  1. It's ba-ack. Or, at least it will be. Windy City Rehab has been renewed for Season 4. 12 Shows Renewed at HGTV for 2024
  2. Thanks for the heads up. This is really going to disappoint my mom. She's 92 years old and does not do digital. She's remarked over the years how the magazine has diminished, but she still enjoys it.
  3. Shouldn't Sasha stay in Port Charles at least to testify against Dr. M.? I doubt he's gonna plead guilty. Also, why must there be only one Face of Deception? There are so many kinds of women. This is your opportunity, Maxie and Lucy.
  4. Call me mystified that Lucy, Maxie, et al. are A-okay with losing 51% of their company. You have no control now, ladies. Unless is it possible that someone else came in at the eleventh hour to save the day and it wasn't Tracy who got the deal? Still 51%, ladies. Not good. Unless it was Lois. Maybe she did it for Brook Lynn. Or something. I dunno. I just don't want Tracy to win. Ever. Love the actress. She's fun to watch. But Tracy is vile. And speaking of vile, poor Ned. His family essentially drove him to amnesia, now some of them aren't that fussed if he doesn't come back or are outright edging towards not wanting him to. Sadly, I'm not confident the show would play those beats now, with oldbie writers coming back. If Ned does come back, he should just skip town for realz (with Leo, 'cause he'd be better off).
  5. I even remember Decker. I watched Subspecies for him and Anders Hove. Good times.
  6. Yeah, I have liked the character beats that we've been getting lately. It feels old school soap in a good way. Neither set of writers is perfect, but I'd rather keep the subs than get the old writers back.
  7. Love that episode! It's hilarious from top to bottom. Another one in my Top 5, with Jazz Records. I may have to go on a binge to confirm the other three. Okay, I love the one where Someone! Hates! Raymond!
  8. It's a losing proposition, isn't it? I mean, some Big Bad had Mason gather up Nicholas to use as leverage against Ava in some ephemeral plot against Sonny, but is now just letting Nicholas go his merry way in spite of all that still being in play? Sure. Totally makes sense.
  9. This whole plotline is dumb, for a variety of reasons and this is one of them. Even if she lost Deception, Lucy could fall back on her real estate career, as she's already floated. She even already has a potential client in Ava, if she ever gets around to putting up Spoon Island and Wyndemere for sale. That'd be a healthy commission. But, also, why would Lucy and Martin have to get married for him to support her, if need be? They wouldn't. Not to mention Lucy knows Tracy really just wants her ELQ 1%, so that gives her the leverage. Not sure at all why Tracy thinks she's in the catbird seat.
  10. Man, that is some low rent prison if the warden can't get a better office than that. And, also? If you want Drew to do some undercover work for you, Sonny, best not to actually come see him in person. This business with Ava and Mason and Austin, oh my. Didn't she already tell Sonny everything, and didn't she tell Austin she told Sonny everything? I'm confused. As are the writers, I think. I mean, even in the midst of a storyline, more so than he's been since being on the show, I still don't know who Austin is - good guy, bad guy, something in between - and the sad part is, neither do the writers. Also sad, Ned's family essentially driving him into amnesia and now his wife might not even want Ned back if it means displacing Eddie. With all that love in his life, he should come up with a third persona and leave PC very far behind in his wake.
  11. That dress looks very much like one my old Barbie had (and which is still lurking in the dark recesses of my closet). But, wow, I don't think that "walk" was doing it any favors. Count me as a Mimi stan, though. I don't know about other runways, but she elevates anything she models on PR's. If she can't sell it, it's hopeless.
  12. He directed a few flirtatious remarks at Christian early in the season, so maybe he's got a thing for him? But, yeah, time and place, Bishme. Time and place.
  13. Hey, Joss, remember that sentiment - It's not your fault, Sonny did the crime. - when the truth comes out about Nina dropping a dime on Carly and Drew. What's that you say? It's totally different when it's Carly? Sure, girl. We see you.
  14. My opinion is that both are true, though the second not because of the first. Exactly. It seems like someone from the CDFA should be on the finale judging panel. After all, they'll be the ones spending a lot of time with the winner, possibly more than PR itself did. I don't remember exactly when they stopped doing this, though I'm pretty sure I remember Christian doing it as mentor at least once. Sadly, like so much else, I think it fell victim to budget cuts.
  15. So, of all these collections, Brittany's is the one you single out for possibly looking costumey off the runway? Okay, Zac Posen. I still wish you were a regular judge, rather than Brandon or Elaine, but agree to disagree on that. This is the first time I came into a PR finale not caring who won and, after seeing the final collections, I still didn't care. My favorite look overall was the look Laurence had at judging. I thought Brittany's collection was the most cohesive, but nothing wow about it, and Bishme's... Shrug. It seemed kind of a mess to me and forgettable. The only look I remember is the final look and that's because of the mountain of tulle. Agree that this was Bishme's to lose from Week 1, at least on Elaine's part. Her slip has shown all season. Also, agree that the mentorship is an inherent flaw in the competition, as it put the older, already more established designers at a disadvantage. That said, I do think all three of these designers are talented. I wish they'd been given more than eight days to produce collections. Oh, what we might have seen if they'd had the time they did in past seasons. I would've loved to have seen a final collection from Rami, given the proper time. He would've brought the couture. Winners and loser aside, this wasn't a very well put together finale. It seemed to lack a lot of the substance we usually see in PR finales. This one seemed bare bones in more ways than one. Hopefully, we'll get another season, and hopefully it will be better. In more ways than one.
  16. I was so sure one of them - either/or - was gonna get murdered today, but nothin'. The wonky camera angles and that sketchy alley place led me astray. Disappointment!
  17. You are not at all off. She was supposedly inspired by a building she thought looked like an ice cream cone with a bite taken out of it. I looked for that in her design and did not see it. Rami really was the only one who tried to meld both parts of the brief - avant-garde and an architectural inspiration. That and his singular originality should've gotten him the win, but... I dislike Elaine as a judge more and more each season. There are opinions and then there are biases, and with Elaine? Her biases are showing.
  18. Okay, Bishme's win this week really bugs me. I think he's a talented designer, but this week? He sends down the runway what the judges themselves think is a Mugler knockoff and Christian's design for a hat, and he wins? Ugh. What happened to wanting originality, Nina? This season, I think Rami made a habit of picking the wrong materials for his designs. Always something satiny and soft, which works for the flowy he excels in, but not so much for the more structured. That said, I'd have kept him in over Brittany, if only because he relies on his own ideas and not other designers', as Brittany has done more than once this season. So sorry to see Rami go. Along with the nostalgia for old school PR that he brings, he is a good designer and such a lovely, gracious man. Boo and hiss, PR.
  19. Okay, judges, just so's ya know, the hat? Was Christian's idea. I like Brittany's, especially the iridescence of the fabric, but it reminds me of that puffer guy's work from a few seasons ago. Rami's was kind of a mess, but I want him in. Laurence's, um, well-made. Looks good. Mimi slays it, as usual. But avant-garde? I dunno. No idea who's gonna win, but I've felt for a while now that the season is setting up for a Bishme win, so I don't see him going.
  20. Doesn't Lucy own like 1% of ELQ stock and isn't she often the pivotal vote when things go down? I'm not sure I'd push her around too much if I were Tracy. Seeing Cody today reminded me of Spinelli and his illegal algorithm. Did that ever get resolved, or did it disappear into the winds of time? This is not an invitation to bring that storyline back, Show, because, please, no.
  21. Ray: You moved his records. Robert: Excuse me. May I finish my story, please? Amy: Go ahead, Robert. Robert: Thank you very much, sweetie. Robert: I hated you. That transition from speaking to Amy to speaking to Ray... BG was phenomenal in that scene. One of my top 5 eps, too.
  22. Oh, gosh! If you have Disney+ or Hulu, it's available there. I'll be on the lookout for other places. Hopefully, it will turn up other places soon. I DVRed it, but haven't had a chance to watch yet. I've been thinking of doing a rewatch of Season 1 lately, and this will really get me in the mood.
  23. Below Deck Star Gary King Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Former Crew Member This is the guy that was flirting with Anna, right? Can't say I'm surprised. He seemed so skeevy, I felt Anna was having a major lapse in judgement on a number of levels.
  24. Yep, me too. Not to say I'd miss him if he were gone, but this storyline has saved him from being a total nothingburger of a character. I find myself rooting for him, especially since all of Sasha's other friends are content to stand around fretting how strange this is without actually doing anything. The cynic in me is hoping that saving Cody from the junk heap wasn't the sole purpose of the Sasha!Torture porn story, but... Note to Show: Enough with the Sasha!Torture. It's been way, way too much. I now actively want Gladys feeling Sonny's wrath. I'm also now actively hating nunuMolly and nuKristina, and their personality transplants. Molly has definitely handled this all wrong with regards to Kristina, but also, no means no, Kristina, no matter how hard you think talking at her will change her mind. (Note to Kristina: It's also not just Molly who didn't want you as their surrogate.) Calling Molly self-centered seemed rich to me, from Kristina, because hello? It's their choice, Kristina. They're obviously not without other options, and if Kristina can't foresee the difficulties of having her be Molly's child's biological mother, just... wow. That said, this storyline and Curtis are now can't be fast forwarded fast enough material for me. Erm, how much without carne? And beans? Note to Carly: You do know that every penny that comes into Kelly's does not go directly into your pocket, right? Right?
