  1. I think she was the press secretary for the first 3 weeks or something. And then she filled in while Fitz was in the hospital with a bullet in his head. But you are correct that she shouldn't have that much access, since we saw how much trouble Abby was having getting any information above a certain security level.
  2. R&B Divas Atlanta is not coming back. I adore Karyn White. When Chrisette was yelling at her brother in the studio, I'm thinking, "And you wonder why he's trying to take a minute?" Why were Leela and Chrisette being weirdos about Brave? She didn't do anything that made me give her a side eye.
  3. Oh, Caroline. This is another reason why I can't with her. The dialogue would support her case so much more if it was like, "After I betrayed Rick and he did everything in his power to purposefully hurt me, I had to come to the realization that I didn't want to be with a man who had it in him to do that to me. I'm so glad you wanted to show me how love could heal those hurts" or some crap like that. The way she's talking, it's almost like she's bought into the bullshit of her cheerleaders: I've been made very aware of what it really feels like to be loved and cherished? Really? Because I think we can all agree that pre-reveal, Rick was all about loving and cherishing Caroline. I could almost buy that his present behavior has tarnished any good will she had toward their earlier days if she hadn't been going around saying that she wanted Rick's forgiveness in one breath and talking about her electric connection to Ridge in the next. http://youtu.be/T3lR89ZBpRA
  4. Well, Eric is an idiot, first and foremost. So there's a lot of leeway for the writers to do whatever they want.
  5. Why doesn't Rick ever know when the quarterly numbers are coming out? Is Rick having a fantasy sequence? Eric could not have been serious with that tongue bath.
  6. From what I remember, Chante wasn't nice to them. She wasn't mean to them, but she wasn't nice either. If something else happened, yeah, we need to see it. Otherwise this is annoying.
  7. I definitely rewound Emma calling everyone/everything "Dada" several times. I cracked up.
  8. Finally getting a chance to watch some shows on my DVR from a few weeks ago and I saw a promo for this interview (which happened last week). Josh Morrow and Justin Hartley doing some kind of junket type thing for the affiliates, I assume. http://launch.newsinc.com/share.html?trackingGroup=91663&siteSection=ndn&videoId=28526690
  9. Bonus scene. How does Deacon know any of this stuff? When is the last time you saw SK out of that set? Oh, wait, someone said he went to Brooke's recently, right? But when's the last time before that? Give this man something to do. http://youtu.be/8sJq8ApiXZY Eric's finally coming back. How long has Rick had that picture of him and Maya up in his office?
  10. What were Ridge's pained looks about? Thinking that it should have been him up there instead of Bill? Not that I don't think that he's not happy with Caroline, but it's gotta smart to see that Bill knew what he wanted, proposed, got her a ring and married her within a month. He may have been fine with Katie ending it, but he can't be happy with Bill reaping the benefits. KKL was really bad today.
  11. I didn't watch today's show, either. So they got married already? Let me guess: Carter did the honors?
  12. A scripted spit take, or a spit take where both actors have agreed to do it is one thing. Otherwise it's considered assault, same as slapping someone. That's disgusting. And it's not about the end product (viewers buying it), it's about the fact that you have so little respect for a fellow professional that you think nothing of physically assaulting her, in character, without consent. It's not like MS did it in the spur of the moment. She planned it and neglected to tell her screen partner.
  13. Yeah, I think I may have taken it in a different direction. Sorry. :) My response wasn't even necessarily to what you were saying, but a reaction things I read on the board a bit ago and I never got around to responding then.
  14. I understand that. I also don't think that KM went to the writers and said, "You know what? I have a banging body and you should make my character a model because I can pull it off without a hitch." So why should I dissect every single thing about the actor's appearance as if she's some wildebeest, especially since, even though her character references her occupation daily, we rarely see her doing it? I just think there's a difference between saying someone needs to cut their hair to make it more flattering and maligning a person because you don't think that they can physically embody something that their character is never seen doing anyway. In B&B world, all you need to be a lead model is to be pretty and to have the backing of a doting/tyrannical boyfriend.
  15. I don't think that Karla Mosley has a typical model's body, but I also don't think that Linsey Godfrey can design clothes. It's one of those things that I think is weird to critique because KM is a beautiful woman with a great body and I think it's strange to pick her body apart because the writers put her character in that role. If I can suspend belief for designing, I can do it for modeling.
  16. Lawrence Saint-Victor (the actor that plays Carter) and Karla Mosley (the actress that plays Maya) previously did some creative content work for B&B when they wrote, produced and starred in a branch off web series, Room 8. It starred their B&B characters who were, at the time, aspiring actors, and the result of their work on a web series. The production of the web series was written into the show as a plot, but the actual series was web only content. Room 8 wasn't their only foray into web content; LSV (I don't know about KM) wrote and produced a web series (which also starred him and Karla Mosley) a few years earlier, and apparently Brad Bell was interested in bringing that experimentation to B&B. I say this whole convoluted explanation to point out that while it worked out for LSV to write for B&B, it probably came out of that whole web series thing, and that web series only came about because Brad Bell was open to / interested in it. I'm never one to rule out racism, but I also think that Y&R just probably sucks as far as encouraging people to branch out beyond the role for which they were hired.
  17. Guys, I have ceased to see Rick as a character because these writers have just gone way OTT. Instead, I see JY hamming it up and having a blast and it really makes me laugh. I came to that realization as I was watching that Next on...clip. I'm sitting here thinking, "Jacob Young is probably hilarious in real life." SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE, SHOW!
  18. The actor that plays Austin was recurring on Parenthood for a season (or 2?) so I like him and I think he can be interesting with the right screen partner (Mae Whitman, Camryn Grimes). However, if they insist on keeping him with Summer, he can go.
  19. I think I'm going to skip today's episode for the first time in I don't know how long. I basically don't care any more. What a difference a month makes. http://youtu.be/RoO4vF-S_vI Why are they having this conversation as if they were not in cahoots mere months ago to break Bill and Brooke up so that they could have a second chance with them, respectively? They came back to that very couch to talk game plan, but not Deacon is acting like his relationship with Brooke just "ran its course"? No. You proposed to her and she said no and you were still sniffing around until she left and went to Italy.
  20. But why would you talk about a hostile takeover in Rick's office? He's not even gone for the day; he told Ivy that he was coming right back.
  21. I loved the revelation that the "Baby, please! Please!" from Dwayne at Whitley's wedding was a moment of unscripted passion from Kadeem. That was the best part!!!!!!! I remember getting chills the first time I heard it because he said it with so much desperation.
  22. I completely agree. I live in Nashville and while I could rattle off the names of some country artists, songs? Probably not. Timberlake was here a couple of months ago and Garth Brooks joined him to sing "Friends In Low Places." How did I know the name of the song? Someone told me. Then told me that it was his best known song. News to me. Still couldn't tell you how that song goes.
  23. He was a recovering alcoholic on B&B before he went to Y&R. It's one of the reasons he was able to relate to Macy, who was also a recovering alcoholic.
