  1. I think it might be. That has to rank higher on the etiquette faux pas list than incorrect stemware.
  2. Thank you, nosedive, for this. But...This. Is. Impossible. Cover up any part of her face and it’s been changed in ways not explainable by changes in weight or growing older. She is really fake.
  3. I only understand this brand of fundamentalism from the very patient explanations wonderful posters here share but it seems to me that the Turpins must have adhered to the “evilness of a child’s heart” philosophy. They tempted them with food, toys, WATER AND CLEANLIESS, and unmercifully “punished” them for probably imagined infractions. To my untrained and ignorant eye, the tying up and punishing are an extreme and criminal blanket training using the excuse of “bad” children to justify their actions.
  4. They must be engaged because why would she sign the book? Who signs a book they didn’t write? Her signing and presence tells me she’s considered a Duggar already. They’ve really managed to keep this one very very quiet.
  5. They went to Australia earlier then the others?? I wonder if they left all the kids for Jana to wrangle on a 14+ hour trip while they traveled comfortably and relaxed.
  6. There were tons of gifts to wrap for the Duggar house Christmas morning and the Parents of the family took off and left a DAUGHTER in charge of children, house, and ALL CHRISTMAS PREP. Who does that? It’s just so thoughtless and mean and selfishly indulgent. Couldn’t they have gone a few weeks earlier? Maybe those two a**h*** couples planned it so they wouldn’t have to do anything at all. Birds of a feather...
  7. There’s at least 10 people in there if the kid to the right in The forefront is taking the picture as a selfie. Plus luggage and ski equipment. Seems like they are pushing the factors of safety there. Dumb as rocks.
  8. And he set the table correctly!!! Maybe he took cotillion as a kid. That’s a very nice birthday with obvious thought and effort put into it. All other things aside, I’m happy for her and for them. Hmmm...looking closer there’s a second bottle on the table. Hope it’s wine.
  9. I️ have no idea. If the letter after H is typed, it changes it to that symbol. So weird. My phone doesn’t do that on any other website.
  10. I️ don’t think she looks pregnant at all neither in her stomach or her face. If she was pregnant at Joes wedding which was, what, 6 weeks ago, she’d definitely be showing more now especially since it’s her third kid in quick succession. I️ actually think she looks pretty good there.
  11. I don’t think she’s illiterate but she definitely has someone reviewing and editing her social media posts. The style and language just dont match what she put out there before. It might even be Ben! This puts her in line with all the other D-list reality / social media personalities and shows, to me, that she’s putting in the work for her brand. If she wants to survive in the SM / reality world for a little longer, she definitely needed to up her game. Maybe she saw the lack of (paid) interest in Samuel and realized that having baby after baby wouldn’t support her forever.
  12. What Siggy did to Melissa is one of the lowest class things I’ve seen on a HW show. It’s one thing to have blowouts, screaming matches, hair pulling, table flipping inside the show universe and quite another thing to embarrass another adult in public like that. For the same reason, I can understand why Teresa was bothered by Melissa pointing out a (true) parenting flaw although I don’t find Teresa’s kids to be too badly behaved. The younger ones seem to like attention but “bad” kids, nope, don’t see it I don’t believe for one minute that Melissa didn’t know about the restaurant. Neither are good enough actors that they pulled off that conversation convincingly.
  13. I agree that someone helped her write those posts. It’s not her style at all.
  14. She posted a follow up sort of backtracking and explaining. It still doesn’t make any sense. However, I get the feeling that she is desperate and hungry to be a social media and media star like the Gaines. Lately, she’s had more exposure to mainstream culture and she has liked it. She just doesn’t have the cultural context or history to be the cultural icon she wants to be. I give her props for trying to advance her brand but I’m second hand embarrassed for her that she really doesn’t understand WHY people criticize her. Jessa doesn’t truly understand the mainstream culture she’s dabbling in because of her upbringing plus she’s still scared of it.
  15. That’s not a messy house, that’s a dirty house. Gross. I’ve got 4 boys (#boymom HA!) so I know both dirty and messy. I can give her the dusty table because I might not notice that unless I moved something but to not walk 10+ diapers to the garbage can or not have a garbage can in their changing area - dirty and unhygienic. The sheets don’t look like spit up, it looks like what sheets look like if you don’t change them for a couple of months. And the roaches that must live that kitchen!!! This must be a joke post. It has to be. She’s trolling everyone. What is her point?
  16. I think the Dullards quit Counting On for whatever their reason and they no longer feel the need to sell their kids to the public. this would be their first step to true independence.
  17. This trip is one of those weird Duggar things. A "girls trip" with no one near Amy's age? This must be a TLC thing.
  18. Jessa put up a cute video on IG of Henry rolling around a blanket on the floor playing with a toy car. Except that with what we know about this family, that might not be so cute and innocent. Clearly, she loves her children and seems like a good mom but she also loves her parents and thinks they did a great job. I hope if she's blanket training that it doesn't involve the rod.
  19. To quote my children, this guy is such a try hard. I love books almost as much as I love the aforementioned children, but this is ridiculous.
  20. Who is the girl who gets off the plane that isn't Anna? Does following everything your headship takes extend to having to travel when that pregnant? I know that at such late stages of my pregnancies, being folded up into that seemingly cramped and crowded airplane would have caused me pain for days. Anna really doesn't know how to say no AT ALL does she?
  21. The poor kids are probably just used to hearing them and feeling the RV shake.
  22. This sounds like the perfect fit for them. They will be in their element, there will be opportunities for socializing - some of which might involve women who wear shorts- and kids outside of the family for Israel to interact with. I know nothing about this church or if it's even as strict as the Duggars but it doesn't seem like it and, hopefully, Jill will start to feel comfortable around people who are similar to her but also others who are different. Baby steps.
  23. I empathize with Jill's probable disappointment at having a 2nd C-section. My main source of anxiety as my first delivery approached was that I would have a csection and not be able to have all the kids I wanted. For her, where having an extremely large family is defining of her as a person, and as (her type) a Christian, this has to be a very bitter pill to swallow. I hope she has support and someone who knows her well enough that that, if she's exhibiting symptoms of post partum depression, will ensure that she gets help.
  24. I just gave a quick glance at that One for Israel ministry website, but am I understanding correctly that they are trying to convert Jews to Christianity???? I really don't understand the relationship of these Christians with Judaism (Jills kid is named Israel which would arguably be a heathen country if they are trying to convert the citizens).
  25. I think the Duggars have served a very good purpose because they HAVE exposed this awful world by being on tv. I think that most of their tv fans are superficially so - they live cute babies, weddings!!!!, and modest wear. But there's a another group, myself included, that did not realize the depth of the dysfunction that exists not only with his family but with this subset of their Christianity. Now, I know because of forums like this. I started watching because I love big families - I have 4 and wish I had more - but I've learned, and been horrified, by what lies beneath. Now, I can understand what their tenets and core beliefs are and I am informed.
