  1. I really, really wanted to have an open mind about this "Celebration of Life" and its inclusion as part of an episode of Real Housewives. I believe that Kyle was feeling real, raw grief about her friend's death -- it doesn't matter that it was a year later. The fact that Lorene's family was seemingly involved made this event feel somewhat better. I could see the reasoning that RHW is a platform, and that including this on the show, along with the information for NAMI, could potentially help others who are struggling. So, I see all of that. But then.... Morgan Wade got up on stage and... played a song about sex??? What the WHAT.
  2. I do wonder how much of the friction between Dorit and Garcelle stems from political differences that we don't see on the show. Obviously I'm not going to speculate about the details, as that's beyond the scope of what's allowed here, but I can think of several contemporary political issues on which Garcelle and Dorit might not be aligned. (I was just thinking of this because I suspect that something similar might be happening with Heather and Lisa on RHOSLC).
  3. What gets ME is that even if Dorit thinks she’s 100% in the right (which: YIIIIKES!) does she not even understand the OPTICS of a white woman turning around and claiming victimhood when a Black woman calmly tries to educate her about a micro aggression in 2023??? Is she really that stupid?
  4. I’d have to rewatch to be sure, but I thought Denise told Garcelle in the car ride over that she planned to talk to Erika? Garcelle had mentioned that Erika didn’t know what she had apologized for (so, Denise definitely knew she apologized), and Denise said she wanted to clarify or something like that. (Why, girl, WHYY?) Believe me, I’d love to blame Dorit for this, as I loathe this woman, but it seemed like this was set to go down that night, regardless of who brought it up.
  5. Right?! I know Denise is a fan favorite, but I don’t know what she expected to happen when she came back and dredged up tired shit from three years ago with Erika. The fact that Erika not only let it go at Kyle’s dinner party but even apologized was a GIFT HORSE that Denise looked squarely in the mouth. So then for Denise to come back and try AGAIN?? Girl. I fully agree that kids should be off limits but Denise’s kid is an adult now and *Denise* is the one who keeps bringing the topic of her kids back into conversation. Erika was vicious, and is an asshole, but I have zero sympathy for Denise here.
  6. Erika Jayne out there calmly and eloquently explaining the landscape of racial privilege was more of a surprise than Sutton having made out with her driver!
  7. Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. Shit. As I catch up on this season, I do think there are things to like about Kyle. She seems like a really good, caring mom. I think there's a genuine heart beating in there beneath all of the silicone and Botox. I feel for her because she got dealt a shit hand with her childhood. And it's really hard to watch her this season because she seems to be genuinely going through some sort of mental crisis, and I don't like to see anybody in pain. But, my God, she is SUCH an unapologetic Mean Girl.
  8. I don't know anything about Sandra, but I freaking love how no-frills she is when it comes to her appearance on TV.
  9. See, I think he does know that! He and Parvati were both talking about how Phaedra is ultimately a threat to them because she'll never be found out. And then she had the nerve to be all mad that folks had gotten it wrong with the vote. You don't really get to complain about the vote if you're just going to throw away your vote!
  10. So true but, for me, Alan Cumming is the essential ingredient!
  11. Please please, reality TV gods, make this happen.
  12. I'm so conflicted because, while I really dislike CT, I have realized I would be eager to watch an entire show that's just him and Phaedra discussing various topics. I also knew nothing about Dan coming in (I don't watch Big Brother) but I find him very likeable and charming. It's fun to see how genuinely excited he is about being chosen as a traitor, and the show as a whole. That said, from what we're being shown, Phaedra's doing a much better job! And maybe that's unfair, because folks are just generally less likely to suspect Phaedra than Dan, so it's easier for her to fly under the radar, but...still. She is killin' it! (Pun intended)
  13. So, not the most exciting season, but it definitely confirmed for me that I would tune in to watch these particular women read the phone book.
  14. It was enlightening to learn that Kody has trying *not* to be an asshole all of these years.
  15. Working my way through the latest season now and all I have to say is at least Kody’s de facto monogamy with Robyn means this show isn’t Sisterhood of the Traveling Coldsore anymore. Also, Jenelle! You have options! Write a tell-all book and do some cameos. Get a desk job again if you have to. All is not lost. Girl, wash your face!
  16. I realize I am so, so late to the party, but what's this about Paedon insinuating that Meri abused them as kids???
  17. Yeah, I wonder if the parents were brought in because the little kids were also going to be included - in which case it makes sense to involve Robyn because she'd essentially have to be a proxy for her young children in the exchange. She handled it in an idiotic way though! A zoom meeting? Wtf? Just assign an adult to randomly select the select the pairings, decide on a $ maximum, and that's it! This is not brain surgery or anything that requires extensive discussion. The other thing that's interesting to me is that Robyn's older kids actually were included on the original group text. They were not excluded.
  18. "Fan," "hands," or "tan"? I guess some mysteries were revealed but some remain.
  19. I really hope the reason Meri stuck around so long was for the paycheck. She's not legally married to Kody and her kid is an adult, so she's able to live a mostly separate life somewhere else, come back occasionally to film some scenes and do some talking heads, and collect cash for it. Heck, I'd be tempted...
  20. Robyn did say Kody is her best customer...
  21. Oooooooooh, watching Jenelle tell Kody “shut the fuck up” is like the warm hug I didn’t know I needed.
  22. Has anyone brought up the possibility of Kody having ADHD? He just seems so textbook: the impulsivity, inability to make a plan and follow through, short attention span, constant need to be in motion… To clarify, I am NOT excusing Kody’s behavior, nor am I saying that all folks with ADHD are like Kody. Kody just happens to maybe have ADHD and ALSO be a complete asshat.
  23. SHUT UP, ROBYN. You “didn’t see the dill-breakers between Kody and Christine”??? Years and years of a loveless marriage is not enough of a “dill-breaker” in your world? My lord, she is infuriating. “Thanks For Nothing,” indeed.
