  1. Not such a bad thing if he did. When I was a court SW our supervisor expected us to dress accordingly. My husband put some outfits together for me. Much to my chagrin I got many compliments when he "dressed" me. The funny thing is that I'm better at selecting what suits him. He would put on a T-shirt and shorts/jeans for anything (while picking great professional outfits for me). Then I returned the favor and he has a wardrobe for every occasion. It's weird as hell, but it works for us.
  2. I bet Josh was looking forward to his drippy sundae.
  3. So no drippy sundae picture with his wardens parents, and no post about how Godly Josh is and bullshit about his servant's heart?
  4. You are right he doesn't, our nine year old has been "cooking" next to us since she came home at sixteen months. She now makes a mean cream cheese garlic sauce all by herself (with proper supervision). We are also spending quite a bit in after school STEM classes, and our house has an obscene amount of Legos, not the girly type, but the ones "for boys", hate that expression. And she took archery for two years, and karate since she was in kinder. Why? Because we want her to be well rounded, kick ass, and not depend on a man for upkeep and protection. The downside? Don't get her started on people who have "litters" of kids, and has some serious political opinions. In short she is darn opinionated. She has even informed us that she does not know if she wants to have children, and we applaud her for not going alone Ng with her friends who already think about motherhood. She is not waiting for Prince Charming. Guess we had that coming.
  5. I don't watch so I'm happy to know at least one of them can get by and is willing to learn. When I met my husband he could only grill and make salads. He is the product of two great cooks/foodies. He was willing to learn and now out cooks me. Good for Jinger.
  6. The problem is Jill lacks common sense.
  7. Jinger can cook? By cook I refer from scratch not placing a frozen lasagna and rolls in the oven.
  8. Or give her some damn privacy and not insist on filming the birth. I know silly me.
  9. @Sew Sumi were you the person who mentioned the 10 seater's accident record? Why would anyone invest on that particular airplane? Wait because Jesus protects Boob and his loin fruit even on a proven unsafe vessel. I'm really curious as to other than Jesus what they considered.
  10. Funny you made that point about the film crew. I just read part of an interview with Emma Watson (Harry Poter movies) and why she does not take pics/selfies with fans. She said when those pics are posted it is basically advertising her location within ten meters. Ms. Watson is trying to find a balance between her private and public life. That's the thing, the 19 have no concept of private life. Even devilvering on a toilet is their "ministry." Give me a break.
  11. God gave Jill a brain but from the moment she exited that wretched womb Boob and Mullet did everything they could to impede its development. Thus Jilly Silly can only "function" within a certain range of the compound. Think of Jill as a RC toy, Boob and Mullet still have the remote and Jill is too far away to respond to its signals. OK I might have just lost my last marble.
  12. The isolation is key for the other pieces to fall in place. I will forever be grateful for my Pentecostal cousins, who showed me music is OK in church. Even if we were not close, my Baptist paternal grandparents would occasionally take me to their church. My grandpa was a non practicing Catholic who told me to concentrate on being an honest, loving, happy, hard working human being. My bio mother graduated from an Episcopalian university and eventually was baptized in that faith. She bought my clothes so I wore dresses to church and pants for everyday life (save some school skirts). And of course attending a Catholic school. I still have some REALLY serious hang ups over my 16 years as a SDA, but all those other pieces of my life allowed me to move on and it eased some of the guilt. I can't imagine what a mess I'd be if the only people I ever associated were devout SDAs. I do feel for the 19 and hope this short documentary turns into a one hour documentary. Hopefully the main stream media will pick it up because of the Duggar/Bates connection. The more exposure the better. A girl can dream. Of course he always found vulnerable people. Abusers are excellent at picking a vulnerable target, and then on to the manipulation of grooming. Even better, parents were willingly sending him victims by the bus load.
  13. I enjoyed watching Spud do his little dance after kissing Henry. That is a normal thing for a child to do. Babies love music, both of mine were and still are music buffs. I wonder how long they will allow Spud that normal part of childhood. Maybe after a few more kids Benessa will learn to appreciate dancing. Let a kid loose for an hour of uninhibited dancing, and you get a kid ready for bed even before their bedtime.
  14. Sorry @Sew Sumi I suck at linking :( Thanks for posting correct link.
  15. Let's get Leah Remini and Mike Rinder on this. JK
  16. Did anyone watch The Cult Next Door? ETA: I was informed it is best to go best to go to The Cult Next Door Facebook page.
  17. Jim Boob engaging in human trafficking for the viewership pleasure.
  18. @awaken not only how did she have the time to post as an author, but didn't she have a toddler? My daughter is nine and NOW is when I have time to post. When she was preschool age I was happy to bathe daily, make meals, run errands, and mommy and me activities done. For a SAHM I did not spend much time home. BTW most difficult thing I've ever done. Another level of empathy for the 19. Giving a child proper attention takes freaking time! Sorry end of rant.
  19. Isn't Austin baptized in kool aid via his upbringing?
  20. @Absolom I should have made myself clear. I said well written because GEML did not write like the usual fundie. I did look forward to her posts for entertainment purposes. I agree with you that all Joshlie Madison brought to FRC was name recognition. It was annoying that someone so undereducated was rewarded with a well paying job in D.C. A job that was basically spewing hate. The Derick defense posts amused me because dear lord why go through all that trouble to "prove" precious Derick was not taking more time off than his fair share. A few times I thought it desperate to prove she had an in to corporate America and everyone else was wrong. Hope I explained myself clearly, or just a tad better. :) BTW, where are the emojis located? The grandma was outed?! Hopefully not much money was donated.
  21. What did Josh get caught doing in the bathroom as a teen?
  22. If JD was/is close to Zach Bates I wish he would follow his friend's lead and find a non Gothard stunted bride. I do not watch the show, but some people commented JD seemed to have a sense of humor based on Jinger's wedding. Heck, Jeremy can introduce JD to almost normal women.
  23. Feeling like a cold B again because is interesting reading the look back on WW. I had been lurking for so long and the downward spiral of "her life" was like nothing I've ever heard before. The old KISS adage comes to mind. And I'll admit I'm curious about GEML. Her posts were very well written. I looked forward to her many posts asserting how Derick was not taking off more than his share of time at Walmart. Or when she would explain in detail why Josh was so valuable to FRC because of his unique status within "that subculture." Kind of embarrassing how much time I've spent lurking here.
