I want to beat the hell out of whomever told Cam to Always Be Cam. His Mama? Yeah I'll take her out. And good on Magic Mike for calling him on his BS.

-
Yeah it's awful. But that "things I 'love's about you" scavenger hunt was great. Good job Producers!

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
talktoomuch replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
THANK YOU @bkathi for explaining this commercial! I never got that the little girl was actually the Grandma. I thought they were showing how cute it was that the Granddaughter imitated the Grandma so much. 😳 And yet...I still don't get it. Aaahhh "Sprinter." Such an accurate description to this newly relocated Chicagoan. -
You know @dmc, I'm a lawyer, not a doctor. But I imagine medical board hearings are probably similar to disbarment proceedings. It's not a court of law so the standard of proof is different. The accused almost has to prove they didn't do what what they're accused of if the claimant has any proof. And sworn testimony is proof.

Yes, she actually did use Taylor's confidential information against them. She fed Taylor's history with their Dad to Axe for the express purpose of using it in a business takedown. I didn't understand the whole thing (nor care), but it was about the government commandeering the Dad's research and Taylor having to make a decision to cut him off. Wendy told Axe that decision would gut Taylor. And she only knew that because Taylor told her. It's a direct violation. And also GREAT observation about Axe and Wendy only seeing one another as equals, rather than their chosen partners. I would also argue that they're only truly loyal to one another.

I resent this blatant manipulation, show. I hate Chuck and Wendy, but I hate you more for trying to make me ship Axe and Wendy. It's not working. All three of them suck in their own ways.
-
I'm so glad she kept "Magic Mike." Not because she seems even remotely attracted to him. But he gives the best WTF faces. I need his bitchface for at least another week.

I know I just met these guys but I can genuinely say I am falling in love with the fact that a series of them interrupted NeverBeCam's TH.

Cam and his Harmonica of Navel-Gazing.

Table for two.

Thay one dude with the black dad socks who slapped his own ass...no...just no.
-
I totally love the idea of the two of them as a couple, so I ship them.(Bobena? Athobby? They don't even have a good ship name!) But when I'm real honest with myself, I can admit they are chemistry-challenged. Unlike you, i actually think it's AB's fault. I have always thought it was hard for her to have a believable love interest because she mostly plays so regal and correct. Kind of undercuts passion. Meryl Streep, Djimon Honsou, John Lithgow...all the same issue for me. They're completely believable as part of an established couple, just not the falling in love part.

So let me start by saying I really like Hannah and I think she'll make a great Bachelorette. I'm not a huge fan of the premise if this show because I hate the fact that the goal of "getting a man to propose" goes directly against the whole idea of the woman having the agency and being the chooser. But I do usually generally enjoy the show overall, mostly for the snark and insight from you guys. Which is why these posts truly bug: Goes against one's beliefs? A dating show? What beliefs? Some posters talked about wanting more WOC bachelorettes. Why would that require a "movement" any more than voicing a desire for older contestants or more contestants with jobs or fewer famewhores? Isn't a show forum one of the places one would make these desires known? Actually the US Census says non-Latino whites are 61%. The original poster's point was that 37/38 is far > than 61%. And wanting a more representative Bachelor/ette. If the producers were considering actual demographics, at least 6 Bachelor/ettes (18%) should have been Latino/a, 4 (13%) should have been black and 1 (5%) should have Asian. The implication in you steering the poster to BET is that ABC is designed to cater to white people. And POC should look for themselves on their own channels, not ABC. That's not okay. In fact, BET (and other genre channels) was created just because of this very issue: major networks are often not representative. And why should a POC have to pay to see people who look like them when white people don't?

Are y'all telling me that show in that trailer All Rise is going to be on CBS? CBS CBS? Not CBS Streaming? That show? Well, I'll be. That show looks compelling. And diverse. And well-acted. And possibly well-written. I'm completely shocked. Thank goodness you posted it here @DearEvette. I never would have known to look for it.

So...we just all gon pretend like Candi's crazy ass Mama ain't wearing whiteface these days? Mmkay then. ETA: And the MOB having her own bouquet is a thing now? -
I agree. If Meghan had been able to articulate her opinion better it would have been great because there were at least four different opinions offered. It actually felt like what The View should be about. And Ana was there which totally made my day!

State of the Union - General Discussion
talktoomuch replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in State of the Union
I hope this is not frustrating for you @ElectricBoogaloo, but I'm watching the one-a-days. I don't want to binge because I don't want it to be over so quickly. Anyway, totally agree with your assessment here as Louise clearly did. The recurring theme is that Tom prefers to live in his mind because he knows he does not measure up in reality. And his ego is still shattered from Louise cheating.
