  1. I think this is why I don't feel as strongly about Nippy as I do Mark. Nippy seems willing to admit that he was an asshole. There seems to be some, even if minor, part of him willing to accept responsibility for at least a part of it. Mark is still clinging to the "good guy taken advantage of" schlock.
  2. That's the best "joke" that the world's greatest philosopher and smartest man could come up with?
  3. Emma and Tom are just boring. They're not funny OR witty. They're showing the back of Tom's house but I think the interior is somewhere else. Re: Halloween candy My husband was recently made manager of a Dollar General (one of his 3 jobs). The best part is when everything goes on sale at 70% off. He gives me a call and shopping I go. I came home with bags of Reece Cups and M&Ms last year. They were a penny.
  4. India DOES sound scripted and rehearsed but the information is so crazy (and interesting) that I can overlook that. I still have mixed feelings about HER, but I'm enjoying (if that's the right word) the series.
  5. Keith: There's no such thing as a victim! Also Keith (requesting a new trial): I'm a victim of unethical prosecution! 🙄 Www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1244604
  6. The Netflix doc wasn't new information but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I wish they'd shown the video footage of Chris sitting alone in the interrogation room, looking at the death pictures and picking his nose for 45 minutes... Right after sentencing the DA did a document dump and released ALL the recorded interviews, body can videos, documents, etc. More than 1,000 pages and videos. It was... something.
  7. Happy Halloween! We're diying this year and made our costumes again. This is my puppy, Lucky.
  8. If you were going to choose one then I'd go with Starz. I added it to Hulu for $1.99 a month for 3 months.
  9. I'm working on a book about that case right now. It's taken over my life for the past 2 years. The Starz series is far superior to the HBO series.
  10. If you want to watch ahead of time Starz drops the episodes the night before. I watched it last night because I'm obsessed and have no patience.
  11. This season the parts of Libby and Andrei will be played by Deavan and Jihoon. Deavan can't even decide if she wants to be with him but now she wants a wedding? A wedding that "everyone can go to"...in another country?
  12. Kenny and Armando's challenges seem fairly normal. A blended family from two different cultures. It will take time, but I think it will work.
  13. They are totally Flowers in the Corn or Corn in the Attic
  14. Lol. That's my community service for the weekend. 🙂 After watching this episode I needed a quick distraction.
  15. Different countries have different limits for residential visas, but at MINIMUM you're looking at needing liquid assets of at least $250,000. As an artist I can relocate to several different countries but I'd need to prove that I have, on hand, $250,000-$1million (depending on country). Spousal or fiance visas are, by far, the easiest and least expensive way. Unless you can get a company to hire you and pay for your employment visa, but those are VERY difficult. That company would have to show cause for hiring a foreigner and prove that no native can do the job. There are no fiance visas for SK. US citizens don't need visas for visiting South Korea. I don't think Deavan ever intended to live there full time. I think that was fake. But her options were: no visa for a short-term tourist stay (90days), an F6 visa (Korean spousal visa, though Deavan and Jihoon would have to prove that they're adequately able to communicate), a self-employment visa (no way she'd qualify), a long-term residency visa (she'd have to invest $500,000 and hire 5 locals), or an F27 visa (granted on a point system). I think she was there as a tourist.
  16. I LOVED Average Joe... TBH, I haven't liked a bachelorette since Meredith.
  17. And that's where I am with The Vow people...You listened to him lecturing about rapeable babies but drew the line on the branding? (NOT that the branding wasn't bad, but...)
  18. Yep. He was kinda star gazing. She also claimed to be friends with Jennifer Aniston and Ashley Judd and made up fake email addresses and phone numbers for them. They'd occasionally text or write.
  19. Re: Native John I've dated two full-blooded Native Americans and although one actually went by the name "Spirit Dancer" and did the pow wow festival circuit (pictured because he was also fine as hell and why not) outside of his dancing he just wore...clothes. Like t-shirts and jeans. LAL homeboy is...special.
  20. Talent show, lizard hunt, sleepover with Light as a Feather and underwear freezing, a camp out... Seriously, though, why CAN'T they go out into the desert and do things away from other people?
  21. If this were a dude and the dates had consisted of the women giving a laundry list of all the attributes they loved about him and then playing a round of strip putt putt (him participating in neither, of course) then that shit would've damn near have brought down the network. My biggest problem, however, is the lameness. Somehow they managed to make naked, good looking guys boring. That takes talent, ABC. I know they're meant to stay at the resort but still...I grew up on the campus of an isolated boarding school in the mountains, and we had more fun on the weekends without internet or cable than these folks seem to be having.
  22. Yes! Agree. Most of my issues are with how they were presented within the documentary series. Seeing the "steps" in India's case is helpful in connecting the dots for her, as opposed to this one that wasn't quite as linear and felt all over the place. I think these two series should be taken like the Fyre Festival docs-they make good companion pieces.
