  1. That was meh. It was a ham-fisted shot aimed more at mask mandates than anti-vaxxers.
  2. Good episode except for the wedding bullshit.
  3. I am strictly hatewatching this now. None of the main characters are even remotely relatable, either on a professional or personal level. The medical consultant (if there even is one) should be fired or have his credentials re-examined. And next week is a flashback episode. Yay.
  4. They showed blood on a rock, so I just assumed Harry slipped and fell while carrying Max, but still managed to get him home. Or fell after, I guess.
  5. I just assumed it was really early the next morning.
  6. DaFoe was good in most things and seemed up for it. Now I'm Up was funny. Peyton Manning was unexpected, overlong, and pointless (credit for the effort though) I hate it when talented singers feel the need to sing over their own tracks in order to sound better. It's lazy and disingenuous. Didn't know if the Columbus sketch was because of something recent or if they just picked a large midwestern city.
  7. Shades of Alien Nation, Halo, and Terminator, I think he had her make Grogu a biker's chain link belt and matching choker.
  8. Ehh, I liked it. Some creative transition shots with Bess crawling out/Josie coming out and the shit throwing/gravy stirring. I got the impression that the person survived due to a (possibly nuclear?) heat source. Her outfit reminded me of The Rocketeer, which Jennifer Connelly was in. Was Audrey always such a pretentious twat? Also, if you're going to have an actor/actress do a scene where smoking is a focus, at least pick one who actually smokes. The "cigar puffing" was terrible.
  9. I completely forgot that Robin Lord Taylor was young Penguin in Gotham. He's very subdued here.
  10. Influenced by? Probably. I wouldn't say "based on". Of course, it didn't hurt that that Don Adams was the voice of IG for a few seasons.
  11. . . . Aaand now you know why Will Forte hasn't hosted until now. 3 pre-taped bits and half the cast AWOL. A garbage duet skit with Kristen Wiig.
  12. The only thing that makes sense for the grocery bagging storyline is that she has to pay spousal support - maybe this will get her out of it because her nurse ex probably makes more than her now. But I don't think the writers are that smart. I don't know if it's the makeup or wardrobe or what, but Eliza Coupe is only 41. In some of her closeups she looks 50ish. The dead woman's husband is waaay too chill for being a new widower.
  13. This show is offensive to those with even a hint of medical and hospital administration knowledge; I cannot imagine what actual doctors and professionals think. Isaacs is really good at being a dick. Sophia Bush's dinner dress was very unflattering.
  14. IMO, she probably doesn't care too much. The ship was Julie's, and there wasn't much love lost between them.
  15. Or he puts his head on a "pike" like the trooper helmets! Thank you, I'm here all week . . .
  16. Good episode, I like the way the cast gels, both all together and in smaller groups. The auto-tuned fight was a nice touch, as was the backhanded swipe at Soundcloud rappers. However, are wine bars really a thing? Or are they making a low-key joke about them? With the alcohol content in an average glass and the perceived rate of consumption, these people should be hammered all day every day. Or they are all high-functioning alcoholics.
  17. Okay episode, but the storytelling is very clunky and sorta contradictory. The awful puppetry on the Bantha mouth made it look like a long- discarded Sesame Street character.
  18. Best episode of the season for me. Unfortunately, that's not saying much.
  19. No Wierzbowski or Spunkmeyer, either! 😁
  20. I can recommend the "Takeshi Kovacs" trilogy from Richard Morgan, which was adapted for TV as Altered Carbon (the title of the first book). I haven't seen the show yet though.
  21. I'm happy with it. Like most, disappointed with only six episodes and the focus on Laconia, but I'm a book reader so I wasn't really surprised. They could've shoehorned in a "vision" from Miller or video call from Havelock, but I guess they decided against it.
  22. Kevin Flynn (Tron) Douglas Quaid (Total Recall)
  23. So he walks into an open heart transplant right off the street? Who writes this crap?
  24. Wow, Jay More. Get it??
  25. This one was interesting, especially the Moms. Ty seems to be a real piece of work, though.
