I'm with you. It's not Lauren's fault that Josiah had a failed courtship. The thread title implies that Josiah is marrying her out of desperation because he couldn't find anyone better. I hope she doesn't read this board, because she doesn't deserve that.

I vote Oliver if it's a boy and Elizabeth if it's a girl.

While I was watching poor Joy struggling through hours of labor pain, I thought of another possible reason fundy men don't want their women giving birth in hospitals. Yes, I get that home births are cheaper. Yes, I get that health insurance is expensive when you're self-employed. Yes, I get that these men don't want strange male doctors looking at their wives' lady parts. But I think there's another reason. They think it's OK for women to suffer. They believe this is God's will. After all, didn't Eve disobey God, eat the apple and bring this punishment on herself and on every other woman ever born? Maybe this is how these men justify the pain of natural childbirth and resist medical interventions that might make it easier. Women are second-class citizens who don't deserve pain relief because hey, they're sinners. If childbirth hurts, too bad - it's their own damn fault.

They were less than 5 miles from me, but I was happy to see that Chocolate Heaven is still at Pier 39. It's a chocolate-lover's paradise.

The difference is that they're not all together in one room trying to having sex with Kody at the same time. (I know, pass the brain bleach.)

Kody questioned the need for a women's march because, among other things, "The legislature is already half women." I call B.S. on that. Female members of U.S. Congress are actually 19% or 20% of the total.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jessa isn't pregnant now, but wore that tunic top deliberately. In her previous pregnancies, Jessa went out of her way to hide her bump until she was ready to announce. Maybe now she's trying to stir up an "Is she or isn't she?" online buzz so she can steal the spotlight away from Joy Anna, Kendra and Jinger and be the center of attention again.

That "wine" on the table might be water. Restaurants sometimes serve it that way.

The bottle has a champagne cork in it, too. I zoomed in as far as I could but couldn't read the label.

If Jana ever gets her own thread I think that for now it should be titled "Jana Lisa" (or "Mona Jana") because she is just as mysterious as the smiling lady in the painting.

I suspect that Derick's sudden obsession with masturbation and Jill's difficult childbirths may be related. If Jill has been told to avoid future pregnancies Derick probably isn't getting much hey-hey these days. Perhaps he's struggling with his own desires, which cannot be righteously fulfilled. But like many moralistic types, instead of owning his sexual frustration and dealing with it, he is projecting it onto the rest of the world.

I can believe Jessa's pregnant again, if only because of that cat-that-ate-the-canary expression on her face.

My guess is that Baby Forsyth's birth date will be fudged. Joy will have a home birth, which ensures that there will be no hospital records that would give away the baby's actual birth date. The TLC crew will sign non-disclosure agreements. (I'm not sure whether Arkansas birth certificates are public record or if there's any way they can be falsified. Does anyone know?)

I didn't know either and had to Google it. Apparently she is a character on the TV series Arrested Development who is described as bland and highly religious.

My guess is that Jill was advised she should not have any more children. Even if she didn't have a hysterectomy, this news would be devastating and could account for both the radio silence and the relatives crying in the elevator. TLC might be asking the family to keep this news under wraps so they can tease it in promos, build suspense and generate higher ratings for the big reveal. For Jill's sake, I hope I'm wrong about this.
