  1. Yes!!! Not understanding why at 600 pounds they didn't have any issues with the way they looked, but now they want something done about it. I lost 103 pounds and I have the coolest bat wings, I could actually glide safely to the ground from a 20 story building by just holding my arms out.
  2. Millennium, I love you for telling it like it is. I'll continue to watch if you'll review each episode with the truth about what should have happened. Your recap was spot on.
  3. I wouldn't allow Luis to be responsible for my pet rock. I can't believe that Molly actually left her child with him. Considering she will allow Luis to watch her daughter I'm also not allowing Molly to be responsible for my pet rock.
  4. I'm with you. This was my hit the treadmill show M-F. I could bypass the commercials and get a great 30-minute walk/jog/run in. Although this show is about food it helped me lose 100 pounds and I learned some great cooking tips to help me maintain my weight loss.
  5. I need Carrie Underwood to ask Jesus to take the wheel and save us from another hour of GMA. ABC just lost any daytime viewing I was recording or watching on their network. I really liked The Chew because it wasn't about the news, it was simple fun and food.
  6. I'm late watching this week so I missed the live chat. I'm amazed she could buy what looked like 3 pregnancy test kits but couldn't buy one condom.
  7. One thing this family had to their advantage is they were all still mobile, they wore complete outfits, and everyone had a pair of shoes. They may not have left the house but they could still get around. About the trip to the grocery store, the sister seemed to not even understand the basics of grocery shopping. As a kid and a teen I went to the grocery store with my mom so when I moved out I knew how to make a grocery list and shop. I'm wondering how long this group was fed on drive-through meals.
  8. This show answered one of my questions about patients getting a referral to see Dr. Now from another Doctor. Some of the episodes make it seems like the person just contacts the Doctor's office and says I'm big, really really big and will be coming to Houston in a U-Haul truck, can I make an appointment. Their initial appointment with a local Doctor makes perfect sense. It also explains why when Dr. Now comes in to consult he has a stack of papers. I'm guessing it includes all of their known medical histories. Being familiar with Lafayette La, I would consider it the fried food capital of the US. I worked Lafayette for two years and it was a struggle to maintain my weight. If I wanted fried shrimp, I would have a 1/2 portion of fried shrimp, plain salad no cheese or croutons, and a salad dressing from the grocery store so I could control the calories. I did get the crazy side eye look when I told them I didn't want the other 1/2 portion of shrimp to go, I didn't want it at all. The fried food I had in Lafayette wasn't greasy, they have fried food down to perfection. Fried did seem to be the standard for Lafayette however grilled, baked, and steamed was also on every menu. Boiled crawfish, when in season was excellent. About the housing, it's classic project housing built in the late 60's or early 70's. I've seen it all over Louisiana.
  9. I don't understand why they don't work with a local bariatric doctor until they get their weight down, then travel to Houston for the surgery. I'm assuming it's super high risk and no other doctor will touch them. Stay in Houston for a few weeks of recovery then return home and allow their local bariatric doctor to do the followup weigh in, support meeting etc. I live in a mid-sized city outside of Dallas and have a friend who was referred to Dallas for surgery but does her support and follow up locally. She has COPD along with other health issues that were better managed during surgery in Dallas. This having to travel to Houston to be told stop eating and make the goal weight loss seems unproductive. They could do all that from wherever they are living. Once they met the goal weight, travel to Houston for surgery. EKG's upper and lower GI's, psych visits can be done from their hometown. Financially I couldn't do it. I would just have to take the travel money and by the pine box (the Mega XXL size) to bury me in.
  10. It doesn't appear that the mother matured past her first pregnancy age, which was 15/16 years old. Not sure where the friend is but maybe she's out with Dwayne spending the money.
  11. Maybe Sheree can get a spot on Love After Lock Up.
  12. Her mother said if she didn't go to Houston with her she would be a selfish mom, hell wasn't she selfish when she was doing men and drugs. What did mom think that was?? Love me some Grandma.
  13. I'm not understanding why she wasn't given a wheelchair and an attendant to push her. My 84 year old mother uses a wheelchair at the airport and I've never been asked to push her, so I'm wondering why they questioned if her sister could push her or not.
  14. That hit only counts if your husband can eat himself up to 600+ pounds and of course if you bring him extra large platters of food to help him maintain the weight gain.
  15. When she arrived in Houston I thought she stated she wasn't on any medication. After her initial assesment, I'm wondering if she's on some type of medication that's causing her slurred speech, droopy eye, or if she did have a stroke.
  16. I'll have to give her some credit for at least sitting up and eating. So many of them just continue to lie in bed while eating. Her food portions are small however she may be eating 10-12 times per day. After her complimentary bathing scene, she actually asked to get dressed. Which just goes to show those that have just given up on clothing truly just aren't trying to cover up.
  17. I wish they would stop the shower scenes. I have to close my blinds because I don't want my neighbors to think I'm watching some weird porn.
  18. OMG, the teeth, the teeth. I do not understand how he hasn't been in pain for years from those teeth. I lived in a hotel for 6 months while working and managed to lose nearly 50 pounds. I used the two burner stove, bought precooked grilled and baked chicken from the grocery store, made salad etc. I also had a fitness center 10 steps from the elevator. I can't begin to understand the type of stress that losing everything in a flood would create but I believe Benji could have made better food choices.
  19. It looks like they are living in a Homewood Suites.
  20. She blames her weight on her father passing and her mother going into a depression and not taking care of her. However, she doesn't see her weight as impacting her ability to care for her kids. I think she would have been better off without James taking her back. She should have put on her put on her big girl panties (I know most of them don't wear underwear) and got on with life. She and James were living like roommates but normally roommates don't have to wash your privates.
  21. If I saw the Christmas picture correctly their dog had his back turned. Even he's seen enough.
  22. I believe modesty becomes a moot point when that huge and bed bound. I can't imagine that grandson going to school on Monday and his friends asking what did you do over the weekend and him stating, I helped roll my grandmother over so we could change her bedding. If it was illness (cancer, broken bones, etc.), I would be less alarmed with a child being exposed to a nude grandparent/parent but this is a self-inflected illness where the ill person isn't trying to get better.
  23. This was a difficult show to watch. Lisa was never a good candidate for bariatric surgery because she's looking for the miracle worker that helped Helen Keller to walk through the door and fix her. I will admit, visualizing Annie Sullivan slapping Lisa does make me smile. Lisa has zero accountability. She blames her weight on food but not that fact that she chose to eat the food. I have a question regarding the fire department that helped with Lisa's removal from the home. They were actually putting supports under the porch. Did they determine this on a previous visit to the home? Why wouldn't the homeowner be responsible for modifying the ramp considering it wasn't an emergency removal. Are floor jacks and wooden beams standard equipment on fire trucks?
  24. Poor Herbert. What kind of sex life has he had in the past where he is willing to have sex with her in exchange for food. They just don't make food/frozen food that good.
