  1. Which is true for abut 95% of competitive reality shows. Cirie can finally say she won something.
  2. Ditto to everyone's Gun Toddler comments. If that was my business and I wasn't notified about a break-in I'd be pissed. Was that the longest sobriety walk test ever?
  3. Very uneven episode for me. Some good parts, but: I don't like Freddie or his car ghost, sorry So they handwaved the booking disaster? Without any Yelp blowback? Missed opportunity for a Grateful Dead joke (licensing?)
  4. I am aware, I just think it felt cheap and obvious.
  5. Well that was pretty dark . . .
  6. Same here - it was fun but a little uneven. Not sure I understand what the point of DarkElora is - unless the Wyrm is showing Graydon one possible future.
  7. Stop giving Jennifer Coolidge awards. She is moderately talented and painfully unfunny, and her shtick got old after the first American Pie. She was tolerable on Two Broke Girls. Return Shelly Miscavige? WOW. I don't even think Ricky Gervais has gone there. Michele Yeoh. That is all.
  8. I liked the spoofs, even if some jokes were pushing it. I've never had a problem with WHMS, but to call it watered-down Woody Allen is way off. A fair number of Woody Allen movies suck, especially the ones with Woody Allen in them.
  9. 30th reunion? Cheryl Hines is 57 and Rachael Harris is 55. 35th or 40th would have been a lot more believable, even for Fantasy Island. High school sucked for a lot of people. "Food Lady" was funny.
  10. If she truly has been there awhile, she is either the Crone or an (un)willing servant.
  11. Yngwie's Concerto will always be the gold standard for me, since it was released before the gimmick started (even though Deep Purple and others did it earlier). On the live DVD, the orchestra opens the show (without him) by playing "Black Star" and it sounds amazing. New Japan Philharmonic This "orchestral" approach also turned me on to a lot of symphonic metal bands like Nightwish and Within Temptation.
  12. I love Load and ReLoad. Especially if you combine the good songs from both into one playlist. S&M, however, was a hot mess. Kamen's arrangements do nothing to provide accents or harmony to the songs and result in extraneous noise, just like he completely ruined the end of Queensryche's "Real World" from the Last Action Hero soundtrack. The only songs I can even stand are the two unreleased tunes, "No Leaf Clover" and "-Human."
  13. Ignore
  14. The song itself is pretty bad, but it's the video that makes the impact.
  15. Kinda my point, I guess. They showed the two of then sitting on the bench year after year. The Magesterium didn't send anyone after them? Did it dissolve? Also, why couldn't Will just be responsible, keep the knife, and have an annual tryst? The amount of dust and spectre seepage from them jumping though and closing it quickly couldn't be that bad . . .
  16. Meh. Last ep was better - they could've summarized this episode in text at the end of it. So what became of the Magisterium? Did I miss something?
  17. Wow, this one almost seemed like a finale - not much to tie up, just Mary and the fallout with the priests. I still don't trust Ms. Coulter. Heh. Sorry, but I just cannot look at the name of the knife and not pronounce it "A Shitter". Yes, I'm 12.
  18. Good to see Willow stating the obvious that he's kind of a novice and has mostly lived off his one success. Not liking the modern-speak too much either.
  19. HoneyBunny in a souped-up Cylon raider, and Moriarty too! What could go wrong? The preview does look better than Season 2.
  20. Martin Short has really never been that funny to me. That being said, the Christmas Carol sketch was gold.
  21. So who or what is Will's daemon? His mother? Some random animal? How did Lee Scoresby get ahead of them if he went back to find Joe Parry?? Agree that there is a lack of urgency in the storytelling. I still don't trust Mrs. Coulter.
  22. Just when Lyra gets the verbal smackdown she deserves, it turns into sap again. These people are not all in the ICU in comas. They are dead. Unless releasing them lets them go to wherever they're supposed to end up, I don't understand the confusion. Are Heaven and Hell full? Rollerblading tapirs? Ummkay.
  23. So what did Boorman find? A scroll container? I honestly thought that Willow was faking the sorcerer shtick. And yes, it is kinda generic, but remember, the original source material came out in 1988.
  24. Good episode, I'm glad they didn't make it a Marisa redemption story. I forgot they were releasing two each week. Seems like HBO wants to just be done with it.
  25. So I learned something today, thank you!
