I actually thought that Jill’s response in IG was one of the better Duggar responses we’ve seen. She was clear, honest, non-combative, and as open as it’s possible for them to be. She believes exactly what she says and it’s no surprise.

Lisa R and Harry Hamlin are actors and I think what we see of them on TV are roles they are playing. Their girls, however, aren’t actors so we see them in much more their true form. I thought that Harry might have been upset because he realized that and foresaw more clearly what the meal would look like and that the reality would shine through too much. My very normal brother and SIL and my good friend are going through this with their daughters. The Hamlin girl’s behavior is exactly how my niece acts around food. She’s in therapy now (along with her parents) but my friend’s daughter is in a treatment facility. This isn’t something that you can hope resolves itself. I hope one of the Hamlin parents takes the reins for their still minor daughter.

This post shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who frequents this forum; the post lays out exactly what every single Duggar and Duggar adjacent woman believes she has to do for a successful marriage. I bet the Bates and Maxwells and all the other various fundies feel the same way, too. And not one of these ladies has demonstrated any kind of initiative to define their marriage in a way that deviates from these “rules”. In a way, there’s a certain amount of “bravery” by Jill to put this out there so explicitly and publicly especially since by now she has to know that lots of the people who comment on her photos and blogs do it to snark at her. For all her faults, Jill’s public persona is probably the most real of any of the Duggar clan.

I saw pictures on IG and stories but you are right, she’s wearing a short coverup over a bathing suit. I don’t think that little dress fits the modesty standards of their group though! (I’m from Florida - people are in the supermarket and school pickup lines wearing stuff like that - so I am not judging her 🙂 )

This pictures with their drinks are great. I noticed on one of them he mentioned they were virgin drinks. Carlin sure did jump on the shorts and tank tops quickly so maybe by the end of the week they will be tasting real drinks 🙂 Those Bates girls are really pretty.

Yes, you are right they had a home birth. But they sold their birth story to a tabloid and only gave half the story. They want all the readers - and all the people who look up to them - to think it was the smooth birth that Duggar girls deserve. By only telling half the story, they lie by omission. You and I might tell our friends “I had the baby at home but then my blood pressure went up so we went to the hospital”. They are incapable of that and they spew their half truths to the millions of readers.

Is this the first time that we hear of a Duggar girl going somewhere alone? That’s a pretty big step and, based on their belief system, is actually a nice normal gesture, probably the most mainstream thing I’ve ever seen a Duggar girl do. Who knew she was that independent?

I don’t think Lauren is the impetus for the dramatic, public proclamations of grief - this is a Duggar TV family, publicity stunt move. All attention is good attention for them and this fits perfectly into the narrative.

I think the person next to Jessa is Anna. Things at home must be rough with Josh as she looks aged big time. This pregnancy isn’t agreeing with her.

It looks like the inside of an RV. They often have that wallpaper and trim. Probablybwhere she was staying at Big Sandy.

Maybe it’s the company that is going to get paid by TLC when they pay Jinger. Taxes are probably less in Arkansas and since Jinger or Jeremy weren’t around to sign the paperwork, they just grabbed the first person lounging around the TTH to sign. Or this LLC will hold Josh’s property.

I really don’t know but maybe as an accountant or bookkeeper? None of the guesses thrown out seem too viable and the steps they are taking are of people with a modest income. I wonder if they have a mortgage. Lots of law schools, especially if the university had a large commuter/older population, hava law degrees that can be done while working.

I’m going to defend this one against all my instincts and better judgements but she’s the Duggar that has actually become the most “normal”. Let’s not think of the finances, but her husband is in school, she wears normal clothes (your taste or not) including skinny jeans around her parents (not even the Bates girls), she cooks and blogs about it and seems to leave the house on her own (I doubt Jessa goes anywhere without Bin). Plus, we’ve all noticed that she seems to be somewhat distanced, at least on a daily basis, from the shitshow that is the TTH. I was going to say all that then I saw the heart cookie with the parents initials and not a corresponding one for the kids and I want to take it all back. I suspect Derrick has a job but after Walmart, he keeps it on the down low.

Of all the descriptions of bizarre families that have graced this forum, this one has to win a prize. So much natural and even the baby is addicted to Mountain Dew? Crazy!!!

This picture is gross. That all look great even pre-boob job Ramona but it’s a married man with his wife and HES GOT HIS HAND ON HER BEST FRIENDS ASS!!! That some class A asshole husband material. I know she’s crazy and insufferable but she’s better off without him and he will probably cheat on her again if they get back together.

Jinger looks like she had the obligatory boob job in preparation for LA. Or she’s newly pregnant.

I think it’s a sad attempt at photoshop because sitting like that in her dress left her too exposed. She does seem to be wearing tights but that splash looks like a free form line. Maybe when they emailed it to the magazine they thought someone there would doctor it up pretty and the photography staff just didn’t give a crap.

That birthday party is the most normal thing I’ve seen this family ever do. Good for Jill for putting it together (if it was her).

That picture of Felicity in the sheep is kind of creepy. There’s someone behind her because you can see the fingers but I can’t figure out the photoshop. They are so FAKE! Who photoshops a random, cute, no big deal picture of their kid?

It happened to me with Instagram. Go into your settings and turn off the microphone from each apps. Instagram listens to you and tailors ads so I imagine that other apps do as well.

I think that’s the Duggar house. Her last Instagram post is so...odd. She goes to the Duggar house to feed the animals with dog, cat, chicken, bunny, and goat? Emojis - do they really have so many animals? Then she proceeds to bake her great grandma’s pie in the Duggar’s house. Why couldn’t she do that at home especially if there was no one in the big house? These people are just bizarre.

I’m with you. The lip color is a bit harsh (I like it in general) but the eyes are nicely done and much better than the raccoon eyes. I’m not going to lie, I learned to do my makeup from a girl at the MAC counter and with that base, I think I can do a pretty good job adjusting it for work or evening. Hopefully, Jessa will learn from her SIL (probably doubtful). ETA: i don’t do foundation much less contouring so I’m talking exclusively eyes and lips.
