  1. I watched the painful episode about the lady who believed she is married to Tyler Perry. I feel so bad for her daughters. Other than mental illness there is no answer for what this lady is doing. She needs inpatient therapy with no access to a cell phone. And she should be banned from cell phones and the internet for life.
  2. Perhaps walking after an illness is a mental thing. I had a cousin who was blind, a diabetic and on dialysis who had a condition where his legs were numb from mid-calf down. The condition was caused by his diabetes and poor circulation to his legs. He had no feeling in his feet and he walked. He was in the hospital once and the Doctor called for a wheelchair which he declined and said he would walk. The Doctor's face was priceless when he sat up, stood, grabbed his cane and said which way. So I'm not sure why she and others are unable to walk after sufficient weight loss other than mentally they think they can't. Prior to me having weight loss surgery, the dietitian gave examples of failures. She said some people would order pizza (seems to be the drug of choice) early in the morning and eat it all day until it was gone. By eating that way they could out eat the surgery. I suspect she ate the entire order over the course of the day in small quantities thereby out eating the balloon. I truly believe she ate every bite until it was gone even if it took all night. Now I'm not sure if you could hide a pizza in the armchair with chocolate but I bet she's quite creative in hiding food.
  3. I totally understand Naomi's food concerns after surgery. I had weight loss surgery and would simply look at the restaurant menu before arriving so I would know what I wanted without having to decide on the spot. There were times I ordered from the appetizer menu or split a meal with a friend. I gave them any soup or salad that came with the meal and I took a small portion of the main entree. Naomi could also order what makes the best leftover. I never wanted anyone to feel like my decision to have surgery should impact what they wanted to eat or where they wanted to go. If you put a little effort into it you can eat anyplace. I successfully lost 103 pounds and I've kept it off for the past 2 years. I also lost 10 pounds on the liquid diet but my starting weight was 233, not 600+. So I call BS on her really sticking with suggested foods for the liquid diet. Overall, I do love this family. The big difference is this family is still alive and talk about the future and on My 600 Pound Life they seem to eat while waiting to die.
  4. I loved Chitoka's going outside party. I've watched so many episodes of My 600 Pound Life where they never even attempt to make a step, her walk was pretty impressive.
  5. The loneliness displayed in this episode was heartbreaking and was painful to watch. I watched Family by the Ton following this show and there is a stark contrast between the two families. You have one family cheering when a member walked outside for the first time in four years and you have no one cheering Liz on just attempting to stand, both huge events for a person who has been bed bound for years. I want to take Liz and give her to the Family by the Ton family. On the subject of the pizza, it did appear to be thin crust. But she and her mom seemed so sad eating the pizza. It was like they were eating their last meal on death row. I didn't see any pets this episode and I'm guessing it's because the aunt can't care for both Liz and a pet. I wish her success and that she find some joy.
  6. She seems really depressed and along with a diet to lose weight, she should have been given help with her depression. There was such a difference between the beautiful smile she displayed as a child and the grown woman we see today who can't smile.
  7. I wanted to cry with Chitoka when her mother passed. All I could think about is how awful it would be to not be able to attend my mother's funeral. Because this was real life it was one of the saddest episodes I've seen on TV in a while. I do like the difference between this show and My 600 Pound Life by showing this group has interactions with other people. They don't seem to have the isolation we see so often in My 600 Pound Life. The weight displayed by this family displays seems to be a perfect combination of food choices, genetics, lack of exercise and possible medical issues. I'd be interested in seeing younger family members, kids and teens to see if they are following the same path or if they are escaping the weight issues.
  8. I'm not a fan of Hoda as a replacement for Matt. Originally when Hoda started reporting she seemed to be very good at it, however during the past couple of years something happened to her. I truly believe she's just a temporary replacement that NBC threw out there to say, see we respect women. What they should have done is apologize for the way they treated Anne Curry and brought her back if they wanted me back. I've tried watching since Matt left but I'm just can't get past Hoda's non-serious reporting of world events. My mom wants to give her a break because she's an older woman with a young child but I won't. Hoda has all the resources available to help her with a young child. Plenty of women get up in the morning, make breakfast, get kids ready, make up a few beds, start the washer, plan dinner, get in the car drop kids off and drive to work, then put in a full day 9 hour day and do it well without any help.
  9. My mother says Savanah has a mouth like a catfish.
  10. My plumber told me he is seeing more toilets ripped from the floor when a large person drops down on them. He said the tank is shoved back into the wall and the seal is broken on the floor.
  11. The Chew has always been my treadmill show but lately, I'm not enjoying it (the show) as much. I think they need to bring on a weekly guest host/hostess. They should simply address the situation and move forward. It seems to me like the current three are just going through the steps waiting for something to happen. I've always like the Chew because they kept the show light, now it seems strained.
  12. I was praying when the dog got out that he would find a better home than living in a car with two drug heads. It reminded me of a cat that escaped from one of the hoarder homes, just trying to get a better life.
  13. We often want to associate the morbidly obese with poverty and abuse because those are the people who elect to be on the show in hopes of getting something free, surgery or other assistance. I believe there are just as many wealthy morbidly obese people taking up bed space, wearing a sheet, and demanding to be fed behind closed doors. We just don't see them because their families can afford to hide them away. Someone up thread asked about why so many pets. I think everyone wants someone to love and in the case of the super obese pets fill that void. Now I'm going to go to hell for this but can we get Dr. Pimple Popper to pop that thing on the back of Lee's head?
  14. I was quite impressed with the PSA until Shamea was walking away and it appears she's laughing/smiling. I replayed it several times. Now I'm just wondering if it was all an act.
  15. One thing I like about Miss Robbie is her willingness to call out her staff on keeping the restaurant kitchen clean. It only takes her a few seconds to notice when something isn't up to par and point someone in the right direction. You always wonder what happens in the kitchen.
  16. Hey ABC, if you're going to cancel 1, cancel them all. Fair is fair. The real people who were punished here are the contestants. I'm wondering if they paid them all or if there was something in their contracts that said if we find allegations of sexual misconduct by one of the judges you'll all keep quiet and go home broke.
  17. The only thing missing from the Molly/Luis argument was mother Pedro standing the corner stirring a pot of chicken feet while Abby counted the number of undies she has for sale. I so wanted Whoppie from the movie Ghost to come out of the closet and tell Molly to run.
  18. In addition to the lower cost at the margarita bar the gene pool would be much better.
  19. David reacted to the sex talk like Evelyn asked him to watch a porn movie in church with his parents sitting right next to him. If the thought of having the conversation creates this much distress what will happen on the wedding night? I believe David is praying the key will be lost to the chastity belt so he won't have to consummate the marriage.
  20. I wish they would give Tracy her own show.
  21. I watched this episode and was just as confused about what the storyline was. I'm not understanding the closing of so many of the St Louis restaurants. Please let Charles out of the restaurant business and set him free to find another job where he can do nothing. Miss Robbie and her sisters all looked well. It's hard to understand the relationship between Tim and Miss Robbie but family dynamics can be strained when finances are involved.
  22. I hope this is the correct place for speculation. Is it possible that poor David has concealed his wealth to hide finances from his ex-wife during their divorce process? Perhaps Chris is holding his money and not actually loaning him money but pretending to so that David's ex-wife doesn't get her hands on it. Hiding money in a divorce isn't new and perhaps poor David is doing the same.
  23. If I had been Darcy I would have removed the ponytail and tightly wrapped it around Jesse's neck. Then I would have used my only contact with the outside world to post a message here asking you all to bail me out of jail.
  24. I found this interesting. NeNe and Tamar Braxton https://www.songkick.com/concerts/31383789-tamar-braxton-at-centurylink-center
  25. That denim suit looked like a 1960's country western pimp suit. My apologies to pimps and country western wear.
