I have to say of all the rookies from last season Mandy would have been the one I would NOT have expected to retire, especially not at the last minute like she seems to have done. It's too bad and a little weird.

What was the point of the semi-ominous music over the last shots of Chad, Abby and Gabi? That was just so cheesy I actually laughed out loud. Are we supposed to see that as the ending of the triangle and beginning of Chad/Abby working their way back to each other or was it signaling there's another hostage situation in the offing?

I'm surprised the cops are on to her already but now that I see it's only 6 episodes I understand why. It does make me wonder if this is a one shot or if there's a potential for a season 2. I like what I've seen so far and if the writing and acting holds I'm going to really enjoy this. I wish more series would give themselves a finite episode limit and story arc. If you have another great story arc after great but if not you've done something much more interesting than most tv shows.

Oh goody another Quesadilla recipe along with some chili, that's not old at all. She is really out of ideas.

I loved Casey even if only because she was a HUGE upgrade (in my opinion) on Alex. I hate season 5 (was it S5?) with a passion because of the way I feel Alex messed up the dynamic by pitting Joe and Brian against each other over her to start off with leading to some of the most painful tv episodes ever about the Brian/Alex relationship. I don't even watch most of those episodes on principal. LOL So it goes without saying Alex was my Jump the Shark moment.... And then when they lost Lowell that was Shark ate the show moment. That was my death knell. I could still enjoy some episodes but Lowell to me was the heart of the show and I struggled to enjoy it after that

And CM's return could be handled by a writer who won't shy away from the physical intimacy. That's part of the reason the PaulSon reunion has fallen so flat for me. They don't get to play any of the physicality of it. They told each other I love you and no kiss really?! But that probably belongs in the bitterness thread.

I'm a new viewer so I can't speak to your Marci vs. Kate issues but I just have to say I love the correlation to Alicia and Robin on Another World. It was just such a drastic change that could not have worked without Robin being such a terrific actress. I'm also reminded of the change in Carly's on General Hospital from Sarah Brown to Tamara Braun to Jennifer Bransford and now Laura Wright. Each such different actresses but where I could buy the change in character from Sarah to Tamara I couldn't from Tamara to Jennifer. The change was so drastic in character and Jennifer (bless her heart) just didn't work as Carly at all. And then they made Laura's version a hybrid of Sarah and Tamara's versions and Laura was able to make that work. Re-casts are almost always a crap shoot and sometimes it's just too jarring a change. Since I didn't experience Kate Mansi's version of Abby I think I have less issues than you do with it. But I do absolutely understand where you're coming from.

I love his perspective and I love that he's honest about the writing without being an ass about it. I think some actors wouldn't be as diplomatic as he's been. And I couldn't agree more with what he said about the build between Chad and Gabi and how the story could have been told better. Going to love watching him the next couple of months based on what he said in the interview. I didn't watch much after they were done with the triangle but I loved his "Who the hell is Scooter?!" reaction. LOL

I hope those recast of EJ rumors are untrue and the 2nd rumored return is CM as Will. I agree with you all that have said that would a great story and well worth a Sami return where an EJ resurrection would be.... well just not worth it IMO. Disclaimer: I'm a new viewer to the show but watched a ton of EJ/Sami and Will/Sonny clips (CM's version). LOL

I'm a very new viewer and I agree Abby and Chad are endgame, everything shows it. I also am a fan of Chad and Gabi so here's hoping there's a little fling headed our way while Chad and Abby are on their break. It probably won't happen but I'll still hope for it. Now I just wish I was watching when they were hanging out while Abby was "dead" because I can't find clips of them anywhere dangit.

I see from my DVR that the "new" Spring is Sprung episode is yet another clip show. She must be too busy mining church cookbooks for new ideas.

I'm glad I'm not the only who finds that dash cam creepy as heck. I had to fast forward every time they went back to her during today's clip show. Someone please get that off her car before she hurts someone!

She's the blonde "therapist" from the first episode who was with Kyle before Megan came along. I was happy to see some follow up on that because I didn't expect any. So is she on the fake Gold Base now being brainwashed or what? Is that where Annika went to this episode? Enquiring minds and all. This was an okay episode. I wasn't happy with the whole field trip to the awful cabin in the woods but I loved seeing DeAnn and Leslie go at it a bit and I really liked the scene with DeAnn and Megan at the end. Just hope DeAnn doesn't end up in a compound in the Mountains and only allowed out for funerals and trips to the local hardware store (sorry I couldn't resist). That Hope is a piece of work though. Even if she was doing it "for Megan's own good" it's still a crappy way to get your point across to your friend and I don't even think she's coming at it from a good place. She's a bitter little harpy in my opinion.

Awww more style. I loved Candice last year, I'm bummed there's almost no chance of getting her back this season.

Bummed Jenn K isn't coming back for her 5th year. I often wonder why 4 year vets don't go for the 5th season. But I guess it's not that uncommon. I'll miss her even though her interviews rubbed me the wrong way sometimes. Not surprised about Jessica and Danielle. I really felt like they were like Angela in S10. "I'm done when I hit 5" LOL. I was surprised Melissa stayed for a 3rd year so I expected her to retire. Glad Lacey and Erica decided to come back though. And thrilled to see KaShara and Robin come back for a third year. Looking forward to the auditions. Will MTT be back again? ShellyB's comment to one of the questions made me think yes?

My cable said it was new as well and I think it's a cobbled together episode of segments of previous episodes so they can marginally call it new. Like when the Golden Girls (or other shows) would splice together clips from previous seasons and throw in 30 second segments of new material as intros to the clips. I guess that was what the ending car cam segment was for. I'm sure we're just not supposed to notice that her kids look much younger and that Alex is around. At least the French Bread pizza was condensed to one segment instead of two this time around. I might have tried to dive through my tv the first time that stupid "recipe" aired and took the last two segments of that episode.

It has been announced now and I believe it's June 5th. Thought I saw that somewhere. They're pairing it with Shadowhunters 2b. I was stunned by the S3 renewal.

I'm late to the party on this one but the best part of that was JM wanting a booking photo so she could make sure it's part of the casefile. I love JM, but especially when she gets her righteous disgust on.

Full Disclosure: I haven't watched in a couple years since they started with the selfie cams coming into the store and super glam camera filters so I literally have no idea what I'm talking about.... However, just from the commercials Shay is super annoying. I'm happy to see him getting a bit of hate here. LOL

I think it's so intriguing that Simone is the 3rd of the final five to go on the show and the 2nd in succession to Laurie. I always thought Simone's reply to the question (I think asked on GMA) about whether or not she wanted to do it was kind of a "I don't think so" brush off. I guess not! I like Sasha and I adore Simone so I'm going to be DVRing them for their pairing this season. Just like I watched last season because of how much I adore Laurie. Sasha seems like a great choreographer and coach based on how well he and Terra did last year. I'm interested to see where they go.

I figured there wouldn't be any blonde therapist update this week but it's still a bummer. I'm intrigued by what Annika is up to though. I don't think DeAnn encouraged her to meet up with Terence at IHM. Seems to me that DeAnn would want to keep her meddling with Megan from Terence rather than bringing him in to control the situation. Can't imagine this will end well for her though. I think she underestimates how focused Terence is on making sure Kyle is in a good place to benefit IHM. DeAnn and Terence's relationship is really intriguing. It does seem incredibly like a business arrangement in and of itself more than an actual marriage based on legitimate feelings. I hope we get some backstory on them. I was also sad not to see Leslie this episode. I love our fiery pregnant agent! Kyle and Megan continue to have good chemistry but I still don't get what either of them is thinking in regards to getting involved with each other so quickly considering his IHM ties and her "landmine". Hope we get more depth with them going forward. Will Lisbeth continue to be a presence? Will blondie therapist return? What is Megan's big landmine secret? Enquiring minds and all. That will keep me tuned in even though this show is still very uneven for me.... well that and the culty aspect. I just find it so fascinating!

I wasn't impressed with the 1st episode but there's something about this show (possibly my fascination with anything vaguely culty) that keeps me watching. Plus Kyle and Megan have good chemistry and I like Megan's agent Leslie and Terence's wife DeAnn (not to mention how fascinating Terence and DeAnn's relationship seems). What I'm hoping someone can help me figure out is what the heck was going on with that "therapist" this episode? Since I have little to no expectation that there will be any follow up on this on the show I know I'll have to figure it out myself. 1st we get the scene with her seducing him during a therapy session (which made me laugh out loud it was so badly written and acted in my opinion) and the only other follow up we get is Terence cancelling her contract (how many arrangements do they have with Kyle and women anyway?) and her talking about how it wouldn't be that easy because she'd spent "every night with his hands on me" and then Terence wanting his goon to get her into the institute for..... what exactly? I think there are several options but none of them make any sense to me. What do you guys think? Is there a time jump between sex/audition/new contract with Megan that I missed that makes the every night comment make sense when it previously looked like (to me anyway) that the therapy session was the beginning of whatever they had going on? Was the therapy seduction just a role play for her and Kyle? Was it just a badly plotted C Story to show how stage managed Kyle's relationships are and how dark IHM can be? Am I thinking too much about a C Story that likely just was filler for the first episode? It's probably number 4 but it's bugging me more than any other ridiculous thing that happened this episode and I have to know dangit! I'd be interested to find out what they're doing to her at the institute now that she's making waves but like I said, probably no follow up is coming on that one.

Maks reaction shot when Rick was eliminated said it all. If it could talk it would have said "Oh crap I'm still here!" LMAO I can't wait for the show to go back to elimination someone on competition night. Even skipping to the last 5 minutes via DVR was a struggle for me tonight.

Didn't there use to be a time on this show where there was a difference between an assisted jump and an actual lift? I'm almost sure I remember a time when there was. Maybe I imagined it. Or I'm confused and it was Ice Dancing..... In other news my brain is shot tonight clearly. LOL That wasn't Laurie's best dance but IMO it was better than Marilu so I'm glad she got immunity. Since she's not in danger most of my votes will go to Babyface. I really enjoyed him tonight. Take away the immunity and keep the 1 hour format. It's much nicer to watch when I don't have to listen to the judges except for scoring. And get rid of the two hour results show for pittie's sake!! I can't wait until that thing is gone and the "regular" Tuesday night line comes back. Hope that's next week!

I stopped watching for awhile because I wasn't a fan of the changes in Tony's character and the "Tiva" push so I decided to check back in tonight. Loved Fornell living at Gibbs' even though I didn't know why at first. Wonder if he'll milk this bullet wound for all it's worth and if we'll see him for a while. Other than that I wasn't a huge fan of this episode. Hope now that they've filled out the team a bit it won't be so clunky on the storytelling part. Then I'll be able to make an educated decision on whether I'll stay with it. And maybe Jennifer and Wilmer's characters with smooth out.
