and she had the money to customize it for Mom and the dog. I hope she and her family are living well.

Was I the only one who said, “Fawn Hall” at the same time as Oliver and Charles? I can’t imagine the media craze about her appearance happening today.

Nooooooo. Poor Oliver. Obviously something would come from the DNA test, but that sucks for them. I took the Son of Sam card to mean she was the killer and stole a Beautiful Blonde card when one of the other players was eliminated. I was confused by the changing outfits during the game. Why were they going back-and-forth between the 1970’s and present day? How can they live there thinking a killer is roaming the passageways, has access to their apartments, and is spying on them.

I don’t know if you can enjoy the show if you dislike Martin Short so vehemently. Maybe take a pass and avoid the aggravation? His character brings a lot of the humor. It’s a tv show. Why invite the michegas?

I agree the pool of big lottery winners has dried-up. I don’t mind the winners who received smaller amounts and looked for middle-class homes. There’s a reason they call lotteries a regressive tax: The people who play it tend to have lower wages, so for these people a $100,000 win can lift them out of payday loan poverty and give them enough money to become home owners and establish financial stability. I’d be happy if the show wanted to expand the premise to include people who came into unexpected money. I think David has the emotional intelligence to handle a range of buyers.

I can see Bunny reacting the way she did if she recognized Lucy. “What are you doing here?” So Lucy tried to frame everyone because Charles told her he was busy when he was spending the night celebrating with Oliver and Mabel. Her Mom chose the new stepdad over her, and then the man Lucy considered her most important paternal figure — the one she reached out to — chose his friends over her. She killed Bunny in a fit of rage to frame the podcasters.

I just read John Hannah is leaving. I’ve enjoyed his every performance since Four Weddings, and I’m not interested in Novak or the Bishop-replacement who is going to come in and cause drama.

Could be! I was thinking Lucy made a noise (that I didn’t hear) and the person was looking for the source but decided to am-scray.

I’m grasping at straws with the therapist. The killer seems like a big guy to me and I picture him with a handkerchief (probably to wipe his brow not sneeze.) Plus Bunny wouldn’t have been so surprised to see him. On a shallow note: I loved Mabel’s skirt with the curving blue lines. I want it to be cold again so I can wear tights and sweaters.

This is getting tense! I’d considered the Dimas’s as possible suspects but thought they’d never get out on bail. Are they both there for grave robbing or is Theo facing some sort of accidental homicide-type charge? I get frustrated when they don’t share everything they know. Lucy thinks Charles is in danger but holds back info? She knows which hallway the killer went down. That seems like it’d be useful. Loud sneezing? Why do I think it’s the therapist, but that wouldn’t explain Bunny’s reaction when she opened the door like one of the Dimas men standing there. Jan!

In E1 Richie told Carmy that he’d been in charge for two weeks and they’d been having money trouble for two weeks, which was the amount of time Carmy wasn’t getting the money from the cans. So I’m guessing the loan from Cicero was fake, and Mikey was laundering the tomato money through the restaurant. Mikey would get his cut to pay vendors, and the rest would go back to Cicero disguised as a loan payment. Which means Cicero has at least one guy in the canning factory. Maybe all the other tomato clients order the large cans, and the small cans are a custom job which lets them add the money into what would otherwise be an automated process. (I’m trying here.) I’m still not believing everyone thought it was free money. Cicero is going to come for it and then Carmy will have to take him on as a partner I’m guessing.

At the end of the first episode Carmy almost made some and started opening a can but changed his mind and threw it away. Oops.

My (current) guess is whomever she ate with the day before/person who phoned her after she stopped for a bagel and she hung up on them. I don’t think it’s any of the residents or building staff — Bunny knew her killer but the killer didn’t belong in that context. She was surprised and immediately hostile — so even it it were someone like Ivan the waiter, she’d be confused but not necessarily instantly threatened. Big Bunny has means, motive and opportunity, but is she physically capable? I don’t think it’s the art gallery owner simply bc I don’t think the writers would make the LGBTQ character the bad guy.

I laughed hard when Oliver and Charles were talking to the bird pretending to be Bunny and quoting her from S1: “It won’t take lawng unless you make it take lawng.” “If you’re the murderer, stop murdering!” So she signed an invoice for an elevator inspection, but it broke anyway? And it must break often enough that Bunny knew how to get it working again. Howard taking verbatim notes of Bunny and Nina’s fight. 😆

I tuned in mid-way/caught her name and figured she was either trying to be an influencer or had an online reseller shop (the glam room looked like a boutique with each purse in a lit cube that would’ve been good in photos), but I didn’t find anything. The only thing I remembered about him were his oft-repeated “she slid into my DMs” and it was time to “take things to the next level.” Dude, put down the remote and stop watching The Bachelor.
