  1. Totally! Richard Dawson was awesome compared to these people! Brett and Charles would BOO these people! Horatio and Adam? Really? They couldn't get SOMEBODY capable of cognitive thought AND be some sort of celebrity the rest of us would know to be on that panel? Also, they don't seem to know how this game is played. You are supposed to pick an answer you think will match the contestant so they can win money. Adam didn't even come up with an answer TWICE! "Help me please" is not acceptable. I'm also pissed that again the questions are slanted to a body orifice answer. How about Questions that are clever? Questions that will have an answer? Questions that are fun? Again, too much filth than fun.
  2. I'm a fan of the original Match Game. I agree, back in the day they hinted at something risque but lots of questions weren't. This revival show was totally filthy. Way too filthy for me. It wasn't entertaining. Also, I don't like them having so many panelists that are politically outspoken. That aspect takes away from the light-hearted game show feel I'm wanting. I want to relax and be entertained. If every answer is going to be centered around a body orifice, I'm not going to watch. I'm glad Rosie's going to pay for that lady's prize eventhough she didn't match. I agree. That woman was probably told to scream and be overly excited and play it up as much as she can. Watching her do that didn't add to the excitement though. Looked more like she might hyperventilate and require an ambulance. I was excited this show was coming back. But, I'm not happy with the results. Probably a deal breaker for me.
  3. I agree with your comments about that husband. There was no love coming from him at all. All he wanted was to have the 2 fixed breasts back. She can do better than him. Maybe she's the one who loves him and that's why they're married. It's nice to see Porkchop get a new nose and the confidence to go out in public the way he wants to. It's hard to believe that woman had star implants from a guy that wasn't licensed or anything. Just a guy who would do it. ACK! Then Terry started talking about what could happen and those stars or the surgery could poke into her lungs. Serious stuff with horrible consequences. I'm glad she had them taken out! I, too, get tired of Terry's remarks about Paul. I don't know if it's done for the show or what. The first few seasons I figured that was a shtick they had and started it to somehow make the show more funny. I've gotten very tired of it though. These are 2 excellent surgeons. The jibes can stop now.
  4. I thought of that, too. Tony wasn't leaving to go seek revenge. He wasn't leaving because some multiple murderer ended up being released by Vance for a technicality and Tony being so outraged that he turned in his badge. He wasn't forced out. He didn't leave for some disillusionment with circumstances. He wasn't going off alone. He left to raise his daughter and his dad was going with him. I loved that part of this story. It's a better reason than most. On a side note, I've always loved that they got Robert Wagner to play Tony's dad. I wish they'd thought of it sooner and RW had been in more episodes. Loved the whole connection. Robert and Michael liked it, too. In an interview talking about the 2 actors being so much alike and Michael impersonating Robert's voice, Michael said RW turned to him and said he didn't know anymore if Michael was doing him or he was doing Michael. If this had happened 10 years ago, I could have seen a Tony Sr. and Tony Jr. spinoff series. The two of them are just so likeable.
  5. I agree. I expected a much more emotional send off. Thirteen years and all they've been through only got a cordial polite goodbye. I'm more teary-eyed than these people! Ducky and Jimmy - Hugging Jimmy was very believable. He and Tony shared a poignant moment talking about Tali and being a father. I'm glad he and Jimmy had a good hug. Tony probably figured that Ducky would only want a handshake. I wish after the handshake, Ducky would have said, "we can do better than that" and give Tony a hug. Abbey - She's the only one who really showed any emotion and came off as believable. McGee - What the EFF, McGee! Work with Tony since forever. Tony is suddenly leaving. McGee stands there like an English Palace Guard. I expected McGee to grab Tony and give him a big hug. Tell him it wasn't going to be the same without him. Ramble on about how much Tony means to him. The flat goodbye we got isn't believable. McGee should have showed some emotion. Bishop - I don't care about Bishop (can't warm up to her) but she's standing there with her permanent angry furrowed forehead. Can't she muster up something nice to say? Gibbs - I expected SO MUCH from him. This is the moment where wise daddy Gibbs is supposed to impart Tony with something profound. All he comes up with is that Tony has been trying to decide what to do for a couple of years. That's it? After all these years thinking that Gibbs is wise but he doesn't say much, I've come to the conclusion that Gibbs doesn't say much because he's got NOTHING to say. He's not some fountain of wisdom. Gibbs is blank. Ziva is dead. One of their own was a double agent and killed her. Fornell barely survived, almost leaving his daughter alone and she's practically Gibb's daughter now. Tony's just found out he's a dad and Tony is leaving. Yet, Gibbs comes up with NOTHING! From the show's standpoint, I understand why the last minute of the episode is Gibbs telling the new team to gear up. The show wants the viewers seeing the "new team" and transition quickly into the show going on without MW. BUT. We viewers didn't get enough mourning time. What I wanted to see was everyone around a dinner table with food/wine/beer, reminiscing, sharing stories, and being the "family" they'd become over the years. I would have been happy with that.
  6. That sounds like me, too! I watched from the first episode. Every season I was there. My watching dwindled 3 years ago. I suddenly found I didn't care much anymore. I've loved this show for all the great talent, the funny break out moments like William Hung and Pants-On-The-Ground Guy, the people who aren't going to be great but you like that they're given a chance to show what they've got. Three years ago the talent just wasn't there, IMO. I didn't find anyone I wanted to cheer for anymore. I loved seeing ALL of the alumni return to the show. The trip down memory lane could have lasted another 2 hours. I'm like everyone else. I'd read the names next to the contestant. By the time I'd shout out "OMG it's BO BICE" the camera had moved on and I missed 2 people. OMG it's TAYLOR HICKS! OMG it's GEORGE HUFF! Kimberly Locke! I'm going to watch it again. I just didn't have enough time to acknowledge everyone in my own way. Loved it. I definitely could have done without JLo's vegas act that went on too long. Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood had me cheering. Oh, yeah! GET THIS PARTY STARTED! Harry was so caring and gracious to that little girl and I'm glad for the mention of Idol Gives Back! Kelly Clarkson was awesome with her medley! She'll always be my favorite since she's the first and paved the way for the show. I didn't mind that Trent won. I figured that both Trent and LaPorsha were going to get a recording contract. We'll see what they do with their careers now. I enjoyed seeing Randy... Paula and Simon not so much. I doubt anyone believed that Simon really couldn't make it. It was nice hearing some positive words come out of Simon's mouth though. He said this show gave him his 2 best friends, Paula and Randy. Nice moment. I also thought that Ryan came across as subdued and stiff because he was trying so hard to not get emotional. This show gave him his big break, the successful life he has now. He sort of grew up with the show. Now he has to move out of the house. I don't know if this show will be updated and come back in a few years. Don't know if I want it to. I wish they had done a show makeover starting 8 years ago, but that didn't happen.
  7. I remember David Archuleta, but didn't see him tonight. He was runner up to David Cook, iirc.
  8. I say the one quoted above. It's one of my favorites and used several times a week. And "lousy susan".
  9. I totally agree! I'm surprised Jamie hasn't been back. He did excellent work during his season. Then that one guest judge kept harping on Jamie not having any tattoos. Like all of Jamie's accomplishments were nothing because he wasn't covered in ink. Poof Jamie was eliminated. That was BS. They have that "epic fail" St Marq back but not Jamie? BS. And just because it feels so good to say again... St Marq the bitch is GONE!
  10. Are Janelle and Robyn still spiritually married to their former husbands? Would they be "called" by them or Kody? If that is possible, the wives should all leave Kody and find more husbands to increase their chances of being called in the afterlife by one of them. Also, it wouldn't hurt being the exciting, new, loving wife! I could argue with them that it's better to have 1 husband afterall so he can't call anyone but her. Being the LEGAL wife is also a plus since he is bound legally. There are so many holes in the Browns beliefs that are nonsense, you'd think any reasonable person wouldn't fall for those lies.
  11. I read here that Meri told Sam/JO/Lindsey she wanted to "have his baby". Seems particularly strange since she has complained all these years that she can't have any more children, but she goes and tells Sam that she wants to have his baby! You mean you've been lying to us, Meri? Lying to Kody? Or, just lying to Sam? I hope Kody heard about this part of the story. That's not "innocent flirting".
  12. I remember when Christine was in the hospital giving birth to Truely, Kody was out on a date with Robyn at the time. Later Kody and Robyn stopped by the hospital. The guy was a rude ass back then. Christine is feeling her worst and in walks Robyn with her hair and makeup done, wearing her nice outfit she picked out to impress Kody, and Kody beaming with pride that he's got Robyn on his arm in front of Christine. I would have kicked "little Kody".
  13. Is this what producers tell their porn actresses? "There are no cameras and you need to share a man with at least 2 other women in this film to get to heaven." It just sounded so funny when I was reading it. Then there's Meri and her banana. Run, Truely.
  14. Well said. I'd quote all of you, but can't for space and time! I too think Meri's full of shit and wants us to believe what she's telling now rather than the truth that transpired. She's trying to save face, but it isn't working. At the top of the show she reminded us that she is still married to Kody. Later, she began telling us the story about Sam. So Meri... you were cheating on your husband Kody by having a loving relationship with Sam. Emailing Sam, talking to Sam, sending explicit photos to Sam, meeting Sam at Disneyland, but it ended up not being a real Sam. Meri... what makes that not cheating on your current hubby Kody? Do you tell yourself it wasn't cheating b/c a guy didn't show up and it was a woman? Ridiculous BS. Kody sat there with a quizzical dog expression rather than someone concerned about his WIFE cheating on him and making plans to leave. His was not a normal reaction. AND, he said something like he was giving Meri her space. BS. His reaction was more of someone who does not care anymore for that person. He was probably hoping Meri would find someone and move on. At this point, Kody thinks about what drama they can come up with to keep the TLC gravy train going. If Meri up and leaves, or gets catfished, or has another online affair, he's in for the viewership it will draw. His emotional attachment to Meri ended awhile back and he's not feeling any remorse or concern about it. I keep thinking about when Meri was sitting at that dinner table and she said that one day she might be gone and not come back. What about her daughter? Mariah's at college but isn't really that far away. If I were her and heard this story play out, I would be in tears. Mariah is all about her mom and doesn't want to be that far away from her. But, Meri was planning to go away with Sam who she hadn't known for long. No thoughts about Mariah. Meri would be gone somewhere and what is Mariah supposed to do? Mariah shouldn't count on her mom much now. That can be a really tough revelation for someone. Also about Mariah, it was really interesting that she is now not gung-ho about plural marriage. Could be this recent incident with her mom's fiasco, the legal divorce and Robyn, OR her having been around other young adults in the real world who are having good one on one relationships. Like all of us, she deserves to have someone love her rather than her being just another number in line. That had me laughing so hard! That was really weird how they were trying to spin the whole catfishing incident into some sort of "we've got to go to war" thing. Really? And do what? First tie Meri's hands and take her social media away. Meri is responsible for her part in it. She's no innocent in all of this. Totally hypocritical! Kody implied that making his and Robyn's marriage "legal" was small-minded thinking. They have much higher ideals with spiritual marriage. ::insert eye-roll here:: Yet, Kody has a stick up his butt about the non-biological kids being LEE-GALL-EEE his with a piece of paper, signed, filed, framed, hung on the wall, etc. Kody, you should legally change your name to "Hypocrite Brown".
  15. I didn't care for Emmett. I figure they were trying to find another "Floyd" kind of guy and there was always a fix-it guy in every small town. I guess I didn't care for the actor they chose. He was dull and brought nothing to the character, IMO. I wish they'd chosen a different actor that would have brought some depth to the role. Something endearing. SOMETHING. Howard was more interesting. The book keeper type who wears the bow tie. I think he worked in the records office. The actor who played Howard made him someone you recognize and kind of like. We probably all know a Howard. I'll watch a Howard episode, where as I don't care to watch an Emmett episode anymore. Warren. To me, Warren has such an irritating, annoying personality that I can't watch any episode with him in it. I'm sure the writers didn't write him to be that way, but that's how he comes off to me. When I think of this show, I don't include Warren episodes. I only remember them when I read Warren's name on forums. It wasn't the same show with him.
  16. I totally agree about Aaron coming out of the gate and winning the a-hole contest so far. I LOVED how Tom threw his jam back in his face verbally with "tricks aren't going to win this competition." Aaron had 2 hours to make that sauce/jam, reduce it, and show cooking skill or at least some technique. Instead of technique, he served up his huge arrogance and stupidity with a side of a-hole. What was Aaron doing for the other hour and 45 minutes? Was he entertaining himself by antagonizing his teammates? Apparently after Tom's smackdown, Aaron still didn't understand what happened. He goes after Reese Witherspoon (thanks for that one!) for failing on her corn salad. Note to Aaron, you need to back up your own cooking skills by not effing up the simple JAM before you criticize a corn salad. Aaron is proof that you don't have to be female to get called a bitch. Joy. Joy. Joy. I know that undercooked/raw meat gets you sent home from this show, but I still wanted Aaron to be eliminated before Joy. She seems more genuine, likeable, and interesting. I would rather have seen Joy for more episodes. I'm trying to cut her some slack, but finding it hard to do so when she didn't cook her meat. In her talking head, she said she should have voiced her opinion more and seemed to blame her team more for the vanilla idea. Joy, you forgot. YOU got sent home not for the vanilla but for undercooked meat. I'm liking the revamp of this show this season... like the other chefs standing on the side to hear the judges praises and criticisms. They can learn more from hearing what the judges are thinking, rather than getting drunk in the stew room and making saran wrap animals. ITA about Todd English looking a bit haggard. I remember him being handsome a few years ago, but I almost didn't recognize him until Padma introduced him. At first I thought why did they have a dirty old homeless man on the show? Also, I found it interesting that this challenge was picking a box/basket. I immediately thought of Chopped. The chefs had different boxes, yes, but I still was thinking Chopped. This makes me hopeful that they've revamped other challenges this season, too, which will definitely keep me watching.
  17. "Flesh is burning, ne-ne-ne-ne-nene... flesh is burning, ne-ne-ne-ne-nene..."
  18. Whoopi Goldberg was on as the main guest one night. RIDICULOUS! She's on EVERY day on The View. Isn't she on TV enough? Why does she have to go on Jimmy's show? I hate that some of these talk show hosts go on other talk shows as if they haven't told their entire life stories multiple times by now. I know Whoopi was promoting the new movie she's in and it's probably a different audience watching at night, but that doesn't mean I have to listen to it. I turned the channel.
  19. Riding on all of those walnuts out of the closet must have hurt.
  20. I didn't like Sarah, but Beverly was awful too. In the last episode with Beverly, they were in the kitchen working at their own stations. Beverly moved her blender over to Sarah's station and plugged it in right in the middle of Sarah's work space. The editing monkeys panned to the electrical outlet at Beverly's station to show us Beverly had one of her own. But, she took her blender over to Sarah's and plopped it down in Sarah's way. That's being an assh@###. Sarah didn't blow up at her but tried to ignore her. I'm not going to stick up for Sarah, but Beverly was an instigator in her own way too. I didn't like either one of them.
  21. Frasier: "Give a dog an hour you can bill him for 7." Frasier: "No one knows for whom the bell tolls" :::: ding :::: Martin: "Did anyone else hear that?"
  22. Great episode! I'm so glad that Jen loved the dress Chloe made for her and Jen looked great in it. It's hard to pick another woman's style. Chloe did a great job on the dress. Bill is so thoughtful! He did a great job with the details and figuring out what Jen would like. The vow renewal, all the family and friends, the beach, the dress, the cake, the group dance, etc. Even knowing that Jen wouldn't see the whole beach picture until she came over the rise in the sand and would see everyone there. I, too, especially loved it when Jen saw her aunt and was overcome with joy in seeing her there. AND Bill's mom. (Zoey is so CUTE!) I expected the actual vow renewal to be rather boring, anticlimactic, or something dull. BUT, I listened to every word. Jen and Bill mean them! I especially got teary when Bill got choked up in the middle of his. He got his 2 children but almost lost his wife and he couldn't lose her. When I was listening I flashed back to the steps they went thru to get to this point in their lives. Using computer speak, their vow renewal was like them "backing-up and saving" their previous life so far and creating a save point for them to go forward. I love this show for not only Bill and Jen and their family, but how it makes me feel after watching.
