  1. Is it me? Or has Mel B had some serioussss botox done? Every time she laughs or smiles her cheeks gets crinkled in half from top to bottom like its not even Mel B we are looking at. Why would she do that? She's a very pretty woman. Ugh. I'm in awe of the cats. Cats do whatever the hell they want to do at all times. Trained cats? CRAZY. Loved Shin Lim. Loved the female comedian. Loved both dance groups we saw. Actually wound up laughing my butt off at the water guys and, I thought they were horrible in their opening seconds. Creepy Sacred Riana ... I didn't care. As for the golden buzzer moment ... it is so overproduced and manufactured and so wrung out for ultimate melodrama and tears streaming down faces (of both the act and the viewers at home) ... all it does it turn me off completely. All that said, glad the show is back. I can usually find 15-30 minutes of solid entertainment within the 2 hours.
  2. I have to agree. I don't know why ... but I really like Kameron. She's wayyyyyy low-key. But she knows how to turn it on for lip synchs. She CAN be funny. And her winning challenge was well-deserved. She's very professional and, I think Ru respects that.
  3. Thoroughly enjoyed this last night. It's interesting to see where this 1st HOUR episode stopped in regard to the 2. 5 hour long movie version from 1992. I like how they're pacing this one so far; considering that this is 4 hours long.
  4. Kyle only listens and seems genuinely engaged in conversation when it directly involves her. And when she DOES ask someone a question about their lives/what's going on ... you can see her brain going somewhere else almost immediately after the question is asked -- she can't seem to help it. It's like, she's "with it" enough to ask the correct question and appear engaged, but then her brain just goes off to whatever else is on her mind anyway. Another example. Season 4 (?) when Carleton (was that her name/spelling?) was telling a very personal story to Kyle and a couple of other girls and Kyle - who had just met her - literally peaced-out of the conversation and flitted away to do something else mid-conversation because it was uninteresting to her in the moment.
  5. Molly did slam Kelly. Kelly was surprised and bummed about the ridiculous comments. Then Molly got slammed by thousands for slamming Kelly and apologized to her because of the backlash. Ridiculous.
  6. 3 Observations: 1) Erika was way too harsh. And I agree with those above who say that Teddi is way too real and has way too much common sense to deal with these well-honed reality stars just yet. 2) Dorit's accent completely went out the window looking at that flashback from last episode when Lisa told her that the jewelry was like an eclipse in their relationship. And Dorit was all: IS THERE AN ECLIPSE IN OUR RELATIONSHIP? Lisa then says, a little blight. And Dorit says: REALLY? OH, I DIDN'T SEE THAT. ---- Those sentences were uttered without even a hint of an accent. It really is true that when she's on the defense, the accent goes bye-bye. 3) I love Kyle. I love Camille. Does anyone else - like me - always look for their interactions in the wake of Season 1's debacle? Every season whenever Camille and Kyle are together I just stay glued to their every conversation, side conversation, fun moment, and general interaction because I've come to enjoy their friendship over the years. I'm not saying that they're the BEST of friends or even the CLOSEST among the group; that is obvious. But I've always felt that the 1st season miscommunications blocked what would've been a really nice friendship that they could have had from the get-go and I just love where time has taken them. If you look back on last night's dinner scene, there are several stolen moments where the camera is focusing on whoever is "miked", but off to the side you can see Kyle and Camille deep in plesant, casual conversation. Call me strange, but I just love seeing that; warms my heart. That's all.
  7. Oh, Twisted, indeed. But shes really changed her persona over the years and I think shes just a lovely, amiable presence in this group. I like her friendships with the girls and, I think shes much smarter/more keen than she looks. She has interesting insights (historically, in her talking head interviews).
  8. I agree with this. I think Dolores probably does think that of Tre and might have said so to someone who told Danielle and she's RUNNING with it. Part truth, part lie = combustive behavior and drammmmma. I think Dolores has been a good friend to Tre, but she also knows how difficult her friend can be. We heard Dolores say what Caroline has said in the past: "I've put my own reputation on the line being a good friend to Teresa", etc.
  9. I didn't like the look on Tyrion's face when Jon entered the room. I took it as: Tyrion knows exactly what Cersei is up to. We didn't see the end of his conversation with Cersei. She manipulated him with her pat on the tummy. She IS his sister (means something deep inside). I think she told him that she had no intention of coming to help in the North. I think Tyrion is to stay quiet about it. And I hope he eventually tells the new lovers what's up. Maybe he's conflicted (being The Hand to Dany). Maybe Jamie will meet up and be the one to tell of Cersei's plan NOT to help. In any case, Tyrion looked sorrowful when he observed Jon enter that room. I think he knows that things might not go well soon enough.
  10. Both these posts/quotes make my heart sing. I couldn't have said it better. USUAL SUSPECT, yes!!! And TENNISGURL - firstly, I'm an insane tennis nut, so I love your name already - but your entire post is how I felt, too. Love this movie. You both wrote how I feel so eloquently.
  11. I thought this was very, very good. Lean, tension-filled and wonderfully crafted. 9 out of 10, or so. I also loved the narrative structure; bouncing around from the "land" to "sea" to "air" sections pretty smoothly. I also liked seeing one event occur, and then in the next scene, you'd see the prior scene about to occur but from a different perspective -- so cool. Performance-wise, everybody served their purpose extremely well. I suppose you could say that Rylance was the stand-out {a lovely, warm, humane performance), but Fionn Whitehead (as our "lead"), Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, James D'Arcy, Harry Styles, et al impressed me as much for giving such understated, genuine, authentic portrayals. Now. For the criticism that you won't get emotionally involved -- horse pucky. Maybe I didn't know if Fionn Whitehead had a loving father at home, or that Tom Hardy had a pregnant fiancee waiting, or that Kenneth Branagh had 3 cats and a dog looking out the window for him, or if Harry Styles like to play cricket and tell dirty jokes. Didn't matter. We followed these characters from the first moment til the end and I felt for them (and all the young men onscreen). The moment when Branagh's character grabs the binoculars, utters the word "home", and the music swells with the subsequent visual out in the sea ... tears were streaming down my face. I would nom this for Picture, Director, Screenplay, Editing, Cinematography, Sound & Score. I don't know what'll happen with the Academy 5-6 months down the road. But I'd be surprised if they didn't respond well to it.
  12. Judy Garland's was very sad, as well. We know she took a few too many sleeping pills/barbiturates, etc. But I found it most interesting that there was no alcohol in her system. And I also did not know that she was around 85-90 lbs. at the time of her death (possible bulimia, rotted teeth, malnurition). So THAT + too many sleeping pills/barbs in such a weakened physical state is what likely killed her. Having seen some photos of her from a month before her death really does show the extent of her physical state and how sickly thin she was. She just didn't have the strength.
  13. I miss her, a lot. Wish she'd come back. I enjoyed the love/hate relationship between her and Bethenny. I liked that she could be the voice of reason (mostly) when it came to Dorinda/Luann hijinks. I love when she used to go up against Ramona in the early years. Yeah, she can come back. Tinsley ain't doing it for me; neither did Jules. She's horrible. Simply put.
  14. Brief Thoughts after this episode (nothing has really changed): Sheree is delusional and ridiculous. Kandi is the only one who I can remotely respect; though, not always. Cynthia is still a whatever. Dont dislike her, dont love her. Kenya entertains me. Kim Z entertains me. Porsha disgusts me. And Phaedra takes the cake when it come to disgust.
  15. 100% agreed. LisaR would not have gone anywhere in any conversation against Kim that night or maybe subsequent nights had Kim not shut her damn mouth and kept her opinions (that had nothing to do with her) to herself. Rinna was being very pleasant with Kim all night up to that point (fake or not). I absolutely blame Kim in this situation ... and most situations. We all know how Rinna is, but I think Kim has always been far worse.
  16. Rinna is a mess. In what world would I EVER take Kim Richards' side in ANYTHING? Well. Rinna made me do that tonight. Rinna could have just taken the high road. But no. And next week's preview? I sure hope what Rinna says is being taken shown out of context. She couldn't really be saying that. Because ... Realllllyyy!?!?!? Ugh. As for Game Night overall, it was pretty cool. Dinner looked great. The games were fun. I like Eden ... so far. Dorit still bugs me. And I love having Camille around. She might not always say much anymore (Season One taught her THAT) but I love her Talking Head musings. And I enjoy the Kyle/Camille friendship.
  17. -Can not stand Dorit. There's almost nothing I like about her. That said, I can't quite tell if she was flat-out lying to Eileen about not remembering the dinner conversation or if she's that type of person who half-listens/yesses people to death/acts invested/involved but actually doesn't pay close attention to things being discussed that anyone else would be engaged in. Her reactions to people in normal, colloquial conversations are so affected and mannered and phony that it seems like she's really not paying attention and much more into her own self. That's what I get out of her. -Liking Erika this season. That may change. Time will tell. -Lisa Rinna is Lisa Rinna ... nuts. -Eden? Too early to tell. -Always glad to see Camille. And her house is gorgeous. -That's what I got this week.
  18. I thought the 2007 movie version was much better. The younger actors here were simply not very good. But it DID get better as it went. Harvey Fierstein, Martin Short and Jennifer Hudson saved it for me. I think worst of all, though, was the direction. Poor lighting, sound issues, missed cues, odd camera choices and blocking. All that said, I enjoy the material so much that I still found a way to enjoy it on a certain level.
  19. -Much better night than the last 2 weeks. -Billy was his best since Fight Song. Wow. -I love Christian. Sings with such heart. -We was great. But yes, gimmicky last 10 seconds or so. -Sundance was very good. But his song choice was not my fave. -Brendan continues to impress me. Funny enough, though he's a very good looking dude, I enjoy NOT watching him and just listening. Its not even that he makes odd faces or anything. I think his looks are a distraction and when listening to the song(s), I get more out of the experience. -Ali needed that pimp spot, needed that song, and needed that performace. Wasnt perfect, but I still thought it was pretty darn good. -Worst of the night, sadly, was Courtney, I like her, but fear the result tomorrow. -Everyone else was kinda blah/ok, for me.
  20. Heh? Christian was one of the better ones last night. Did well on iTunes, as well.
  21. For me, best of the night were Ali, Brendan, and Christian. Hope they get lots of votes. Billy shrieked too much towards the end. We sounded good in parts, but goes flat on big notes. The country guys were good, not great. And Darby is a horror. I fast forwarded through half of it.
