  1. I forget what episode it was, but I howled laughing at the moment in S20 when Benson was trying to foil a store robbery (of all things) when the "bad guy" threw a pill bottle at her and it hit her in the face. Too bad that can't happen every episode. 😉😂
  2. One of my favorite running jokes was he would ask everyone to call him Sonny, and no one did. Rollins finally did after he had been on for a few years.
  3. I cracked up today when Carrie Ann mentioned getting a call from her publicist at one time, upset by a "horrible" story that had hit the press. The headline was "Carrie Ann Inaba - Crazy Cat Lady". Carrie Ann then mentioned that she said, "So? It's true!!!" Go Carrie Ann!!!
  4. I think Carrie Ann has really settled in. She does an admirable job moderating and I love her rapport with Sheryl. They seem like two peas in a pod. Another thing I like about Carrie Ann is that she is the first person to laugh at herself when she flubs and pokes fun at herself over her several broken engagements. She's been like a breath of fresh air.
  5. Hey, the truth hurts!!
  6. I had a lot of fun going down Memory Lane reading all the posts on this thread. I was reminded of the time I was so engrossed in the BSC Super Special book where they go to a ski lodge. I was in fourth grade at the time. Unfortunately, I was reading the book in class and my teacher caught me. My book was confiscated until the end of the day. OOOOPS. 😂
  7. Here's an interesting article about the leak: https://www.businessinsider.com/the-james-holzhauer-jeopardy-leak-will-kill-jeopardy-2019-6
  8. Brigitte was great. I would love it if they made her a regular fill-in co-host, like Carnie.
  9. More bad news for the Tribe. My prayers are with Cookie and his family...and that he makes a full recovery. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/26904907/carrasco-blood-condition-indefinitely
  10. This commercial is really stupid, but it still cracks me up.
  11. In no particular order: Catherine Marshall, Francine Rivers, Beverly Lewis, Tracie Peterson and Lauraine Snelling.
  12. I heard about the leak, but somehow my mom didn't. I kept my mouth shut and didn't spoil it for her. Had I told her, I never would have heard the end of it. 😂 Anyway, no question that James will win it all when the next Tournament of Champions airs. The question is - by how much $$$$$?
  13. I recently watched the movie again, and for what it's worth, I don't think it was a gang rape. Here's why: Anyway, it's a disturbing scene - as is the earlier one with Tony and Stephanie in the car. At least the scene in the back of the car was fairly brief - but Tony's not intervening AND "slut-shaming" Annette afterwards made it clear that he was definitely NOT a "hero".
  14. I just put holds on Pioneer Girl and The Wilder Life from my library. The entire discussion here has intrigued me.
  15. Donna Pescow even said recently that she's not sure the movie could be remade today. Both she and Karen Gorney acknowledged those scenes and how they wouldn't fly in the #MeToo era. Here's the video:
  16. How have we gone 8 pages without mentioning one of the best - if not THE best - screams in movie history?
  17. How about poor Slider the mascot getting punched out in Major League 2? I still cry laughing every time I watch that scene. We all know this is sweeping the nation...
  18. True story - at my sister's wedding reception, she had her friends who weren't in the wedding party seated at Table 9. They were in on the joke and were honored to be "the mutants at Table 9". LOL!!!
  19. One of the funniest movie scenes ever - period!!!
  20. One of the students of the school and survivors is none other than Jonathan Cain - yes, the musician from Journey. He goes into the tragedy in great deal in his own book: I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Joe Kenda's book. I heard that he has another book in the works.
