  1. I'm with you on this. I'm SO over them and their clipboards and business suits and bad acting.
  2. I thought I read somewhere that the actress portraying Claire has been cast in another role, which might take her out of the Wayward Wonders spinoff. Not intending to be mean (but being mean anyway) I have to admit I'm surprised at this actress's success. I've seen her in a variety of roles, a movie also, and she's always the same. Same moody attitude, same moody expressions and body language and actually not very good IMO. Casting directors must see more to her than I.
  3. This series has managed to make angels and demons soooo boring. Quite a feat when you think about it!!
  4. There are more episodes with stone angels? It seemed like the concept was done in the one episode I watched. Honestly I was spooked and I haven't been spooked for a long time. Dr Who's manic racing about yabbering on about nothing has never been appealing to me.
  5. I guess I enjoyed the episode more than most here. I've only watched once and will have to go back and listen for the wrong music. Although the collector guy was creepy, I agree with ditty dot that it would have been way less complicated and more entertaining had the boys planned the heist to steal the spell from Bart themselves. It could have still been lightweight but also suspenseful and more nail biting.
  6. I have to say I'm very surprised by this news, especially with one year old twins. They must be a handful. But I'm sure she has babysitting well in order. I doubt it's a big role. It'll be interesting to see her in scenes with hubby. She is a brave girl. Fans can be brutal.
  7. I've never bothered with Dr Who, I've always found it too frenzied and annoying. But I just watched that episode with the stone angels and geez that was some scary shit.
  8. I don't think we'll see 0.7 again this season? Things usually drop off after the holidays. Is the 18-49 the only demo that counts?
  9. Dean is book smart, but he's also an impatient man. He's action man. Sitting and researching is not his thing, but if necessary he'll do it and do it well. Dean seems to have pulled the 'instincts' gene. And he wants to be out there in the trenches. The brothers balance each other fairly well - but just like Mary is suddenly super-hunter, they're really bonking us over the head with Brilliant Bookish Sam. I was irritated by the comment. But I wasn't much bothered than Sam didn't react or defend. They're not in the playground.
  10. I don't think Dean had issues with the comment. (I've only watched the episode once). It's ME the viewer that has issues. I don't get the impression Dean thinks he is stupid. Dean would consider the person making that remark as being the stupid one. Underestimate Dean at your peril. It's the the writing that's galling. This slow but insidious drift towards Dean the grunt and Sam the brain. Dean is woken from sleep - he's like a cat always on guard, instantaneously the gun is cocked and pointed. Always the hunter. But then Dean growls like a bear and it's treated as a joke. And Dean is devalued again. I know you're not a Dean fan, Wayward, so it's hard to explain...
  11. I enjoyed it as a casual viewer. As an invested viewer there were lots of WTF's of course. Sam and Dean rush half cocked into situations without a plan or proper intel. They survive because of luck. Why would Sam sell the demon killing knife when angels blades are so abundant? (I think you could probably pick up one cheap at Walmart). Angel blades trump demon killing knife surely? Instinct would have me putting my less dominant (left) hand into a scary cavity. And Sam - with your huge plates of meat - why would you blow on a fire? And - as someone pointed out - the museum would have a copy of that spell. I could go on. But as a casual viewer I enjoyed it. The hour went by quickly. Dean's 40 years in in hell were actually acknowledged. Dean's annoyance with his guiding arm made me laugh out loud. And someone noticed Dean's got a pretty face. It ended nicely with Dean in a Henley. (Maybe they turned up the heat at the bunker). So overall I'm a happy camper. Hope ratings are good.
  12. Dean has become the neanderthal. I blame writers and show runners mostly, but also Jensen to a certain extent because he seems willing to go along with a lot of the physical comedy (at which he's a bit too brilliant). It's odd because writing gives Dean instincts that seem to be missing in Sam. Dean has gotten them out of more situations via imagination and quick thinking than Sam and Sam is usually the follower (of the wrong group). I'd definitely peg Dean as The Leader. Sam mostly did research but has now been elevated to super brainy brilliance. Now Dean passes the broken Colt to Sam and says 'Can YOU fix it?' That line annoyed me last night, although I don't know if Sam actually regards himself as the smart one. Maybe Dean does? Dean thinks he's 90% crap, although I get the impression Dean looks at that as a character thing and not anything to do with his hunting skills. I think he's pretty cool with his own abilities. Dean's hunting talents and intuition have never been acknowledged by another character not ever. Neither has his depression and torment for that matter....
  13. If they wanted to give us a lightweight entertaining episode they succeeded.
  14. They'll let Ketch go full on monster I'm sure. There's no reason to redeem him. I wonder why they brought the actor back? Obviously wasn't expecting to or they'd not have killed him off. I follow him on twitter and I get the impression he got along with everyone one set and has a depreciating sense of humour. He could be interesting so long as he doesn't start twirling that mustache and pulling out BMOL gizmos from his trousers. I guess this should be in the Unpopular Thoughts thread, but I was never keen on hyper Kevin. Hope he stays in the rift and we continue with soulless Donatello. And, as much as I've grown to adore Rowena, I don't want her back either although I know she will be. Introducing witches was the death toll to TVD imo. Thing is - they just do some hocus pocus and writers have a way out of sticky script situations. It just dilutes the unease and trepidation that was there in earlier seasons before they had all these magic advantages. I just want less Saturday morning kids' adventure show and more Supernatural tragedy and dark gritty saving the world from monsters.
  15. The Jack character has been introduced to appeal to younger demographics. He won't go bad - maybe confused sexy evil for an episode or two but that will be it. I agree they're missing an opportunity to make things a lot more interesting because the baddies we have so far this season are all one-note mustache twirling caricatures.
  16. Way too much thick makeup and layers of false eyelashes. Poor Tamra could hardly keep her eyes open. And before these ladies squeeze like sausages into fancy gowns they should check themselves out sitting down. Shannon's black dress especially did her no favours. Both reunion segments were fairly boring. I agree Lydia and Peggy should be replaced. And let's see the housewives having some fun next season. Not just fights and hissy fits all the time.
  17. Nicole is extremely needy and probably sexually frustrated, no one speaks her language, Morocco is not exactly a place where she can go out on her own and be a tourist and she has little interest in interacting with her daughter. Azan is her one and only distraction (poor guy). If the show's edited so we only see the fights then there's hope, but if this is the way the two of them behave all the time then there is no hope. Azan doesn't even seem to want the almighty green card. I have no idea why he's putting up with this, unless he's signed a contract or something.
  18. Someone mentioned Cas wore a blue striped tie in the Empty but a solid blue tie when he arrived back on earth. So even wardrobe cannot keep versions of Cas straight. His abilities wax and wane according to that week's writer. Glad I'm not a Cas fan. I'd be so annoyed.
  19. Why can't we have truly evil characters on tv any more? Why do they always have to be whitewashed and have issues?
  20. I'm still stuck on that photo. Even using my industrial strength reading glasses... It just doesn't look like Jensen's shoulders ... or his stance, or his legs. Jared has no self-awareness.... he has no clue he was being disrespectful. It went on way too long. I wish Jensen had pulled the plug sooner. Is there a Con this weekend? I'm hoping to see Jensen's tattoo I hope someone asks him.
  21. Oh bloody hell! I hope not! MP 's talents are being wasted just much as MS. But I don't think he'll leave as he seems quite enamoured with his character and the snow according to tweets. I'm thinking it will come to a head and Jack will have to choose who to save (ie. not kill) - Daddy or the Winchesters. And he'll gank daddy, I think that will be the showdown.
  22. Well, I'm light years from Destiel, but have to admit they're both pretty and of course there's that chemistry. But I don't see it as 'mocking'. It's horrible writing. They've had him outright lie and put lives in danger. Angels fell and were driving tractors and everything - meanwhile Cas cannot operate the slushy machine. Just as they've gone over the top with this clumsy gluttonous Dean character we don't recognize, they've totally dumbed down Cas to the point he's both dumb and dumber.
  23. I don't care about the Cas character. But I can appreciate why his fans are frustrated. For many seasons now he's often being sent off on his own only to screw up or lie. Remember that fantastic entrance? How majestic and powerful he was? Now they have to remind him not to do anything stupid (then he goes and does something stupid
  24. I don't really understand why angels and demons are corporeal in their celestial realms. Well, I guess it's budget. And why business suits? Do we only see the North American branches of heaven and hell (or hell-asylum or whatever the hell they're supposed to be).
  25. They failed with Buffy's Dawn and Angel's Connor. But so far I'm enjoying the character Jack and appreciating the actor. I didn't think I would.
