  1. Congratulations Elizabeth! I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I have always felt that the mindset of "once an addict ALWAYS an addict" is a defeatist attitude. If you have not done drugs in 12 years? You are sober! Just because someone was weak at one time (due to many factors), does not mean they will all relapse. I come from a family of addicts (mostly alcohol), and many used the excuse that since they would never fully recover, relapse was inevitable. It was expected. To which I say bullshit. Many recover and never touch drugs or alcohol again.
  2. In the previews, the new blonde girl bragging about being hit on so much? Honey, being hit on by hormone-crazed boys only means you have a vagina. Get a grip.
  3. There is no doubt in my mind that if Farrah could find some idiot to bang her for free? She would have more than two baby daddys.
  4. It seemed to me that mega tits was using her wrist or arm to smash the cans. If she wants to impress me, she needs to do the smashing with her hands in the air (like she just don't care)!
  5. Dave Foley is currently ruining two shows I watch. This one and The Odd Couple. He and Jane Leeves have about as much chemistry as Bruce and Kris Jenner.
  6. His head was HUGE in relation to the rest of his body. The pictures actually looked like someone pasted a huge head on a little body. As far as his eyes, I used to work with someone who wore those freaky contact lenses. It made it hard to tell if they were really looking you in the eye. Creepy!!!
  7. The costs of living in NYC is killing me!! I live in the upper South in a suburb 15 minutes from an urban area. I have a nice brick ranch, 3 bedrooms, 2-car garage, on an acre of land that is quiet, with a beautiful yard with flowers, pear trees and an awesome Weeping Willow and I have a vegetable garden every summer. It's bucolic. My house payment is less than $500 a month. I have a huge family get together every 4th of July and there is plenty of free parking for all. I have lived in big cities in CA and TX and I am fairly close to both St. Louis and Nashville. I love the pulse of a big city, but there is no way in hell I would pay over $3,000/month for a tiny apt., no matter how much money I make. And I make pretty good money where I am, and it's not eaten up with rent.
  8. I never watch this show because I cannot stand this family, but it was on in the background, and I got pulled in with the Rob situation. Rob? I have always loved. Anyway, could Kim look more plastic and fake?? Oh Em Gee. And unfortunately, Kylie - at her young age - is bowing at the plastic surgery idol. Now I know why I usually never ever watch this show. It pisses me the hell off!!
  9. I loathe the Turdashians (and double loathe Kanye), so I am on board with anything or anyone that bursts their bubble of perfection. TEAM ROB all the way. I hope he gets the help he needs and continues to separate himself from that family of fame whores.
  10. Per the discussion regarding weight. I am the world's worst at guessing things like distance and weight. Asa got major side-eye from MJ when she said she weighed 170. Who thinks she is telling the truth and if not, what weight would you guess? Also, MJ is no feather weight herself. Of course I have no idea what her weight is in relation to Asa. I was so hoping Asa would ask, "Well, MJ, what is your weight hmmm?"
  11. Did anyone else catch what MJ said about getting hit too hard at dodge ball? "I'm gonna get hit in my vagina, and I'll never be able to reproduce AGAIN". Again? Is there a previous pregnancy I'm not aware of??
  12. I have known quite a few Asians (I think Asian men are quite handsome), and most of them took issue with the term FOB. It seemed to me it would be the same as someone calling me and others from my corner of the world Hillbillies or Rednecks (although we seem to be all the rage these days - that is something entirely new and surprising).
  13. How Mattie, Daddy and really most of these people can show their face after the sloppy way they act on this show is a mystery to me. On the after show, when Mattie sees clips of her crazy Martha self, there doesn't seem to be any shame or embarrassment whatsoever. She will indicate she doesn't remember any of it and just shrugs and laughs. Daddy too. My family would be dragging me to rehab or staging an intervention on me or something. Family pride used to mean something in the South. I'm probably over thinking it, but I hope these kids are the exception and not the rule. Sometimes this show is a hoot and sometimes it's just alarming.
  14. I loved the part where Barry and Erica tried to pass off "Your Song" as an original song, thinking their dad would not recognize it. When Murray called them on it, knowing it was an old Elton John hit, they were shocked he knew the song. When they asked him how he knew it, since he never listened to music, he says he knows it because he lives on earth! Also, it's been a while since he dropped trou at the door. I thought maybe they had done away with it, so I was happy to see it again. I know. I'm very easily amused.
  15. Last season was my first season of RHWNY, so I was spared the B years (I also never watched her tawk show). It seemed to me she was firing questions like a Tawk Sho Host whenever she tried to interact with others. Also? Dorinda is the Hott Dogg that replaced Lil Bit from Party Down South. Sorry, That's all I got folks. I need food. More later.
  16. There seems to be two sides - Pro Ryan or Pro Maci. I'm pro Bentley and he obviously prefers to spend time with his mom and grand parents over Ryan. That is all I need to know.
  17. Having watched the 1st two episodes again, I guess the city I live in is unnecessarily strict when it comes to background checks. Unless you have a perfect past and perfect credit and tell the absolute truth on everything, you are screwed. Fast food seems to be the only local places that do not run extensive background checks. When I worked in HR, every employee had those checks ran on them, and one mistake could disqualify a potential employee from being hired. And lying on anything - including the dates worked on your resume? Bye!! I often heard applicants lament that yes, they made a mistake in their 20's, paid for it and now years later they can't get a job. While I sympathized, I didn't make the rules. So I give the side eye to how easily she faked everything and got away with it, but I get suspension of disbelief. I am a HUGE Game of Thrones fan after all!
  18. Regarding Davina, I think a lot of people confuse ethnicity with culture. I dated a man for a while that was ethnically Chinese, but was culturally Vietnamese because Vietnam was where he grew up before moving to the states. I have also noticed that a lot of people confuse nationality with ethnicity. An Indian person ethnically who lives in America is an American, or Indian American (not to be confused with Native American of course). I realize most of you are aware of that, but I am blown away by how many people are clueless about such things. Also India is on the Asian continent, but I don't know many Indians who consider themselves Asian, and I know quite a few. YMMV
  19. I have never watched a single episode of Dr. Who, so I was lost. I looked it up on IMDb to get the jist of the show, so I learned something new. Also, I think Sheldon quoting Play That Funky Music might have been a shout out to the new animated movie he voices (sorry can't remember the name). The creature he is voicing says something like, "My hands are in the air like I just do not care!!" I thought it was cute.
  20. I thought only Kimmy Gibbler, DJ and Stephanie Tanner pinky sweared! Learn something new every day!!
  21. In regards to Ryan's parents, I see a lot of my oldest nephew and his wife in them. The nephew in question is my much older sister's son, and he knocked up a 15 year old when he was a senior in high school. That child, a son, not surprisingly did the same thing. My nephew and his wife have overcome the odds and are still together and probably always will be. The grand daughter they now have is like the little girl they never had and they totally dote on her and do not expect my nephew (who, like Ryan, never married his daughter's mother) to take on a lot of responsibility for her. My nephew lives with his parents (he is also an only child) just like Ryan, and his parents take on 99% of her care and expenses for their grand child. There are pictures of the little girl's 3rd birthday party all over their Facebook and they 100% paid for everything. They truly consider that little girl as theirs. I think Ryan's parents see Bentley the same way. Grand parents raising grand children is way too common these days and I think it's not fair.
  22. I remember Cameran from San Digeo. Having lived in SD for three years in the 90's, of course I watched it. I in no way liked her as much on RWSD as Southern Charm. I remember her dalliance with Brad (?) and she was very immature - constantly popping him in the nads and running off. Having two older brothers, that made me cringe. I would have had the crap beat out of me for doing that intentionally. But I think she has matured gracefully if Southern Charm is any indication. I really like her now. She reminds me of the southern women I know. Before? Not so much.
  23. Oh good Lawd! Has any show in the history of TV ever been more fiercely shoved down our throats?? I'm pretty sure they started advertising it in November and it just premiered last night. I was half sick of it before it ever aired. But it was pretty good, but implausible. I worked in HR for years and the I-9 form (in which Americans have to prove their citizenship and/or worthiness to work in the good ol' USA) requires two forms of identification (or only one if you have a passport). Disproving her fake ID would have been easy. If it was that easy I would have done it years ago. Was that out loud??? Ahem.....
  24. I never cried when my daughters went to school. I LOVED school, and looked upon it as a wonderful milestone. I read to them, worked with them - made sure they knew their alphabet, could write their names, knew their addresses and phone numbers, and could read books on their level. I remember their first days of school as a day of celebration. It was like "Yes!!! This is what we have been training for!!" I was a full-time employed mom, and listening to how their day went was the highlight of my long days at work. I treasure those memories. And yes - Butch throwing out that dubious shout out to Farrah?? Priceless!!
  25. No we are not. Manipulation is not ok no matter what your race.
