  1. Having read some of the articles posted here about how her husband's company made some of their money, when Jules said they were "old money", I thought she said "porn money"! ;-)
  2. OMG with Rinna - "CAN I HAVE MY MOMENT, PLEASE"???? She interrupted pretty much every one else's "moments" with her ridiculousness....I really, really do not like her! And, not for nothing, but everything Ken said about her was true - why should Lisa have to apologize for or be angered by it? It's Ken's opinion, and he's entitled to it. And, that is why I love Lisa and Ken's relationship. He defends his wife to the end, and she does the same.
  3. There was absolutely no reason at all for Brandi to give her "opinions" in a pre-taped, off-site segment. She is no longer on the show, except for two small scenes of her with Yolanda. I don't recall something like this being done ever before with any former housewives. If she was afforded this platform, then why not offer the same to Camille, or Adrienne Maloof? They both are former housewives and they both appeared on the show this season - Camille actually appeared more often than Brandi. And why not Faye, for that matter?? Yolanda's reasoning that Kim was able to come and sit on the couch, so Brandi should have her say is ridiculous, as Kim was at least able to respond to the other housewives' criticisms. Any criticisms of Brandi went unanswered. I think that was a bunch of bullshit from Andy. Brandi just wanted to rip LVP, and applaud the housewives who were doing the same. She is a pitiful excuse for a person.
  4. Cooper seems to be trying a little too hard this season to make himself relevant. He started out as a very, very bit player who organized the major party/ball of the social season during Season 1 of the show, and then, we saw him at more and more events last season. Now, this season, he seems to have been elevated to a "friend of" type of status, showing up at Kathryn's house and having lunch with her, throwing digs at Patricia, etc. (Patricia's description of him as a "poor man's Truman Capote" was spot on, however.) I don't know what kind of power Patricia has in Charleston social sets, but if she does wield any, Cooper may have some big problems in the future with the comments he's made about her on television. I think maybe this is a little producer driven, as it seems that most of the other real cast don't want to film too much with Kathryn, so they needed to find someone willing to do so. There was a scene between Landon and Thomas, when he was showing her his finished house, and she mentioned the party to him, inviting him. Thomas told her that he wouldn't be available, because he would be at the plantation house with Kenzie.
  5. Which was about five minutes BEFORE anyone got to the skating rink.....
  6. As batshit crazy that Kathryn can be, if Shep wanted her invited, Landon should have honored his wish. I actually felt badly for Kathryn this episode (and I rarely feel badly for Kathryn). She made an effort with Cameron, and Cameron shut her down. Whatever reason Cameron had, that's fine. I think that if you truly don't like someone, there is no reason to meet for coffee or lunch, or whatever, because that would be hypocritical and two-faced. Having said that, seeing Cameron rolling her eyes at Kathryn's invitation was kind of sad. And then, this hot mess of a birthday party for Shep, given by the new mean girl, Landon. Landon had no intention of inviting Kathryn - that was evident during her conversation with Whitney. Her horrible attempt at lying about it made it even worse. Did she not think that Shep would find out that she didn't invite Kathryn? I have a feeling that Shep is going to be super pissed off at Landon, and deservedly so.
  7. Can I just say how much I am loving Shervin? Why hasn't this guy been snapped up by someone yet?? He just seems like such an all around nice guy~~plus, he's absolutely gorgeous! Oh - and Reza is a fucking idiot. And GG driving that RV is scary as hell. Why isn't anyone sleeping IN the RV??
  8. Well,to be honest, something like this did happen to my brother (although he wasn't pregnant at the time, LOL!!). His blood pressure spiked really, really high and he developed broken blood vessels behind one of his eyes, so his eyeball was all blood shot and red. It wasn't as if blood was dripping out of his eyes, like someone from a horror movie or something. He said his doctor told him that it is pretty common with a rapid spike in blood pressure. He did spend several hours in the hospital until they could get his blood pressure back down to a normal range.
  9. I have a few pairs of Chinese Laundry shoes for a few years, too...no, not couture or super high-end, but they work for me!! :-) That Bauble Bar stuff is overpriced crap, imo, though....I have better costume jewelry that I've paid a whole lot less for than that stuff.
  10. I get the sense that Landon has the hots for anyone who has a big bank account and will give her a second look. ;-)
  11. So, there went Isaac's love for Sam, replaced by Isaac's fear and respect for Nina Garcia (oh - and Marie Claire magazine....LOL!!) I actually thought that Kini's outfit was better than Dom's, although Dom's print was clearly more interesting and vibrant, and will look great as an Otterbox phone case. I actually liked Kini's outfit more than Dom's, though. I agree with Nina-I didn't get Dom's two-length hem, and the rest of the dress was just kind of "meh" to me. There should have been no contest between Ken and Sam. Ken's may have been boring and "80's-ish", but it was far better than another poorly constructed MESH concoction from Sam. That jumpsuit was bad, and made his model look dumpy. The jacket just added to the dumpiness. And, I really, really didn't like his print, at all. When I saw those boxes and the sewing machines, I knew what was coming - wasn't there something similar on PR regular a couple of times? To me, Sam's reworked dress/jacket was horrible - I didn't get it at all!! I wasn't crazy about Ken's either, but it was definitely better looking than Sam's. Did we actually see some glimmer of humility in Sam, or was that just for the cameras?
  12. I think that Bethenny always looks great - she either has a great eye for herself, or an amazing stylist. I was totally in love and obsessed with the boots she wore to Jules' house. I'm sure I can't afford them, but they were gorgeous!!
  13. I think it may have been said at the end of last season that Lisa R would become the "new" Brandi. Except for the crocodile tears, this is now true. Lisa R exhibited all the same behaviors as Brandi did, including going for blood at other Housewives for their mis-deeds (real or perceived), but blowing off her own behaviors with a lame excuse and a "let's move on" attitude at the reunion.
  14. I would love for there to be just one season of any Real Housewives franchise where they are not allowed to tweet or re-tweet anything about the episodes. I thought it was the perfect color for a fall outdoor party. Wasn't it a classic Polo by Ralph Lauren 3/4 zip? My husband and sons have a lot of them, in all different colors. But, we are talking about Bethenny here, she, who is an expert and arbiter of everything! As Heather said to Bethenny - "Sometimes you act like a know-it-all" , and instead of some inner reflection and possibly changing that part of herself, Bethenny replied "Well, maybe I DO know it all".
  15. I thought they were absolutely the rudest guests at Jules' house. They acted like two middle school mean girls. It's surprising to see Carole act like that. Bethenny, no surprise there, because I think she almost always rude to everyone, whether in her home or anyone else's, but Carole usually displays more manners.
  16. Good questions! If Eileen did know all about this before hand, and she was being Yolanda's "champion" throughout all of this, she should have been able to "manipulate" Lisa Rinna to not mention Munchausen's on camera, just as Rinna and Eileen claim that LVP "manipulated" Rinna to say it. I like your speculation about Eileen and Rinna, as well - wouldn't surprise me, either.
  17. Bethenny has to grow just a smidge here and there, so that she can continue to take selfies of herself in Brynn's current pajamas. (as Brynn grows a little each year, so must Bethenny). ;-)
  18. I like that - whether it was mispronounced accidentally or on purpose - it's like a blend of "flustered" and "frustrated" - makes perfect sense!!
  19. Thank you for posting this! His Parsons thesis work is okay - not inspiring nor anything special, but it does show that he at least knows how to construct a pair of pants. The 2016 collection is okay, but I noticed that there is not a lot of finish work. Most of the collection is using that heavy mesh that he's used several times this season, so no need for finishing or hems. Other items have intentionally frayed edges. I have to agree with Emily about Sam. He does have ideas rolling around in that pretty head of his-he just cannot execute them properly, so the ideas get trashed for something simple and not well made. Personally, though, I don't like him or his personality. My feeling is that Sam has a much higher opinion of his talent than having actual talent. He is the epitome of the definition of "special snowflake". At this stage of the competition, he should not still be there, just because his execution skills do not equal his design ideas. I was not a particularly huge fan of Christian Siriano's personality when he was on PR (he, too, was just a little too full of himself), but there was no denying that boy could do it all, and do it well. His designs were interesting and usually very well thought out, and his execution skills were amazing. So, I could understand his personality. I am all about believing in yourself and having self-confidence, but there comes a time that you have to back that self-confidence up with actual well done work, and I'm just not seeing that with Sam.
  20. Also, when Alyssa announced that Boy George would be the guest judge, did anyone else get the feeling that either Sam didn't really know who Boy George is, or that he wasn't as impressed/excited as the other designers? I don't think he applauded right away, and there was a very perplexed look on his face.
  21. That was the best line from a judge - ever!! (And the fact that it appeared to piss off Isaac made me love it even more!)
  22. And, wasn't it Isaac who said that avant-garde is supposed to be "in your face, disturbing, not necessarily pretty, and make you think"? As far as I could see, Sam's dress was NOT any of those things, unless when you see it, you're think "How the fuck is this guy called a fashion designer?" and you are disturbed that he is blatantly getting away with sending crap down the runway. I will say that he did get the "not necessarily pretty" part down.
  23. You're right, MIss Ruth. I forgot about that extra half-hour on PR....I usually DVR the show, and fast forward through all the tediousness of makeup and hair and the subsequent plug for whatever makeup or hair care products they must do, so it seems like it's only one hour long.
  24. Ken deserved the win. His was the most avant-garde of all. It was reminiscent of Christian Siriano/Chris March avant-garde masterpiece, but definitely with a Grace Jones twist. (Thank you, Boy George, for repeating the thoughts in my brain as the model came down the runway!) Dom's was probably second for me, because, as Georgina said, it was avant-garde for her. The coat was semi-avent-garde, but the dress was just a nice dress. Kini's was definitely saved by the hood/bodysuit thing. I do agree with Georgina, however, that Kini doesn't have a good eye for fabric (unless, of course, it is denim). He seems to pick heavy fabrics with brocades in strange color combinations. I thought the dress was interesting enough, but not truly a.g. Emily's, again, was a.g. for her, but it was not a.g. enough. It reminded me of something that Fade may have designed for a regular challenge. But, it was still better than Sam's. I'm sorry to see her go - she seems like a nice person - she never was super critical of others, her talking head comments were always constructive and complimentary - not catty or mean. (Although, her makeup and hair style were a little out there, for me.) Sam's narrative is what saved him, I think. If the designers were not allowed to "tell their story", that hot mess of "Rainbow Bright gone bad" dress should have been eliminated. Sam - well, what else can be said? I'm glad that Ken spoke up to him and said what everyone else is thinking. Sam does not have construction skills - he is good at tacking poorly draped garments together. He doesn't even drape well. I think of designers like Rami, who was a genius at draping, and Sam couldn't even hold Rami's straight pins, comparatively speaking. I wonder if Sam could be the reason that the judges don't do "up close" inspections of the garments, as they do on regular PR. If they did, there would be no way that he could have remained in the competition as long as he has. It doesn't even appear that Sam sketches much of anything during their sketching time. I think he makes up things as he goes along. I'm curious - is he "self taught" or did he go to design school~~what is his background? Also wondering what he has done since Under the Gunn, and if he is even moderately successful as a designer. He obviously has some skills, because he is able to cut out a garment and construct it, but all the garments are basic, that any high schooler would learn in advanced Home Economics (or whatever the sewing classes, if they still have them, are called these days). I went to high school a long time ago, and had four years of Home Ec, 1/2 year cooking and 1/2 year sewing. By my senior year, I was constructing more difficult garments than Sam has created. Hell - I've made Halloween costumes for my kids and myself with more construction skills than he shows. I really hope that the fix isn't in - I had enough of that with regular PR last season's Ashley's undeserved win.
