  1. The interactions between Cody and Brook Lynn and Sasha and Chase this week all struck me as chem testing, but I hope they don't put Chase and Sasha together. Not sayin' Cody and Brook Lynn are the answers, but Chase and Sasha both need someone with more umph to make them interesting. Together, they'd be so vanilla.
  2. Cody is awfully chipper for only being, what, a few days out from Britt's murder. And, seriously, where the heck is Steve? Worst bodyguard ever. Truth talkin' Drew. I like it.
  3. Here now. A roomful of monkeys could totally write a better show. Or than Sonny and Carly. Yes, does he not have a bedroom? Always on the couch. And is he going to ask mini-Carly if she regrets it every time? I don't know about her, but I do. Yes, and it's definitely a pot, meet kettle situation, too.
  4. Here's how you do it, Show: Girl falls for new boy; girl breaks up with old boyfriend; girl sleeps with new boy. Reversing those last two makes the girl a cheating cheater who cheats. Guess the show is just gonna ignore that, because we dasn't think ill of the show's newest heroine, but, yeah, I see who Joss is, Show. And, seriously, she wants Cameron to assure her right then that they're still friends? She really is her mother's daughter. Taken as pieces, there was some good, soapy stuff in this ep, good character/relationship moments, stuff that moved storylines forward even if only a bit. And I love when we have scenes that mix up the usual scene partners or put a large group together to make it feel more like a community. More of that, Show. But I really wish they would've spent more time on Britt dying, extended those beats. I mean we didn't even see her arriving at the hospital, seeing people like her good friend Spencer reacting, the police being informed, etc. I guess we'll have more of that tomorrow, but it would've been better in the immediacy of the moment. Now that Britt has officially been murdered, I wonder if either of our new Super Couple will come forward as witnesses. I mean, you surely can't rely on police who don't even take pictures of an assault weapon on the dock before picking it up to solve the case. Perhaps Joss can channel her helplessness into being the next Sherlock Holmes as well as a doctor.
  5. Just when I was ready to give the show kudos for defying my expectations of having Esme disappear again and Britt being hooked, they... have Britt being hooked. Ugh. Kudos withdrawn. Not to mention Heather being The Hook. Predictable, boring, and totally without stakes. I know, they could totally say "But wait! Maybe she's not the only Hook!" (I was trying to remember if she could've been available for hooking every time someone was, but my memory's not that good.) Whatever, Show. That's been done and is totally predictable, boring and without stakes, if it's Ryan. And the opposite of kudos goes to Joss taking the leap into full-out cheaterdom. There's no reason she couldn't have broken up with Cameron first, her boyfriend and best friend. You had to have sex with Dex right then, Joss? Well, then, shut it next time you want to reign in judgement over someone else, girl. Seriously, does she have any concept of what it does to someone's ability to trust for the rest of their life when someone does this to them and she does this to Cameron? Sex with Dex right now worth that, Joss? This is not a rootable pair, Show, so stop with the music.
  6. Sooo... I guess when Sonny hung AJ up on a meat hook and tortured him till he gave up custody of you, it wasn't low, Michael?
  7. I don't disagree on that point, but I'm not sure Andre is the man for the job. I always found him a snorefest when he was on before.
  8. Where the heck was Joss's bodyguard - Steve, is it? - when she was stranded at night by the side of the road? With that kind of ace effort, he'll find himself with a one-way ticket to the Pine Barrens any day now. I know it was all in service of having Dex "rescue" her, but geez, that was dumb. Too bad Cameron didn't happen by in time to see his girlfriend making out with a mobster muscleman by the side of the road. Joss considers herself such a paragon of virtue that she feels free to judge everyone else, she'll convince herself that sparing Cameron's feelings by not breaking up with him is a good thing, even as she's falling into bed with Dex.
  9. Didn't TC "jokingly" say he was available the last time MC was off? But I'm gonna reiterate, for my own part, I really, really don't want him back. I intensely disliked him on the show, and I don't want to have to fast-forward one of my favorites - MW - because he's her scene partner. Somebody new, please!
  10. She should be, especially since that's her own history when she had Nikolas. But should we really expect the show to remember that? All this "I never liked Austin" crapola is such an obvious contrivance to break up Austin and Maxie, a couple the writers themselves gave up on ages ago, but this is really the best they could come up with, Maxie getting all in high dudgeon because Austin blackmailed Spinelli? Maybe Maxie should be more concerned that the father of one of her kids is committing federal crimes. Maybe she should remember that said baby daddy is on call whenever Sonny/Jason/Carly/Sam need a little hacking done. Really, Maxie, Austin blackmailing Spinelli into using the illegal algorithm Spinelli created is the line? I'm really afraid it's all just in service of getting her and Spinelli back together which, ugh, no. It's bad enough the show has given up on dressing Maxie with any semblance of fashion, let's not add injury to insult by regressing her back to Spinelli's arms. And, seriously, what has Austin done to earn everyone's dislike? Mind you, Austin and Maxie are a real mismatch - The show really missed out on a Britt/Austin pairing. - and I don't care if they break up, but putting it all on "Austin's a poopyhead" is ridiculous. Has it ever been explained why Rory went to that apartment? Aren't Jordan and Dante curious on that point? He wasn't under orders to do so. I dunno, I'm still not sure Rory was on the up-and-up. I am still stunned at the magnitude of Nikolas's and Elizabeth's stupidity.
  11. I may be at a table of one, but I always strongly disliked TC on the show. If MC is gone, I hope they recast with someone totally new to the show.
  12. Stupidity, thy name is Elizabeth. Good glory, woman. Does she have any idea the amount of hurt she's going to cause with this lie, on top of what she's already done to Finn, and for what? To protect her good buddy Nic and his asinine secret? Seems reasonable to me. Not. Yeah, I wash my hands of Elizabeth after this one. When EMT woman kept raving over flying first class and staying at the Metro Court? Yep, Carly hit that first, Drew, with cold hard cash, methinks.
  13. I got the "trying too hard and too fast to lock this down" vibe from him. Which means he probably is the Hooker.
  14. I missed a lot of points, too, during my first watch, so I started a re-watch, which has definitely made some things clearer. I'm not sure binge watching this show is a good thing or not, but re-watching is definitely recommended.
  15. Hey, guess what else is dishonest, Drew? Insider trading. He acts like that's not what he and Carly did, so he's either really disingenuous or really, really stupid. I'm betting on the latter. And the writers are acting like Michael wasn't in on the whole thing, participating in those conversations, so I guess they're counting on us having bad memories or being really, really stupid. I'm betting on the latter.
  16. So Joss felt helpless and desperate when Ava, the mother of her sorta sister, was hooked, and likewise when the guy she's hot for was shot, but the perfect stranger bloodied and beaten by said guy and abandoned by everyone at the bottom of a staircase? Nothin'. 'Mkay, then.
  17. Is it awful of me to wish that Willow would be the one to drop dead right now? Because, yeah. Willow is the one who is so self-focused that she ascribes Nina's every action and motivation to some plot to get in good with her and/or Wylie. They have gone way too far with her hatred of Nina. Nina could rescue a busload of kids from a burning fire, and Willow would say she's just selfish and looking for attention. At this point, when the truth comes out, I fully expect Willow and Michael to demand Nina's bone marrow, expect her to thank them for the honor and privilege of donating it, then Carly to be carried out on everyone's shoulders being hailed the hero of the day. Really, are we supposed to feel for this version of Willow? Because, nuh-uh.
  18. "I don't care what he's blinking." Ah, Ava (and MW), I love you.
  19. Once again, I guess we're all just supposed to forget that Willow cheated on Chase, but, no, Carly, why should Sonny know better? I know we've seen flashbacks as to what happed with Lucy, but did they ever show how/why Holly ended up washed up on a beach?
  20. That music really bugged me, like this was some romantic moment we were supposed to be rooting for, instead of it being about the incipient cheater Joss is about to become. It's simple, little girl: You want someone else, break up with Cam first.
  21. Enter Carly and her crackerjack nursing training from... what, 20 years ago? She'll have him cured in no time. I like the new Trina well enough as an actress, but she just does not have the presence of the original. I miss her. I've never been pregnant, but is it a good idea for a pregnant woman to throw herself down on her stomach, even if just on a bed?
  22. I dunno, I can see the RA being alarmed if she got wind of the bed bug cover. Not really the smartest idea, but, then, it's Joss, isn't it?
