  1. I researched sheets 3 years ago, and settled on these ones from JC Penney https://www.jcpenney.com/p/wrinkle-guard-400tc-cotton-sheet-set/ppr5007993758?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&pTmplType=regular&cid=affiliate|Skimlinks|13418528|na&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=Skimlinks&utm_campaign=13418528&utm_content=na&cjevent=cf95c01cdb4511ee83d203750a82b838 They came highly rated from Wirecutter. I like them, and they are holding up well.
  2. You might not have to hire a tax professional. I remember the times I moved out of state that I needed to file a partial year tax form for the state and not the regular state form. I have never filed my state taxes using TurboTax, so I don't know if they do partial year state taxes.
  3. I don't think anyone complained yesterday. I think the thread closures yesterday were a result of the survey, and these will not be the only forums affected by the new policies. Valid concerns were raised and are now being addressed.
  4. What really irks is knowing the show would have delved into this issue deeper in its past form. Back when the writers cared about the Order part of the shows title. It's a legitimately terrifying idea that is probably technically legal. It sucks that it got dropped to focus on St. Olivia.
  5. Olivia was too busy self-flagellating over not stopping George in that delivery truck and comforting Maddie's parents to offer any aftercare to Tanya. Probably a good thing in the long run for St. Olivia to forget about her so quickly after saving her.
  6. You are not remembering it wrong. George from Canada was hired by him to kidnap the real Maddie after he somehow found out his precious doll was modeled after a real girl who just so happens to live in NYC.
  7. Is this the last of the Maddie saga? I ask because there has been zero follow up to the Maddie Sex Doll (TM) modelled from supposedly private pictures. Someone on Mom's friends list is a perv, are we going to get some closure on that? Or are we supposed to forget the middle of that episode?
  8. That commercial makes me wonder what Todd did to warrant getting the vacation home. I highly doubt Todd did as much as Mr. Mumbles to deserve the home, his name is Todd** after all. **I personally hear the name Todd and think of "Why is the carpet all wet Todd??" and George Carlin's Guys Named Todd bit.
  9. I don't think she as bad as "Duggar Time" but she is not someone showing up anywhere 20 minutes early. I can also see her not understanding airline time. A 12:40 flight does not mean be at the gate by 12:35 and you will get on the plane. Jill would be "David it's only 12:28, I have time to go and check out this shop."
  10. Three hours is the bare minimum of time to get through customs, check in again, TSA, and get to your gate. All it takes is one little thing to go wrong, and you are not making your flight. And so much can go wrong with a lot of factors not being your fault.
  11. I can see them missing their domestic flight after going through customs. The only time I flew internationally, I went through Philly and it was a haul going through customs, rechecking my bags, and getting to the gate. And that was before TSA. Someone like Jill who does not fly internationally can easily not give themselves enough time to make it through all the steps in between flights.
  12. I don't think it would dawn on any of the Duggarlings that travel is a luxury especially the ones who are single and JB still pays all of their bills. They have disposable income from their various jobs and are choosing not to save for the future. Though I do question if JB would want his sons to be saving for the future. That would mean the boys were thinking of a life outside of his Umbrella of Control.
  13. I was just rattling off some country artists who's existence in the canon of country music prove how wrong John is. Yeah, folk music is and has always been antithetical to John and those he supports.
  14. I can see that being a feature if you live out in the boonies and have to traverse winding roads at night. But, one would think you would test all those settings at night.
  15. I would start with pointing out the "leftist" roots of country music. Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson come to mind, so does Loretta Lynn singing "The Pill" on national TV.
  16. I know that a few streamers have done weekly drops of episodes, and I do appreciate that. Rarely do I have the time to watch all 8 or 10 episodes of a show in one weekend, sorry Netflix. I honestly do not know how Netflix can truly gauge the success of a show in such a short period of time, two weeks after dropping all the episodes. Outside of critics and the perpetually online folk, no one has the time to watch the latest release in its entirety ever single weekend. Between work, family, friends, and housework, most people can only devote so much time a week to one streaming service. I know I have to plan out which weekend I will get around to catching a show on Netflix, and that weekend may be a month after the show initially dropped. I think Netflix based their data collection methods on how people were watching back in 2020 completely forgetting why we were all at home back then. Or certain juggernauts were dropped on the perfect weekend for thousands of Americans to watch--Bridgerton Season One and Squid Game come to mind. You cannot judge all of your original programming on how well those outliers did.
  17. Yeah, the show really twisted the concept of mandatory reporter in order to make this episode happen. The therapist may have a duty to report, but reporting to Olivia after Olivia's session they way she did is not going to be proper procedure.
  18. When you consume enough stories as books, movies, or TV shows, there really are not a lot of true spoilers anymore. It's easy to tell where the story is going, for me at least, that you can see when the story is going to twist and what that twist will be. I think the last time I was truly shocked was when I first watched Mad Men, but even then I should have seen Checkov's lawnmower coming and there were enough textual clues pointing towards some of the deaths.
  19. Be careful what you wish for, or we could get Ben's brother cleaning up his SNL sketch or joining his brother and Tommy. I only like Krispy Kreme when that hot donut sign is lit. Not a huge fan of Dunkin's donuts, but their coffee is my favorite drive thru option.
  20. The kid and the various NFL players were not actually rampaging through the market in Ghana. It was only a kid living in his own little world walking around his hometown and a dog that knows what's up. I thought the full commercial was cute, and I loved the glimpse of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah watching the kid from a balcony in one of his resplendent fits.
  21. We also could find out that CT is really not allied with the "leftover" group and is a plant for Peter's Pals. From what I remember, CT has been flitting in and out of the various discussions and not an active participant in either. Appearing to be unaligned means both groups will fill you in.
  22. Knowing what I know about Truman, I see him using his Swans the same way he is using Joe, and the same way he used Harper Lee and Carson McCullers. I can see the show exploring how the Swans thought they were somehow different than Harper and Carson.
  23. Yeah, Phaedra's best play was choosing a Faithful in her alliance. No one is going to question her saving CT, and now a Faithful is on the hook. CT is now facing Trishelle's wrath, MJ is hurt no one picked her, etc. It's also better for the Traitors to have Peter get voted out instead of them murdering him. Phaedra is playing the long game here.
  24. I honestly wish this season was Feud: Capote vs. Vidal. Both writers, both openly gay when homosexuality was technically illegal, both had a biting wit, both drunks, and both assholes. I'm finding this season unbalanced because three episodes in the Swans have not done anything to Truman to warrant what he did to them with that article.
  25. The two of them keep on Forrest Gumping themselves through the challenges. It's hilarious to watch.
