  1. There was a little promo message before that scene in the US airing that said “Stay tuned for the reveal of The Doctor’s new companion,” so I guess it will now be The Doctor, Yaz and John Bishop.
  2. Weird. Episode 5 is now available to watch on Showtime On Demand even though it says it’s from 01/03/21.
  3. 🧐 I thought this airs Sunday nights? I don’t remember seeing any of that on the last episode!? edit
  4. The way I read the clue was also that it wanted their first names because of the “named for their Grandmothers” bit, but he may have been able to get away with just “the Bush twins.” We’ll never know! He did win anyway so it didn’t end up mattering. What I also noticed was that Tom did the “All in” push gesture for that DD so he did it first, not James!
  5. Color categories? I thought the SNL categories were really clever, that one especially!
  6. Hmm, you know, I didn’t even give a second thought when watching the film about Steve taking over random guy’s body. It never even occurred to me that that could be creepy, it was just “Everyone else sees *this guy* but Diana sees him as Chris Pine.” But now that people have mentioned it here, yeah I do wonder if he just woke up not knowing what had happened.
  7. If we were supposed to feel that she was wrong in beating up an attempted rapist then they really went about it the wrong way. I was cheering every time she kicked one of teeth out. He had already been pummeled by Wonder Woman earlier in the film, and clearly getting punched in the gut by a literal god didn’t do anything to stop him from trying to rape women so what is left other than to use increased force against him? I hated that when the homeless man went to check on the rapist that we were supposed to now think of him as a “victim.”
  8. Jeopardy did not air today here in New York. Seriously they have only two more weeks with Alex and they pre-empt one? 😑
  9. The second episode was a lot better than the first but I'm pissed how they changed Larry’s escape from New York. The Lincoln Tunnel scene terrified me in the book and 1994 miniseries and was one of my favorite parts. It was so disturbing and claustrophobic with all the bodies. Changing it to walking through sewer water? Lame! 😑 There was nothing scary about that (and the lapses in geography were super distracting.)
  10. I was amused by Lizard (his name is Lizard!) talking about communicating with his iguana. FJ was another instaget, especially with Alex starting to do a Kissinger impression. (Einstein!??? Really?)
  11. They aired those recently before the current season started, when the previous season ran out of episodes because of the pandemic. I know I saw Alex's first two episodes, then they had some from I think his second year? And some other memorable episodes with Chuck Forrest & Frank Spangenberg.
  12. Instaget FJ for me but I probably wouldn’t have gotten it back when the episode first aired.
  13. What was with Adam hiding a pill inside a banana? With that shot being framed with the dog in the background, I thought he was going to give it to the dog, but what would be the point of that?
  14. Can someone answer something for me? I’ve only seen the feature films, and it’s been a loooong time since I’ve seen the prequel trilogy, but what did they mean by Boba Fett having a clone face? He’s a clone, not human? I don’t really know the backstory of that character other than Empire and ROTJ.
  15. That was great to read that the producers were also against the sharing of answers and will likely implement a rule against it for the next season.
  16. Well, sure. I mean he won just under $4000 instead of around $25,000. I like Brayden. I like when intelligent people do well on this show. I was pretty surprised only one of them got FJ, I wonder if they overthought it? The only company that means anything to me WRT to wrapping paper is Hallmark, so that was an instaget, but then I was also thinking “Hallmark is too obvious an answer. Could it be something else?” Same with the triple stumper on Boxer Rebellion. China + rebellion = Boxer, but for a $2000 clue? I doubted myself thinking it must be something harder.
  17. 😲🤢 I’m so glad I don’t remember that! I think in that case I’d have to take the penalty.
  18. Really liking this Harold and Fran much better than the original miniseries. Owen Teague (Harold) was previously in the IT remake as Patrick Hockstetter. Not a fan of the time jumps though, I keep having to remember where in the timeline we are with each new scene and I feel like that detracts from appreciating what is actually going on. Kind of surprised they are all already suddenly in Boulder: didn’t it take several episodes to get there in the 1994 miniseries? If I didn’t already know the story it would seem too odd to suddenly have Stu appearing with Harold and Fran, like what? He was just in Texas in the previous scene... The non-linear storytelling is a bit of a challenge. The line about the doctor hoping he would be able to create the most important vaccine in human history coming at the exact same time as one of the most important vaccines in human history is actually created in real life, wow. 😬 Sucks that it’s a weekly show, my free trial for CBS All Access expires next week so I’ll only be able to see one more before it runs out. And yeah that was definitely Bryan Cranston doing the voiceover! I don’t think he was listed in the credits.
  19. I find them so boring because they are basically just "Get in line, do this task, and leave in the order you arrived." When it's just a "jump off this thing" task, there is no way for a trailing team to make up any time, because it involves no skill or strength. To have one in the finale is so lame. Which is a fitting end for this season.
  20. Yeah. I fast-forwarded through all that. It was such a calculated “Reality TV!!” moment. I didn’t care to see extra screen time being spent on those fame whores.
  21. Worst. Season. Ever! (OK, maybe it’s neck and neck with the Family edition.)
  22. Because they clearly had some kind of history that will be revealed in later episodes and started following him when he walked away. They then chased him in their car. They didn't "literally do nothing." If a gang of people change direction to start following you and then get in their car to follow you, you honestly would not feel unsafe?
  23. I’ve never heard of Joan Sutherland, but somehow my mind was able to put the clues together in time to get the correct answer. “A singer and an architect, so it’s gotta be a place known for singing, but if the architect was mentioned the look of the building itself must be famous, hmmm, aha! The Sydney Opera House!”
  24. I assumed they added people noticing him so that there are now witnesses who could place him in the neighborhood on the wrong day. I don’t think we are supposed to be rooting for Adam or think he is sympathetic. IMO Adam and Michael are the bad guys, and (so far) the people on the righteous side are the mobsters and gangbangers. And I figured that Adam’s mom was shot by someone from that gang at that store, and they all recognized each other. Though I agree with the consensus here, this show is not really that good. It started to go downhill for me when they showed the dog lapping up the blood in the street. Not because it’s gross, but because that is such a cheap and amateur type shot to do. The coincidences in Episode 2 are starting to get too eye-rolly for me. The gangbanger who is wrongly arrested for the crime just happens to be the son of the woman Bryan Cranston defended in the first episode, going so far as to visit her house? Really?
