  1. No bathing suit in the world could hide Nick's bare ass hanging out of his shorts in bed with Rachel though...
  2. Even though he was on a hit show, he was very much part of an ensemble. Most of those actors that leave those type of show get typecast for years afterwards. DWTS would at least help break that mold a little bit. It'd be no different from any of the CSI or NCIS actors showing up on something like this after leaving.
  3. Derick would have had access to Walmart health insurance at the time. Since he had his mouth surgery a few weeks later, I bet he was trying to take advantage of having met the deductible. Health insurance isn't cheap being self-employed. Unless TLC somehow lets them buy into their insurance coverage as an "employee", they probably pay north of $1,000/mo on ACA.
  4. The flight home won't matter. Jill's coming back home to the States so the airlines will let her fly whenever she wants. They can't force her to give birth in CA. I've had several friends fly in the last month for whatever reasons. Maybe a little unrealistically, I'm hoping the biggest portion of the $24,000 is health insurance in preparation for a hospital birth.
  5. Everything I've seen said he started the graduate program, then left after a year for Finland. Now he could have finished it up in the interim with online classes. His timeline was kind of sparse from late 2014 when he quit soccer to late 2015 when he took over the church so it's not impossible.
  6. I have a feeling they announced it early to cut Kristina's fans off at the knees. As far as we've seen, Kristina's gotten the typical Bachelorette editing this season. The franchise has a chance at a black lead and doesn't want the internet to ruin it. It would be a much worse look for the franchise if they had Rachel involved in similar shenanigans as Britt/Kaitlyn or Caila/JoJo. That makes me think the next few episodes aren't edited as favorably to Rachel.
  7. If they get a baseball player, I wouldn't mind seeing one of the three guys that are going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Tim Raines probably doesn't have the name recognition of Pudge Rodriguez and Jeff Bagwell. I hope the show doesn't get anyone too polarizing from the last election. I doubt Hillary or Bill would ever do the show. I think most of the Republicans that ran for President have settled into jobs again. Anyone of note that helped Trump get elected is working for him. I could maybe see an outside shot at someone like Huma Abedin if she even wanted to do the show. With the Winter Olympics coming up in a year, no one training for that is going to do DWTS. We'd be looking at a Summer Olympics retread if we see an Olympian. Probably Biles or maybe Phelps if they could land him. As an outside shot, I could see Chris Berman of ESPN taking the requisite old guy slot. He's just reduced his workload with ESPN, he's friendly with Erin Andrews, and he's in the Disney/ABC family. For actors/actresses, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone from Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World since the series got cancelled. I also expect someone from Stranger Things to be on the show since those kids seem to be everywhere lately.
  8. I think it would be better if everyone had proper supplies to trap, hunt, and fish. It wouldn't diminish the show for everyone to start out with a metal trap or trapping cord, bow and arrows, and fishing line and hooks. The item restrictions really seem to drive the starvation aspect of the show. How different would things be if the rabbits and boars couldn't chew through the fishing line?
  9. If Dave was 5'10" or shorter, he would not have broken the 17 BMI standard. Fact is 120 lbs looks worse on a man's body then even 100 lbs does on a woman. We also never saw Carleigh's bare torso to determine how bad she really looked.
  10. I also wonder if Carleigh had any other health problems. Dave had blood pressure issues and if his BMI wasn't under 17, it was all but a technicality. With Carleigh, all they mentioned was the BMI. I know they tried to justify the pull in the reunion episode with the ambulance ride, IV, and five month recovery. However, I bet even Fowler was taken to the hospital for evaluation after he won. Fowler weighed 163 lbs at the end and is 5'11". He would have had a BMI around 22. He weighed about 240 lbs coming in, so he probably had about 100 lbs on Carleigh.
  11. I call producer shenanigans on that ending. I'm very interested to see what the contestants have to say in the next couple of weeks since that ending seemed incredibly forced to me. The part that sticks out to me is that Jami, Fowler's wife, was at camp the very next day after Carleigh was pulled. Last season, David puzted around camp for two more days as producers worked to bring his daughter to him. VI is a heckuva lot closer and easier to get to then Patagonia. That tells me that the producers knew or maybe even wanted Carleigh to be medically pulled. I'd be very interested to know if Tyler was also in Patagonia waiting. The longer lead time into winter did the show a disservice. Instead of watching people practice survival skills and tackle the emotional challenge of being alone, it devolved into a race of who can lose weight slowest while maintaining BMI. But hey, shelters!!! With those medical metrics, I don't expect a woman to ever be able to win unless they are built more like Tracey.
  12. At least all the kids had their own beds. There's only one boy so if it really becomes a problem he can sleep with Dad or on the couch. I picked up the divorced vibe too. it also kind of sounded like it was a second house for the Dad with the "come out here to escape electronics" bit. I bet the kids are only out there in the summer and random weekends.
  13. Ben's birthday lines up with a Feb 9 due date. I would bet heavily that Feb 2 was based on LMP.
  14. It almost looks like the cowboy hat was meant for Izzy, but it ended up on Derick's head for whatever reason. I don't think the baby has Zika problems. Microcephaly doesn't really show up in the first trimester even if Jill was having real prenatal appointments with a real OBGyn with a real 11 week ultrasound. The pregnancy announcement was when all the abortion speak started, so if it was caused by any abornormalities it would have to be from something spotted early. Unless it's something that was determined from a heartbeat, I just don't see Jill getting the appropriate care she needs to find out about any abnormalities. Even if she had diagnosed Zika in CA.
  15. According to YouTube, the deacon has done the last two sermons. He was the original preacher and is the owner/founder of the church. From the research I did previously, the Laredo church has existed in some form for awhile but merged up with the San Antonio church in the last few years. That's when they sent Jeremy down to be the head pastor. I would assume the deacon likes being fairly hands off, but doesn't mind stepping in to cover some Sunday's. I don't think it's a good sign for longevity if Jeremy doesn't come back regularly for a few more weeks. He's used up the wedding & holiday excuses. If he's not thinking of bailing ship, we should see him start headlining more Sunday's here shortly. The church puts every Sunday service on YouTube so it's pretty easy to tell who preaches and who doesn't.
  16. There's a Christmas Day sermon posted to their YouTube page that features Jeremy. It could have been taped beforehand and shown at the service though.
  17. It was in the 30's and 40's earlier in the week in Laredo when I would guess the video was filmed. I could give Jinger a pass since the female beanies are more of a fashion statement, but Jeremy could have taken his off easily. It's like they were pressured to make a statement the minute they walked in the apartment.
  18. I'm still pissed Chris never got a paternity test. If the dates lined up, he should have found out for sure that he wasn't the father. I would have appreciated a throwaway line somewhere that showed he wasn't a complete dumbass. I have to wonder if the baby storyline was a pet project of Glasberg's and was halted after his passing. It was an awfully weird way to drop the baby storyline so that it could never come back to Chris. Unfortunately, I do think this is supposed to lead into the twu wuv of LaSalle and Percy. He's done chasing the badge bunnies, he's ready to be a father, they have their city mouse/country mouse banter so obviously they need to hook up.
  19. Testing doesn't matter with females. It can be transmitted in sperm for up to six months, without symptomatic activity. If she's having sex with Derick, she's going to be treated as a Zika risk until the end of the pregnancy. That means regular testing and more growth ultrasounds. The smartest thing for them to do is use condoms until the end of her pregnancy, but we all know that's not going to happen.
  20. I think it's possible that Jill will have an 11 week ultrasound. She should be under some kind of medical care and she still has a high Zika risk, even if she tests negative. Even if she and Derick are that dumb, Cathy isn't. I imagine there's a lot of pressure to do things right this time, so to speak.
  21. I wonder if Jill thought she was having twins, then an ultrasound only revealed one baby. That would make the miscarriage-implying tweets and a pregnancy both true. Unless Jill is determined to have this baby under the table with herself as the primary caregiver, few real midwives are going to treat her after a C-section without some kind of regular OB care.
  22. I don't think it's fair to solely blame the divorce on Christina, even if she did cheat emotionally or physically. Obviously Tarek has some anger management issues and we have no idea how some of the outside forces they dealt with changed their marriage. We also don't know how the dynamics of a second kid changed their marriage. Tarek was also the first to admit very proudly in interviews that when push came to shove, Christina was the one to sacrifice in name of their finances or family. That always gave me the impression that Tarek never sacrificed an equal amount. Very few women and men wake up one day and decide to cheat when their marriages are 100% perfect.
  23. Back when Christina was trying to get pregnant with Brayden, she was pretty open about the IVF treatments that she had to go through. I know she was also on bedrest for awhile before Brayden was born. She's also given a few interviews about how hard the c-section recovery was and about post-partum depression she had after Brayden. I kind of got the impression from some of those interviews that Tarek wasn't as involved with the kids as she would like. Couple that with the Success Path lawsuit, Tarek's cancer, Tarek's back surgery, working together every day, and the flipping business in general and it's easy to see how they'd despise each other over time. Any one of those things alone could lead a couple to divorce and they seemed to hit all of them in the last few years.
