Good Lord. Are Lindlehof and Cuse ghostwriting this clown show?

I like how Todd and Lyle are building an ever-so-slight begrudging respect for each other. I can do without the sister marriage drama though.

Magnum P.I. (2018) - General Discussion
Tachi Rocinante replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Magnum P.I. (2018)
I appreciate the showrunners laying everything out with the relationship in the first five minutes. I don't like them sneaking around, but it I guess it creates more opportunities for misunderstandings and for hilarity to ensue. I thought maybe Katsumoto would join the PI business. James Remar! 👍 Bobby Lee 🖕 -
The opening scene was absolutely brilliant. Is it just me, or did it seem like Joel had a bit of an issue with the fact that Tommy was married to Maria? When you get to a supposed "safe" compound and there are monkeys running around free, you should probably leave. I, too, learned what a "diva cup" is.

Was that supposed to be making fun of something? That was a bullshit PC retcon, considering his "Token Black Productions" company and him clearly signing his name as "Token" in other episodes.

S03.E01: Part One - The Next Generation
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Star Trek: Picard
A good start, hope they don't ruin it. The noise of the "Cylon" ship sounded like the machine planet from the original movie. Todd Stashwick is underappreciated and a good choice for Shaw. "For Annie" indeed. -
Agree, but Nany gifted her 2 extra chances by being stupid. Their portion should've been over much quicker. As much as I don't like Nany and her horse-teeth veneers, she had no other choice but to go low on Aneesa and I don't think she was truly "targeting" her injury. As they mentioned, trying to tackle her high would have been a disaster. Strange, but incredibly true.

S09.E01: Season 9 Premiere
Tachi Rocinante replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in The Masked Singer
It was amazing to see ninety-fucking-seven year old Dick Van Dyke, but the blatant "scripted" stupidity of some of the judges makes me fast forward to the reveal. No idea who the other woman was. -
When they were talking about "the kid had to die" who were they referring to? Henry made it seem like he had another brother or something.
-
-Sure seemed that way. Also, the actress playing the wife had the flattest affect ever. If she was acting, that was well done. -IMO they dropped the anvil on that several episodes ago, but it could be "her son that nobody knows about" or something lame. -I thought it was a misdirect and it would end up being the overworked assistant guy.
-
I'm not going to re-watch, but I'm pretty sure the first person who said it pronounced it correctly.

S02.E08: Truth and Consequences
Tachi Rocinante replied to raven's topic in Star Wars: The Bad Batch
Strong episode. (Phil LaMarr is also the unfortunate guy in the back of the car in Pulp Fiction . . .) -
How the hell would Cartman not get expelled for his Hitler shrine in the school?

I preferred this much more than the "side quest" episodes.

S48.E12: Pedro Pascal / Coldplay
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
It was written by Chris and Jin from BTS (and others) for Jin to release as his first solo song before left for the military. (I guess Chris has the right to sing it if he wants.) More details on the song -
S48.E12: Pedro Pascal / Coldplay
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
That's OK, it's not a Coldplay song. 😉 The only things that took me out of the balloon sketch were the fact that it was shredded when they shot it down, so having Bowen float around like a big innertube was kinda dumb. And the "3 buses" was referring to the equipment underneath it, not the balloon itself - those things are HUGE. -
I'm waaay behind. The production values of this show are top-notch, and the acting is excellent. They are giving me just enough story to keep me interested. I thought it was Jasper that won the $250K?

S48.E12: Pedro Pascal / Coldplay
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
Disregard my comment about the song lyrics. Martin sang more than just the chorus. -
Lame, in all aspects.

S48.E12: Pedro Pascal / Coldplay
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
Good show. Pascal was all in. The first Coldplay song was a song Martin wrote with Jin from BTS. He released It for their fans before leaving for the military. Martin sang the chorus. -
The Jennifer Grey movie on Lifetime will come out first.

That makes more sense.

I'm just a wee bit torn. While the episode was beautifully acted, shot, and scored, it did very little to advance the plot other than to tell the story of two guys who didn't contribute too much (except after they died) and won't be around. We know way more about them than we do Ellie. Enjoyed seeing Tess again. Anna Torv is great. The only snark I have is even if that was Offerman's real hair and beard, it looked like high school play makeup.

Lamest car chase ever. Yikes.

Spoilers for Snowpiercer: Show, Movie, & Book
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Snowpiercer
Since Season 4 is not airing anywhere yet, I re-watched the movie. It isn't nearly as good as I remember, and I have more appreciation for the show now.
