  1. I like this show okay but yeah, mostly it just makes me mad that we get this instead of Hannibal season 4. Mmmm, Mads. As a friend of mine wrote, Tom Payne is pretty, but he ain't no Mads. Nope. The snake in the corpse thing was so Hannibal, except not nearly batshit crazy or beautiful enough.
  2. I'd kind of like to see Meg with Wade. They seemed cute. Walton Goggins (who most decidedly DOES have an IG account) posing for IG pics was just cuter than I could stand. While I still prefer him being a silky southern tongued devil, he's selling the nice, sweet, sort of nerdy guy much better than I could have imagined. Also, he looks really hot in those glasses.
  3. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10155688/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1 I liked seeing Dreama Walker as poor real Nurse Rita. I don't even know what's up with this show, and it's all very slight and silly, but I still mostly dig it.
  4. Oh, I feel better now. I'd forgotten about Ramirez's crazy teeth. Nightmarish indeed.
  5. um, can we just have Hannibal back please?
  6. Didn't the jersey/sweatshirt belong to Jon? The family gave it to Gary, but it was originally Jon's. Yeah, how did PJ/Carl get so easily into Delilah's house? I don't think it's been established, but I am sure that PJ getting to know Rome and Maggie isn't a coincidence. And YEAH...why was the nursery not set up??? Why no crib? WhyTF did the friends have to BUY her a crib? Ugh, again. I hate these people.
  7. Ugh, these people. I kind of hate them all. And they are all up in each other's business, like, WAY too much. People getting all butt-hurt about not knowing someone else's personal business is how you handle friendships in high school, not in grown up, forty something folks' lives. It's creepy. They're creepy. Did they have Katherine leave Theo just to make us not like her or root for her a lot more than we do the others? I do not believe she would have ever done that. And she deserves so much better than Eddie, no matter how regretful and pretty he is. Maggie looked rockin' with her pink hair and that cool dress. ETA: if they DID want us to not like Katherine as much, it didn't work, she's the only character I actually DO consistently like. But having her leave without telling Theo, and not speaking him to him while she's gone...not in character, not nice, stupid writing.
  8. it's disturbing that the guy playing Ramirez looks so much like him. and even more disturbing that I find him EXTREMELY hot.
  9. I will watch anything Walton Goggins does, because he's amazing, but it IS weird to see him play a nice, average guy. I definitely prefer him as the silky voiced devil types we're used to. The writing is beneath him, at this point, tho I think it was all cute and watchable. I agree it's kind of disturbing to hear his wife's death referred to, when his real life first wife actually died. I did read that WG says this role is the most actually like him in real life, so maybe he's still working some stuff out thru this show, I don't know. At any rate, I'll keep watching, because, once again, i'll watch him in anything.
  10. Abby is mostly pretty sad-sacky herself. I also have no idea why they're together. It doesn't seem like it works for either of them, but they keep hanging on, for some reason. There's absolutely no joy between them. Did we know Abby was bi prior to her makeout with with the artist chick? Feels like we did, but I can't remember. Cory Stahl looks so much like Maggie's real life hubby Peter Saarsgard that it's funny.
  11. Aw, he was the nicest, breakfast-makingest, 2 cent stamp designing husband of a cop in Fargo. I like this so far, but I liked Roanoke, so many would tell me I have no standards. I don't expect a lot from it, anymore, but I think it's fun. I'm also surprised by so many saying Billie Lourd only plays one note, as this season's character isn't remotely, to me, like previous ones. She does often play a monotone, disaffected, dead eyed sort (kind of hilariously) but Montana is vivacious and gossipy and fun loving. Who played the guy they hit with their car?
  12. Do we know that? I think Kim would fuck anybody who called himself Drew and said she was pretty. Including a minor. I hate this stupid storyline. I used to love Kim but they've destroyed her.
  13. Walton goggins is fucking brilliant. I think there's nothing he cannot do. (tho I worry, seeing the previews for his new CBS show, which I wouldn't watch if it were anyone but him, that maybe the one thing he can't do is play a normal, average nice guy, but he probably can). The kid playing Jesse had Danny Macbride's inflections DOWN. amazing.
  14. Walton Goggins is an outstanding actor, I've loved him for years, since I first saw him in a little movie called The Apostle, and many other things since, but yeah, I'd say most of his fandom comes from Justified, and, um justifiably so. Boyd Crowder is a role of a lifetime, and his portrayal was amazing. He can also, as we see when he's paired with Danny McBride, sell the hell out of comedy. I've had a crush on him for a long time, and I kinda hope that penis wasn't his. Didn't really up to the fantasy, tho certainly THIS role is not that kind of fantasy fodder, tho he's hilarious. I do think it's funny to see so many dicks, tho. Women have had to get naked for roles for years, it's only fair.
  15. whoever put Kelsey in this outfit should be fired immediately
  16. Yeah, it's been almost a month and I'm still not over this. I thought maybe some time and perspective would help, but it hasn't. I'm still just pissed off and sad. I cannot say with 100% certainty that I wouldn't watch another season, or at least try to, if one happens, but I feel like I'm done. That makes me really sad, but there it is. It's even affected how I feel about Kristen Bell, which is perhaps unfair, and probably childish and stupid, or perhaps not, I don't know, but it has. That makes me sad too.
  17. And why are they still trying to push on us the idea, even tho everyone knows her real age now, that Liza LOOKS 27---annaleigh Ashley being astounded that liza and Diana are the same age, diana asking contemptuously, upon seeing the shots of Liza and Charles together 'is this a daddy/daughter shoot?'. Liza looks great, but the idea that everyone still thinks she looks 20 something is stupid.
  18. I think this show has experienced an influx of viewers now from Netflix: my guy, my BFF and I all being among them. And I see PASSIONATE love for it, everywhere, tho I've not posted here before now, because I didn't watch it until a couple months ago. And now I've binged it and rebinged it and am now on a third watch, and it's become just part of our shared vernacular, and it's one of my fave shows ever. I'm just sad there's only one season that I'll be able to experience 'live' as it were, but I respect them for deciding to go out on a high. I love them all, but I think Daniel Levy is some special kind of genius, and one of most appealing screen presences, like...ever. I love the inherent sweetness of this show, even if it's possibly a fantasy that any town could ever be this accepting and open minded and inclusive. I love how this family, and these people, who are not originally likable, have grown and changed and become better. And yes, A Little Bit Alexis was fabulous and hilarious. Annie Murphy is so endearing.
  19. It felt contrived, all of it. Have to have relationship drama, so Luca acts like a douche (tho that's not out of character for him) and they break up, and so of course Zoey has to kiss Aaron, who's never not been in love with her, or something. Also...I have no idea of how these kinds of things work, but Zoey getting to jet off on a private plane for a dream job (at least, a dream job for a 20 year old, or it seems that way to me) in London doesn't feel earned, at all. It seems like a fantasy, not actual life. And there's no way her family, or someone from it, wouldn't have been taking her to the airport. I like Luca, or the actor, anyway, so I still want him around, but he and Zoey do not need to get back together. And yeah...what's the friend protocol now? Is Zoey required to let all the girls know she kissed Aaron or she's a bad friend? Why had she not told them about the London job sooner? Does Nomi not telling them about the professor situation make HER a bad friend? can't keep these rules straight.
  20. Well, damn. My guy and I just literally got hooked on this THIS weekend. Haven't finished season 2 yet, and still will, but this kind of takes the wind outa the sails.
  21. I loved it. I saw it twice in 24 hours, and would see it again, and soon. I"m a ride or die QT fan, i'll admit...I found PF life altering, and have been a diehard fan no matter what, ever since. I'd rank this one just behind PF, Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs. It's meandering and leisurely, sure, but I love the attention to detail, the music, the cinematography. I love the obvious passion and love for the art of storytelling. I loved the ultimate sweetness of it all, which is kind of an odd thing to say about a QT movie, but he tellus us upfront that it's a fairy tale. Leo is brilliant, especially in his scenes with Anna-Kat, and tho I'm not a Brad Pitt fan, this is his best role in years, or maybe ever, and I loved the chemistry between them. They're a latter day Butch n Sundance. I loved the huge cast, the second generation stars (Uma's daughter Maya, Andie Mcdowell's daughter Margaret Qualley, and I loved seeing Kill Bill's BB, all grown up, show up as the hippie chick selling Cliff his acid cig. I need Kill Bill 3!!) So, yeah. I loved it.
  22. I've said this a couple other places on FB, but Rob Thomas is the new Chris Carter. He created this beautiful thing we loved, and then he insists on destroying what we all fell in love with most (not just Logan, but Neptune and family and friends). It IS all his creation, and sure, he can do what he wants, but the hubris here just might catch up to him.
  23. I love Veronica. I'm cynical and wary of folks and have a hard time trusting and tho I'm 100% committed to my long term boyfriend, I don't like the label of marriage. I get her, in a lot of ways. And she's had a lot of shit happen to her to make her that way, much more than I have, so she's earned her cynicism. But damn, girl. You are not the only one shitty stuff has happened to. For instance: your now sadly departed boyfriend. Yeah, you had a bad mom and lost your best friend in a horrible way and your dad got treated shabbily by the stupid town. But what Logan went thru is arguably even worse, with an abusive dad, a murdered girlfriend who was cheating on him with aforementioned father, who turned out to be the killer. His mom killed herself. One of his friends turned out to be a murdering rapist who jumped off a building. Etc. Logan was a self destructive asshole for a long time, but he tried really hard to get better and still see positivity in the world. V nurses her bitterness like it's some precious thing. She lets it define her, kind of proudly. Sometimes I just wanna say 'damn girl, get over it', tho that sure won't happen now, since RT killed her boyfriend. Husband. Whatever. And without Neptune and the people who love her to balance her out, it just seems like she's going to be a bitter, often kind of mean spirited P.I. roaming the earth. I'm not sure why RT thinks that's something we want to see.
  24. Oh man. Poor Jason. He insists he understands and has made peace with it, but you know what, I don't think he does. I know I don't. I'll be honest: I cried like a fucking idiot Friday nite. I mean, falling on the floor crying. It wasn't hyperbole when I say I felt gutted and devastated. I couldn't even talk to my guy when he came home a few minutes later; he legit thought someone we knew had died till I could stop crying enuf to explain (without spoilering, cuz he watches too). And it felt that way. I know it's stupid, but I know many of y'all get it. And seeing Jason's face in that video makes me want to cry all over again. Man, that's rough.
  25. In the video embedded in the article I linked above, the cast gives their reactions to the news of Logan's death. While KBell sings the praises of JD's creation of the character, she seems (to me, still all bitter) annoyingly matter of fact about it all, cracking GOT jokes, etc...when she's speaking, JD looks pensive, and at one point, Francis Capra reaches over and puts his hand briefly, as if he's comforting him, on JD's knee. Choked me right up. Ryan H also seems pretty emotional about it. Wallace/Percy IS so pretty. They do at least mention that JD could show up in dreams/haunts of Veronica in later seasons, if they happen, but that is very small comfort.
