  1. I love my DVR. I'm just sad that it make me late to everything because I can't watch stuff that's likely to excite me right before bed, LOL
  2. So I did catch the entire Season 1 marathon this morning. I saw a commercial for it sometime yesterday I think and didn't even realize this was a show so I'm glad they did that before the premiere of S2 tomorrow. I have lots of thoughts! I really like this show although I don't necessarily find it laugh out loud funny which normally kills a comedy for me. Wyatt Cenac is fantastic as Ozzie. The only place I knew him from was an episode of the podcast "How Did This Get Made" and I loved him on that and his dry delivery here where I can see his face just makes me love him more. I'll have to find some of his other stuff. I wonder how things will change now that Ozzie and Gina are aware they were both life experiencers and if they realize that everyone else from Starcrossed is too. And I'm deeply curious to see how things will change between him and Jonathan now that he seems to have figured out Jonathan was his Snake Man. I really like Jonathan and I was really worried they'd killed him off in the finale so I was glad to see him tinkering with Nancy's head at the end. I hope he'll help out the humans in S2. Although I can't see how he'll manage it now that he can't cover up his scales with a scarf. What do you suppose Don White's endgame is? Does he actually have someone in Iceland who can act like his mother? Or is he just winging it with Kelly? I'm super sad that Yvonne and Gerry didn't get their date. I can't decide whether I'm happy for Gerry that he finally got his experience or more sad that those two crazy kids might be on the rocks because of it. I have a question though... when he confided to Ozzie that he'd never been abducted it seemed like it was a secret but further down the line it seems like the whole group knew Gerry hadn't had an experience. Did I see that wrong or was he just there as the "Alientologist"? So glad I didn't discover this show until right before the S2 premiere. Don't know how you all have lasted! LOL
  3. Either they overdosed on the surgery or the floatation devices. Either way it's distracting as hell
  4. Wait she lives 10 minutes from town?!?! I drive 45 minutes to work on a good day! Shut up Ree on a side note reading that there was a pic with no customers in the background at the Merc gives me life. I'm petty yes I am! ??
  5. I noticed the DVR captured that care package ep and it made me wonder. Do you suppose Alex's college/sorority put the kibosh on them cutting to her opening the package at school and fake fawning all over it? Or do you suppose Alex said "cameras stay at the ranch mom" I suppose Ree or FN decided it wouldn't be nice to do that remote college shot but it honestly seems like something that would have been right up their alley. the thing that really got me about the football camp thing was she wasted all that time making the potato chips but then used store bought roast beef and assembled the sandwiches instead of you know actually making something. That cracked me the heck up.
  6. I need more ideas for my ugly flowing blouse collection!
  7. Ugh we literally have CNN MSNBC and a host of other all news channels and networks still interrupt for stuff like this... or today's OJ stupidity that made me miss the show. Thanks for for the heads up at least. It'll help me not be annoyed when Days is inevitably interrupted Wednesday. LOL
  8. Some of the LivePD segment cracked me up. Some of your annoyances are some of the things I enjoy but for the most part we're definitely on the same page. That speed chase/father with child in the car was SO disturbing! I also really appreciated the larger discussion you had around that incident. Chris Mastrianni (the cop who did the subduing) and Kevin Lawrence (the cop in the clip) when they talked about it really brought home the seriousness of the incident. Not that you didn't know that from watching the chase but to hear those details.... it was very moving. Regarding Arizona, that officer with the thumb print is James Casey. He actually was shot in the line of duty several years back too. He seems to get all the really interesting stops. Some of the ones he's had have been really crazy. Side note: that Jeffersonville cop is one of my favorites even though I'm not sure what his name is yet (he's a little new to me). I love watching him! And his German Shepherd. I was waiting for you to bring up the Cum Inn in Spokane! That made me laugh so hard! But I do somewhat agree with you about the stops with any sort of sex traffic, the tone in the studio just seems different. I have never seen a lady in the studio either as far as the commentary team. I do see some in the production room but I think they would benefit from bringing in some of the ladies we see working the towns. Like that sheriff from Spokane. I'd love to see her on the show. Not sure I'll check out the Jury Speaks or maybe I'll just watch the Robert Durst one. Out of all the episodes you mentioned that verdict is the most interesting to me.
  9. Okay so I watched the whole vlog and they are adorkable. Even if Kelsey's occasional baby voice annoyed me. Sorry Kelsey I still love ya. LOL And I agree Brodie seems very all in.
  10. Got away with it and made showgroup. I'm still stunned.
  11. Depending on when he got it cut that means we're stuck with greasy Sonny until Christmas? Or are they not filming six months in advance anymore? RC's episodes start Wednesday if memory serves.
  12. I think you have both the Littlefinger and Cersei situations spot on. Sansa and Littlefinger are square at best in this situation. She and Jon don't owe him a thing IMO. And you articulated perfectly my thoughts about Cersei. Every time she mentioned someone amongst her enemies I thought "Yeah a lot because of what you did lady!" LOL
  13. I could have done without about 99% of Samwell Tarly going about his daily duties this episode. We got the point the first time, either show him getting somewhere with his research or use that time for someone else.... like Arya who was a badass this whole episode. Other than that, welcome back show! Now that all the pieces are on the board I'm eager to see where it all goes.
  14. Almost! Pretty sure we have to endure Monday and Tuesday yet. Then Wednesday is Ron's start
  15. Interesting. I can't say I'm surprised with how skeevy he's acting in this whole Abigail mess of a storyline. Must not have been a character worth saving in Ron's mind even though JV is a capable actor.
  16. Hard to believe Tasha made it back with a Panel answer like that. Usually for a vet that's a deal breaker. And did I actually see someone in Cowboy Blue fall during the kicks across the floor?! Hope it wasn't Kelsey!
  17. Classic Ron. He didn't end up with the moniker Re-Ron during his GH days for nothing lol Although I'm with you on the Jack idea. Plus I wouldn't mind Gabi back with JJ.
  18. A bit late to this but Helloooooooo to my 1971 buddies!
  19. I'm sure that Ree and Ladd are genuinely in love. Even for appearances I have a hard time believing a couple would stay together long enough to have a college aged daughter if they didn't legitimately love each other. My issue with Ree and her family is that they appear so fake on television (and on her blog I'll bet although I'm not a reader of it) that it's hard to connect with any of them. I've never experienced that on a show the way I do with her. It's literally hard to even hate watch her anymore because she seems to be getting faker (YMMV). Most of the time I record her show and delete it without watching at this point. The only person I've ever seen on that show with any genuine emotional landscape to me is her brother Mike. Even her and her family's interactions with him are faked for the camera IMO. I'm sure they care for and love him but you just don't see that ever even though you do see it from him. It's like they all see the camera and "get into character". Makes it hard to enjoy and/or root for them in any of things shown on screen. I mean I know it's only a "cooking" show but I still need to connect to it and I don't ever with her. It hasn't been that way since at least season 2 or 3.
  20. I definitely think that's a big part of it. Yes she loves her brother and wants to trust/believe him but you'd have to be a blind idiot (or a willfully blind idiot) not to see that this is not a love match. Gabi is going along with it because it suits her circumstances. She may not consciously believe that but it's true IMO
  21. I seriously cannot wait until Nicole and her issues are off the air. The writing for her lately is so ridiculous. So do you think Abigail will find out Dario has been manipulating her anytime soon? Like maybe RC's first air date? LOL ... I think I mentioned before that I find the pairing so creepy I can't even watch. What saddens me the most about this is that for a blip it looked like they might be writing Abigail to be a stronger person and instead she went from what she felt was one unhealthy situation and dropped herself right into an even more unhealthy situation. I cannot wait until that story line is over. I also think I mentioned I'm a newer viewer (since about April) and while I glommed on to the pretty (IMO) that was Chad/Gabi even though I knew they were doomed I'm really hoping to see Gabi dropped in JJ's orbit more. The party episode where they kissed up and made it (I chortled at that one, Freddie even sold it pretty well!) and then danced really made me more of a JJ/Gabi 'shipper. I know Gabi's not all that popular in some circles (most circles?) here but I really like her. Maybe it's the prism of not having seen who she was before. That said how willfully blind can she be not to be taking Dario to task over Abigail? Yikes.
  22. I was rather gratified at least that it seems like it may be more mutual than just Chad dumping Gabi given how they both seemed to be reacting to the party.... assuming that lasts when RC takes over anyway. I guess they didn't want to pay the actor who plays that awful police chief for today? Seems like they could have at least had him handle this dumb investigation instead of someone who has motive and at least some vague opportunity to have done the crime herself. I hope RC dumps this thing fast with a blah blah Halocakes ending I'm curious how things change with RC's writing. I think I've said before that I am not a fan of him but he does usually get a couple things right on the way to ridiculousness. We'll see if that's the case here.
  23. I wasn't around for JJ/Gabi 1.0 but I enjoyed their scenes today. When Chad/Abby eventually get back together (considering the anvils we got with them today I'm sure that's on it's way) I wouldn't mind a JJ/Gabi redux.
  24. Yeah I was seeing that twitter flack too. I appreciate an actor speaking their mind but he overdoes it sometimes I think. No actor should ever just put right out there that they just couldn't sell the story line because they didn't agree with the material or the way it was written (his "checking out" comments). As you said at the end of the day your job is to act it without judging it, whether you believe it's done well or not. Hope he gets that under control. Also I agree that he should strive to be a little more neutral just for his own benefit. What's going to happen the next time someone or something comes between Chad/Abby (this is a soap after all)? You can't just marry yourself to one couple publicly ... imagine if Susan Lucci did that for crying out loud? I do appreciate him trying to preserve what he sees as Chad's core though. He just doesn't have the sway some other actors do it sounds like.
