  1. Yaaaaay I love Kardea!!!! I was sad we didn't have Lorraine but this makes it all better.
  2. Omgomgomg is it going to come back to us? My sister has been asking me about this for a year!!!! Squeeeeee
  3. Aren't Anna Scherbakova and Kamila supposed to have poor technique too (I'm only repeating what people say I'm actually a big fan of both girls), yet they can still throw out pretty impressive looking quads. Do you think it's because they've been drilled from a really young age to do the quads so muscle memory kicks in? Kamila's even learnt a 3A and she has grown heaps!
  4. Bradie was awesome. Totally deserved that win. She's a clever cookie. She may not have the technical firepower of the Russians and Rika (my darling) but she does everything she can to maximize points. I enjoyed both her programs although I have to say the two last season were the best for me. Loved them so much! Alysa is charming and has so much star power. She really has "It" imo. She will make a mint if she medals at the Olympics. So very marketable! Her SP was adorable and she really sold it. Nathan was Nathan. I always enjoy his skating. Feel a bit guilty that I expect him to make zero mistakes so this was an interesting reminder that the boy is human. Loved loved loved Vincent's SP. I must be the lone weirdo who really likes his skating. Even last season. I find his programs highly rewatchable when they're not freaking blocked.
  5. Which book should I read next? I read book two and LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!! I don't need to read them in order so hoping for a recommendation. Something as fun as book 2. I loved Kate, Edwina and Mary!
  6. Thanks guys!!! So I assume Emma's father had looooots of cash? Because she had so much freedom and money was never a worry for her in the future.
  7. I thought Polly Walker and Melinda Clarke were the same person!!! I was baffled as to why she could nail the accent so easily. Totally not the same person 😅
  8. Great thread!!! My question is in relation to inheritance. It confuses the heck out of me!!! So if girls are not able to inherit from their father, why do some books talk of "heiresses"? Do they ALWAYS lose all their money if they don't have a boy to inherit the title, money etc?
  9. I call dibs on that necklace!!!
  10. George was uncharacteristically mean in this episode. I could list several episodes where Mary is a pill and he just takes it in his stride so it's really bizzare today to see him so inconsiderate and almost hostile when she's been nothing but reasonable and pleasant. It's almost like they were trying for a certain storyline and the execution fell flat. Georgie's storyline was well done. I liked that he was ready to take responsibility (hehe and raise the babies in his room) but acknowledged that he was relieved and didn't want to marry Jana. Missy transforming into Ninja Turtle Princess was epic! I think the storyline of getting the others involved in Sheldon's interests (albeit reluctantly) is awesome. It still lets Sheldon be Sheldon but the others add so much fun.
  11. Oh my favorite show I have missed you!!! My favorite part was the Missy and Sheldon chat before bed. Sure it ended with her praying for him to go to monkey hell but I'm loving them sharing their thoughts with each other even if they don't have much in common. Always enjoy George parenting episodes and it was nice to see him and Mary be comedic with no conflict.
  12. My sister and I both think that the quality of the contestants on this show is higher than British Bake Off this year. I like Lashonda, Kess and Jamaal best. I haven't been having a great run losing both of my favorites so really hoping Lashonda goes all the way to the end. They're a good group of contestants though! I also appreciate Jesse so much after watching a bunch of baking competition shows. He's cheerful, connects well with the contestants and gets the job done without being obnoxious and attention seeking!!! Seems like it is quite difficult to find someone like that!!! There are so many hosts this year who either make me cringe badly or I want to slap them!!!
  13. I really enjoyed that!!! I think with these thrillers every scenario has been done before so the audience ends up making room for every single character being guilty. I enjoyed that they went with the most logical choice, laid down all the groundwork to establish Jonathan's personality, what that personality was capable of and built on that. It would have been bizzare to pull a last minute twist for the sake of plot. I also enjoyed Grace's journey and growth. Her slowly coming to the realization of who and what she had married. As soon as Jonathan had the audacity to accuse Henry you could tell it was end of the road for Grace. Overall I am extremely appreciative of the fact that how everything played out was written to be very much personality based and not plot based.
  14. Hey Nicole jogs a lot!!!! There is often pictures of her jogging when she's in Australia! And don't forget Grace was a walker who walked everywhere in heavy coats. Totes makes sense she can outrun the cops 😆
  15. Anyone have goss on what happened after the divorce? Did their relationship calm down? Were they just civil? I assume they would still need to discuss the children etc
  16. I had a giggle at Liza's use of the axel. It was like: I can jump this jump with my eyes shut, I'm going to cram as many versions of it in for as many points as I can. Good for her!!!! It's what Eteri does so it's nice to see someone else being strategic! *** Poor Trusova. She can actually jump and doesn't seem to have a growth spurt or lost jumps or anything like that. It's just so weird she has these meltdowns.
  17. I adore the new angle they've taken this season with Sheldon and Missy's relationship. Absolutely loved her taking off his training wheels and holding onto his bike. They've really let her develop her own strengths and she is someone Sheldon leans on. She grounds him and helps him navigate life. I especially loved the pep talk she gave him about Stephen Hawking. It really highlighted her ability to assess situations and her general wisdom about life and how the world works. Instead of being Sheldon's "not genius" twin she's got her own indisputable niche and I love it! I thought the contrast between Mary and Missy was really interesting in this episode, made even more noticeable in that scene where Mary is the creepy training wheels. Mary coddles Sheldon and enjoys the codependency. Missy takes care of him too but she takes the approach of "teach him to fish".
  18. Denis and Margaret were cute. Loved how horrified she was that they were given separate rooms and how she thought it was a terrible idea for him to sleep in a different room for even one night. I really liked their very sweet, extremely comfortable, almost mundane relationship in contrast to the Charles and Diana evolving hot mess. I don't think it's deliberate but it stood out to me.
  19. Darn it I want to know!!!! Plzzzz tell me!!!!!
  20. I saw some solid anger in Grace's eyes during that final scene where Jonathan said he loved Elena. Please let that anger drive her to do something sensible!!! I really want to know (and hope) whether Grace will do something sensible to pull her life together rather than continuing to be the vague hot mess that she is. I may be in the minority but I think Nicole is doing a great job. I thought she was especially effective in her chess scene with Donald Sutherland as he told her the cold truth about her parents marriage. She was so forlorn but desperate to keep the illusion going. She's so convincingly foolish I actually have to remind myself the actual Nicole is very sane and successful! Not a hot mess! *** Noma Dumezweni (Haley, muck lawyer) is soooo compelling to watch. She's extremely engaging. She even caught my husband's eye and he was like "What an interesting lady. She really makes you pay attention."
  21. This show continues to be such a bright spot for me. Loved the Mary and Georgie storyline this week, especially them sitting there having lunch together. Georgie has really grown up and it's sweet to see him bonding with his mum like a friend. George was all kinds of adorable in the truck with Missy. I loved all the faces he pulled. They did that storyline really well. The only thing that killed me was Missy's white pants. They didn't play any role in the story but they were kind of there, being very threatening in the background. That ending with Patrick Swayze's face merging into Georgie's 🤣😆😂
  22. Sooooo juicy!!! But so annoying that I have to wait three more weeks for this to resolve!!! I don't get "frozen face" from Nicole. Grace is off. Nicole portrays that really well. She just reacts in a really weird way to things. I found her overly hostile towards the husband and then oddly detached when her father told her about the money he gave Jonathan. Grace is very unstable, full of bad decisions and seems to be completely unaware of her surroundings sometimes. Nicole has nailed that perfectly. I found Grace really unlikeable in this episode but I don't think she did it. I've posted my speculation in the spec thread! Loved the Muck Lawyer! She was awesome and her clarity was a refreshing contrast to the hot mess that is Grace.
  23. Note: Have watched ep 3 I wonder if the friend and Jonathan are in this together and have cooked up some plan to frame Grace. Grace seems to be completely batty and totally out of it but I don't think she did it. Jonathan and the friend seem a lot shadier and smarter than they are letting on. I'm now speculating they had an affair after Elena (she did represent him after all) and have cooked this up to get rid of Elena and Grace. What I can't explain is how the father is involved in all this.
  24. So thrilled it's back!!! I teared up when Sheldon directed his speech to Missy and then squeed and burst into tears at Leonard Cooper and squeed again at the Amy narration. I know Leonard Cooper is for Leonard Nimoy but I adored the Leonard/Sheldon friendship so I can just see Leonard acting smug about it, Sheldon telling him the baby is named after Nimoy not him, Leonard being all "Deny it all you want but you just need an excuse to name your kid after me" and Sheldon getting worked up about it (Leonard spoilt Sheldon but he had his moments and they were glorious). I love this show and TBBT. They gave me EVERYTHING!!!
  25. Hehe I love this!!!!! Perfect description of Grace that made me giggle.
