  1. I wanted to like her since everyone else seems to. She went on to be behind the camera on Top Chef so I figured I was missing something. Just when I think maybe she's changed, her obnoxious self comes out again.
  2. I'm disappointed in some of the outcomes this time. I wait a year for this show to come back. I'm all excited. I'm rooting for my favorites. BAM. Brooke's gone. Adam's gone. Jose's gone. Stephanie's gone. I still have a lot of faves, since I respect most of these chefs and love to see them do what they do, but dang it's hard to see them suddenly gone. Lee-Anne Wong was a jerk last year imho, and tends to be too boastful. I know these chefs are self promoters but many do it in a way that is more confidence with talent and the wins to back it up. Lee-Anne seems to be more on the obnoxious side of that behavior. This is the first time I've seen her win a battle and she ended up getting the highest score of the night. I'm happy for her for that restaurant donation since the devastating fires in Hawaii. She's not on my fave list. While I'm posting... sending out some fangirl crush for Shota! ETA: since Guy is going to be Guy and come up with nicknames for these chefs, if I were competing I'd want a kick ass name. Antonia "Princess Warrior" isn't bad.
  3. First off, I'm glad this show is back. I love watching people shine doing what they do. Another plus is anyone from any background can compete and win. I have so many favorites that it's hard to watch any of them lose. After all the speculation about FN maybe scrubbing Darnell out of the show completely, I was surprised to see Amanda and Darnell's segment when it aired tonight. I agree it looked like it was edited so we got the very short version. When Amanda won, we don't see Darnell hug Amanda or congratulate her or say anything. The edit shows him exiting out the door. Gone. FN handled it well. Don't hide it but don't embellish.
  4. ITA that Christine's first wedding gown was even worse than (on Golden Girls) Dorothy's wedding dress to Lucas that had what looked like construction paper loops on the bodice of her gown.
  5. Maybe I've seen this show too much. Amos looks kind of like Kody. Maybe it's the facial hair.
  6. ITA with all the comments of love and well wishes for Christine and David. I had to grab a tissue. Someone mentioned that it was a healing moment, too. It was great hearing the OG kids talk about how wonderful it was to have the family come together again and be the family they are. (without Kody trying to crush everyone's happiness) I also heard genuine emotional happiness that David's family is like the other half of their family they didn't know they had. I forgot how it was stated. David's family was out-partying them, lol. I loved that. Everyone is happy, celebrating their union. I would like to see at least another season of this show how both families are blending. (without the tumor named Kody) I laughed so hard over that! Thanks Janelle! Christine got to dance with her dad. Her mom was there. I also liked that Christine asked that all the women come up and dance together. Awesome that everyone was doing a flash mob moment. Christine recognized it and explained it to David. Such a sincere, sweet moment that caught Christine by surprise. Mykelti needs to stop sucking all the air out of the room. Put your obnoxious instigator self away.
  7. Don't ask me "Y". (wink) I've always wondered how the heck did they come up with those names. I figured there was some Plyg name generator on the internet.
  8. I get that vibe from Mykelti, too. It's not about the truth for some (K, R, etc.), it's about what money they can make from a good lie whether it's a little fib or a big one.
  9. I'm happy for Christine, too. She is excited and beaming. She's finally getting the wedding of her dreams. David and his family were great and having a good time, too. Christine's mom and dad were there. Really sweet. Her mom said she couldn't be at the first wedding so this was special for her seeing her daughter get married. I've read that before, of course, but hearing her mom say those words and how emotional it was for her made me cry. Christine said her dad has been sick for awhile. IIRC, he said something about now she's in a happy place. There are so many emotional healing moments here. It was strange when the kids were discussing what to call David. Stepdad or something else. So many wives and polygamist hogwash over the years but they suddenly find it weird that David would be their Stepdad. Call him David. Problem solved. Something I notice about David is he has a sense of humor. Kody doesn't. For me, that's a big thing. A good sense of humor is a quality. I don't mind that Christine is over the top excited. Every smile, every laugh, everyone beaming is another knife to Kody's kidney.
  10. I don't understand Meri's thinking. She should have mentioned that big glaring truth that Robyn wasn't showing up when they did make plans together. It goes against Meri saying that Robyn had her back, etc. I would have felt more sympathetic to her sooner. If she does write a book, I doubt we'd still get the real truth, just the one she wants to spin at the time. If Meri had really been thinking, she could have used the truth as leverage against R&K at the time.
  11. I thought Janelle saw the light many episodes ago that Kody was a piece of crap to be wiped off the bottom of her shoe. But, then Janelle will say something wishy-washy like she could still be friends with Kody... which I'm thinking she means a friends with benefits thing where they just have sex. I'm wanting her to learn from Christine's example that she could find someone nice that will treat her well and not be Robyn's sloppy seconds. Janelle really should stop telling us that she's worried about her spiritual marriage, too, since she divorced her first husband in the first place. She didn't have any trouble leaving the first one. Maybe from her perspective she's playing it up in case she can turn it into something legally binding that she's still sealed with him. She should stop giving Kody some of his power back.
  12. I almost choked on my coffee. He spins everything to blame someone else. In this case it's Meri's fault. He said she was such a bad wife that he had to get another wife fast. What a wuss! Did Meri ask you to put the seat down? I really liked when Janelle called him a bastard. Too bad she's years way late on that comment.
  13. Good for Meri. Kody melted down their wedding ring. Meri ditched his name.
  14. ITA with what's been said. I'm really enjoying this show with the OG wives laughing and being sarcastic. Seeing Jenn, I thought she'd be annoying. Instead, she was a breath of fresh air. It's like she was the voice of the regular at-home viewer helping to put a fresh perspective on things for Meri. Plus, Meri needs a friend in her corner. TLC would make money selling "Kody-Hole and Crybrows" t-shirts.
  15. Christine and Janelle were glowing during their segments. They seem so real now talking to the camera instead of shut down and trying to think first what is safe to say. They don't have to worry about Kody repercussions. Christine said that Kody only wanted the bubbly Christine. That still wasn't enough for him. He still denigrated her in front of the family and on television. He wanted to be insulated from anyone's negativity. None of that made him a better man. He still hated on her. Robyn, you are the queen of Kody dunghill. On a sidenote, the mystery of Kootie hair has been revealed. Robyn showed him how to scrunch his curls. Maybe he will teach you how to cry. Meri says she's not a" doormat"... don't tell us you want to save that info for your book. In contrast to how Christine and Janelle look so happy and healthy, Meri looks miserable like she's had a cold, for years. Her hair is a mess, looks like she's been crying, and comes across as a woman who has no hope. Meri, you should be thriving now. You are rid of Boris and Natasha's manipulations. We need a spark of something from her because she's coming across as a doormat. See Meri, you still haven't changed your image.
  16. Isn't that disgusting! He didn't care about them in the bedroom either. Just about his own pleasure. When each of his OG3 wives stopped having children, he had no use for them. I feel the same way. I didn't want K and R being included either. I want them to be left out in the cold and not profit from this. Since they are going to be shown, what I'm hoping now is we get to see K/R's reaction to seeing Christine win. I'm calling it a win. Christine got away, found love with a good guy, and moved on with her life. I'm sure Kody thought no one would ever want Christine since he loathed her. In his mind Christine was worthless but David and Christine getting married is confirmation that she's a catch. Kody, you loser! Christine wasn't alone for long. Another wound in Kody's side. She's not yesterday's leftovers to be thrown out in the trash.
  17. I've thought several times that Kody must be playing up being the biggest a-hole he can be to get people watching. He's not that good of an actor. He really IS that horrible a-hole. Kody goes on and on how Christine is trash talking him. Dude, Christine is telling the truth about what happened. We've watched it for years. Christine is justified. Kody wants to shut her down any way he can. Yet, he's the one accusing her and trash talking her every second. What a hypocrite. The kids lived it. Lived through it. Then see Kody lie about it on the show for years. Christine is sharing a bit more about what her sex life with Kody was like. He didn't kiss her even during sex. Made her feel inadequate. Ridiculed her even when intimate. She shouldn't have put up with that for years. She didn't deserve that. No wonder Kody is worried. The whole truth is starting to come to the surface.
  18. Thank you, Christine. (per Robyn) ITA. At first, Robyn didn't know about the personality test. When Suki could back up her question, Robyn says she heard about it but didn't take it. Suddenly, she says that someone must have taken it for her and it was Christine! Suki didn't say anything about Christine. Yet Robyn is certain it is Christine. Robyn got caught in her lies. Concerning Robyn and Kody, she's telling us how awful Kody is. He's picking fights with her and blaming her. Sabotaging her. She wants it documented that he's in a dark place. He is agreeing with all of her assertions. I'm waiting for her to play her last card in her evil game. I don't feel sorry for Kody one bit. I'm glad for Christine that she met David. I hope he's a great guy. I am concerned though that she said she fell in love with him on their 4th date. She's never had anyone truly like her before so she doesn't have any experience with men. Be careful. Kody was such a catfish bottom-feeder in that he chose women who didn't feel much worth. Christine seems so vulnerable. I really do wish her and David happiness. I hope Meri writes a book but I'm not likely going to believe her now. It would have been normal if she'd told us a little bit about things along the way. Everyone needs to vent a little. Then, she could have told us the whole story from her point of view in a book. She's not coming from a clean position though. She'll tell us something as long as she makes money doing it. She might make up stuff to sell it. I think Christine helped Meri by mentioning that Kody melted down her ring. Kody is such a lying liar. He admits he made a sacred covenant with Robyn. Yet, Suki brings up how he'd made a covenant with Meri, too. Kody then wants to redefine what covenant means and how it doesn't apply to Meri so he couldn't have broken it.
  19. ITA. It's clearer this season especially. It's all documented, too. Robyn could claim mental cruelty and abuse. Kootie's manipulation of his OG wives, his alienation of his OG children, etc. He's even told us he's going to be the devil they think he is. He talks about going to his dark side. His trying to rewrite history. He's a narcissist, lying hyopcrite, manipulative sociopath bastard with years of film against him. It wouldn't surprise me if Robyn has planned for years now how and when she will divorce Kody. She'll ask for everything. The paintings, the collectibles, the house, etc. I was LOL when Robyn joked at the picnic table that she might divorce Kody! I don't like Robyn, but I think when she's finally done with Kootie that he might wish he had a barndominium to live in and won't even have that. (Did she make him sell his beloved white convertible?) Robyn should be careful/afraid of him. It wouldn't take much for him to snap, and we'd hear about him on the news having done something awful to his family.
  20. Well, Meri. Apparently, you've had years and years and years to tell that story about the ring. It's not like it's a new happening. Don't expect me to be against Christine because she mentioned it. Kody melted down your marriage years ago. I wish you hadn't wasted all these years when you could have made a good life and happy memories with someone else.
  21. During the picnic scene, Kody is such the fragile snowflake. He's afraid of blame and Meri says she's not blaming him. YET. Kody strongly blames everyone! Christine, Janelle, Meri, his OG kids. Meri was holding back from using harsh words addressing Kody. I want her to say "hey shithead, I'm divorcing YOU" but that's not what we got. Is Meri afraid of Kody? His other kidney might blow? Is Kody afraid of Meri? Twice now, when the 3 of them are together, Kody sits further away than a normal distance. Robyn blurts out that she might leave Kody. She said she's joking, but he deserves it. I hope she does leave him. In Kody's TH he says he could leave as well. I'm remembering in the beginning how they were trying to convince the rest of us that we have things all wrong and they are the ideal family unit. Add me to the growing list who burst out laughing when Robyn said she'd be on her knees every night.
  22. We never hear Kody wrestling with the spiritual aspects of his being a bad husband. Christine, Janelle, and Meri all bring up how hard it is/was to figure out how they feel about eternal togetherness. It never enters Kody's mind. In one sentence he's wondering why Janelle isn't wanting him back. The next sentence he's wondering why Meri is still hanging around. I've been waiting for Kody's nose to be rubbed into the shit he's made. I hope his children leave him far behind. Kody isn't an acceptable father. He was only a sperm donor.
  23. I thought they used it as both. The cruise came at the right time.
  24. I don't have any problem with Christine's outfit. I like floral embroidery so I'd be feeling feminine and pretty in it, too. Everyone looks joyously happy! I'm surprised that Janelle went on their honeymoon cruise with them. Christine and Janelle look happier than I've ever seen them. Good for both of them. I hope David is a good guy and he's happy, too. Every day they are happy punches Kody and Robyn in the kidneys. Cheers everyone!
