90DF Live Chat 2: This Thread is Only 60% Good

I honestly forgot this couple was even on the show... Throwing things and calling the police? Now THAT would've been interesting to watch. -

I don't think I'm his type. I used to be an artist's model so there are nude paintings, sculptures, and sketches all over the place. -

That might work HERE but Yazan is literally getting death threats there. This is not the same playing field. It's not just "random street gossip" in Jordan. In fact, it's not even gossip. Her Insta is real. -

Father Yazan is a dapper silver fox. -
Yes to all of this! Mark did a pretty good job of NOT including or offering up the video footage that made him look like an active participant or leader of the scuzzier stuff. Even just looking at the little shots of footage between the two shows: one shows people laughing, dancing, hugging each other, talking about how they're making the world a better place; the other shows snippets of women appearing shockingly thin and Keith talking hypothetically about raping babies and steaks. This whole "we didn't know it was bad until DOS" is bullshit. When the NXIVM 9 left they calmly listed the reasons why...and Mark helped initiate the attacks on them. Nippy and Mark ran DOS and we're there for all the bullshit against the women. Mark recorded the misogynistic JNESS lessons himself. He knew that his wife was sleeping on the floor like a dog (less than my dogs, they sleep in my bed) because she'd talked back to him. The red flags were waving for a long time. Them acting like the branding was a wake-up call is bullshit.

Social Media: What's Up With Her?

Lol. Sorry! 😁 -
So... episode 3 was a little nuts... When my step sister and I were kids in the 80s, whenever she'd get mad at someone she'd seeth "Well, up his butt with a rubber duck!" (She had no awareness of the sexual connotation.) I thought about her curse during the whole episode. IMO rape is never acceptable justice, not even to a sicko in prison, so I'll just say that I hope that for the rest of his life his meat will always be undercooked, his toilet paper so rough that his hemorrhoids cry for the softness of poison ivy leaves, and the best prison job he'll ever get is scrubbing all the toilets in his cellblock on every "Mexican Fiesta" Friday and "Taco Tuesday". 🌮

It seems like a really weird thing to me, too. Back in my day the rich people didn't pay scammers to get their kids into college, they set up fake nonprofits for their kids to run or made up bullshit job titles to bestow upon them within their own businesses/organizations.

Between them interrupting her and asking her to let it go during #makeupgate and them asking him not to get in the car I think a big part of them was legitimately concerned. I wonder if the drug rumors are true and if they were afraid of culpability should Dylan get hurt. In the reality TV days of yore they wouldn't have given a shit. Things have changed in the past few years, though. If he still got into the car then at least for legal reasons they got themselves on camera asking him NOT to. I can't believe that in 48 hours she drove like a demon and almost killed him, threw a shit fit at 80yo Aunt Diane and accused her of trying to steal Dylan, almost killed him by driving down a one way street at a breakneck speed, and publicly fought with him after she made him late to the DMV. I'd rather return to prison.

She's not defined by how fat she is, and yet the title of her show literally defines her by her weight. -
Okay, Heather, when the producers of a trashy reality show think you're acting crazy it might be time for some self reflection.

I attended Harvard for a year. Unfortunately, despite having a good financial aid package for being poor, I wasn't able to return the next year. We just couldn't afford it. I got a 32 on my ACTs and had a high GPA, and I found my General Ed classes there to be tough. I wound up getting my undergraduate degree from Belmont University (at the time it was the #1 liberal arts school in the south and had a 24% acceptance rate) and my MA at the University of Wales in the UK. I did not find that Harvard was the easier of the three. Getting in was difficult, but it's not like it was all downhill from there. Our curriculum was challenging and all of my professors were demanding. They were a lot stricter on attendance and deadlines than my other schools. There really is no one size fits all there, though. There are many departments, degree programs, and professors of varying importance there. Level of difficulty is dependent upon a lot of factors.
-
Lol. True. But Olivia Jade didn't seem smart enough to go along with that. Someone who gets on YT and announces to the world that she's just there to party and may or may not attend classes is the same kind of person who would giddily declare that her family is paying off her professors for her grades-unlike those other suckers who do lame things like study and show up.
-
The parents seemed shortsighted. Sure you can pay X amount to get them in, but what about when they inevitably flunk out? Fake ACT scores can only get you through the door.

Social Media: What's Up With Her?

He was probably hoping for a NEVER-ENDING STORY turn of events-that she'd keep sinking into the mud until she was gone. Save him from having to pretend to propose to her AND break up with her. -
Latest episode bored me. I've heard enough about the college admissions scam. I wanted another one that I'm not that familiar with.

Am I the only one who was underwhelmed with the $5 million inheritance? Don't get me wrong, that's a fortune to me and would last me years and years. I live in a place, though, where nice houses can still be bought for less than $120,000 and if you ordered everything off the menu at our town's most expensive restaurant the bill would still be less than my car payment. In a place where tossing down $600 for dinner or paying $2 million for a house only to tear it down are common, Mair woulda blown through that cash like a tornado in a trailer park.
-
It's not so much the logistics of her pulling her kid out of school, people move all the time, it's that she did so without having ever seen the place they were moving to. When we moved we found a house, but we also toured the nearby schools in order to get a grasp on what our kids' educational options were there. Websites and photos only go so far...

I'm agreeing with you. They were already up against the wall due to the restrictions the pandemic set. Without any fantasy dates or International travel SOMETHING had to be done to salvage this season. Lots of people depend on this show for income-and I don't mean the "stars." Hollywood production staff have suffered during the pandemic. They probably wanted to film but were afraid of it being boring. I do NOT like the way Clare is treating the other men. Pre-planned or not, it's not cool. And I'm not sure that if these are show shenanigans the guys are even in on it. (Some, maybe.) But I'm still calling bs on a lot of this.
-
All we really know about that roast is what we saw. As the one guy said, he had 43 jokes and only mentioned Dale once. We didn't get to see everyone's roast. The show is creating a narrative. The guys could spend 18 hours a day talking about ping pong and sushi and the only thing we'd see is the 30 seconds they mention Dale in passing.
-
I'll say it again, they apparently need this hillbilly to plan these dates. My town is isolated and we had no cinema, restaurants, extreme sports, or concerts for dates-but we STILL had fun. Clare's dates feel boring. The show has really started relying on the fantasy dates so much that it's like they don't know what to do when those are not an option. On the other hand, this environment may actually work better for getting to know people. I'm still hung on Bennett.

Going back to an earlier post, here's an article specifically about why DOS (or NXIVM) isn't truly BDSM. https://www.vice.com/amp/en/article/8xe5bb/a-bdsm-educator-tells-us-why-nxivm-sex-cult-allegations-arent-consensual-kink
