Yes, I meant Captain Deakins. That's what I get for being up in the wee small hours!! 😂 When I said that Goren was like a big kid, I meant those moments in episodes like "Cherry Red" and "Prisoner". Of course, he was whip smart and a keen observer of people. Remember "Bright Boy"? Goren was able to understand and empathize with the lonely, baseball-loving little boy who longed to be a normal kid, but was not allowed to be due to his overbearing father driven to see his son be an academic genius. I don't think anyone else on the case would have "gotten" the kid quite the way Goren did.

I love Journey and I love the song, but the video they did for "Separate Ways" is still too cheesy for words. 😂

Another sitcom I remember liking but didn't last long was Thunder Alley (1994, ABC) with Ed Asner. Haley Joel Osment played his grandson.

From a Clevelander and a Tribe fan...thank you. Our announcers on Fox Sports Ohio said that Cookie will have a press conference on Thursday, the day before the baseball season starts up again after the All-Star break. He wants to pitch again this season...God bless him!!!

You're welcome! Sadly, it seems that the video of Sara and Sawyer's musical performance has since been taken down. At least, I couldn't find it.

Sara and Sawyer did a fantastic job. "Hallelujah" is a song that is so completely run into the ground and overplayed, but these two made it sound fresh. Her sketch with John Goodman (who was a guest that day promoting something...I forget what) was not only funny and well-played, but it was the catalyst leading up to what is now The Conners. They slid back into their roles effortlessly for the sketch.

Are we getting new episodes this week or is it all pretaped again?

Scenes From a Hat has to be one of the all-time best sketches on WLiiA. One of my favorites: Drew: "The worst thing to say after she says 'I love you'". Josie: (Looks into camera and bursts into laughter.) Colin: Yeah, keep the change. Wayne: Well, that's nice...but you're not John!!
