  1. Cool - so part of this is based on the Wow! signal picked up by Ohio State's Big Ear in 1977. Go Bucks. But one thing I don't understand - wasn't the point of the transmissions to respond to a signal they received in the 1960s? Isn't that why she contacted the scientist in California? It seems that "Stability" vs. "Chaos" is a reference to what it could be like in a 3-body system. The players of the game apparently need to progress though it in order to solve or better predict how the bodies will behave for their society to experience any sort of prosperity.
  2. And finally we get to The Flood. One of the best kept secrets in video game history. Not crazy about their reveal, but it will do I guess. The rest was decent. I figured the "interviewer" at the beginning was going to be Guilty Spark. Since this series has next to nothing to do with game and book canon now, can we discuss the differences?
  3. Solid episode, looking forward to the finale. The Forerunner lab going all Indiana Jones-y was weird, though.
  4. Krapopolis is not very good, and Bob's Burger's sucks. Oh well. Don't even get me started on Great North and Grimsburg . . .
  5. Add me to the list of viewers appalled by that In Memoriam abortion. What the fuck is wrong with these producers/directors? One other nitpick - they had a chance to show some of the best stunts in movie history and instead we got waaay too much CGI bullshit.
  6. How did Perez go from average Marine to hyper-focused combat strategist?
  7. I was more annoyed that the second song's verse patterns and chords were a direct ripoff of Anna Nalick's "Breathe". Big Bench would have been funnier if they just introduced all the judges and then said, "sorry, we're out of time".
  8. Not really, there are other bells and whistles and it is supercharged. It may sound like hairsplitting, but they are two different ways to force air into the engine for more power. I love the way the female cop in Toledo talks to drunks as if they are toddlers.
  9. This one is gonna hurt.
  10. Bye, Felaedra. I don't mind celebrities playing, but they need to find more interesting ones and some that can actually, you know, do shit. It seems like a number of challenges come with a physical component. The last two challenges have been an embarrassment of physical ineptitude except for two players. Hopefully Kate will find a way to screw it up. Her winning would be anti-climactic.
  11. I know the new Season 2 showrunners are supposed to have played the games and read the books, but this crap makes me wonder if they're trolling the fanboys on purpose. There really isn't much difference from Season 1. They still may be able to salvage something, but my confidence is low.
  12. The medical term is perineum.
  13. Strong episode. Really liking Jimmi Simpson's voice work this season. Was the masked street urchin supposed to be somebody?
  14. Which is probably one of the reasons why the Bonner was so offended.
  15. Jordana Spiro was good. I liked her in the Mob Doctor show. It seems she may show up from time.to time, which could be interesting.
  16. I just don't see a happy ending for many characters.
  17. Utkarsh always seems to prefer wearing retro video game shirts too.
  18. A solid episode, but still disappointing. They've painted themselves into a corner with this "Silver Timeline" bullshit.
  19. Six "Bravolebrities" 🤡💩 is six too many.
  20. Decent premiere. Did something happen to Reggie Lee? His face looked odd.
  21. I'm pretty sure there's a very obscure reference in an old episode where Troy McClure says something about a "lazy cartoonist turning his rabbit family into humans for broader appeal" or something like that. I rewound the couch gag five times, and I could swear Willie yells "Fock!"
  22. Since it appeared she was wearing the same outfit, I took it to mean she was dead and her spirit was hanging out there.
  23. Price should have pushed Jack to look into this - it may not have resulted in anything, but the dude was clearly leaning towards the defense. I've always liked Cory Michael Smith, whether in bit parts like this, or in meatier roles like Gotham.
  24. So Ducklips McStewardess is going to be a traitor now. Yay. She's useless, especially since this is her second shot at it. Why is MJ even there?
  25. Cortana changes a bit over the game series, but I think they simply recast the "body" actress (Jen Taylor is still the only one to do the voice). There are a lot of Spartans - Reach is pretty much their home base, but the war is taking its toll. Most of the Spartan-IIs have made peace with Halsey's motives. The washouts, not so much.
