  1. Episode 2 really laid bare the problems with policing in Baltimore and its cyclical nature.
  2. I kind of loved this first episode. Compelling characters, great acting and just enough familiar stuff mixed in with the unknown.
  3. BTH was amazing in this episode and I need a Wiley album stat.
  4. Tremendous missed opportunity to have one of the field trip busses with 26" chrome rims on it. Still love the show.
  5. Is that what he was doing though? He was frustratingly not in a hurry and I cannot discern why he would assume he was close to Burt on the outside. Look for a phone, try to find family, or something like that would seem the smart way to do it. It seemed to me that he was on a different mission than the others and always has been; both inside and out apparently. Loved the show and hope they can keep it up.
  6. I lol'd around the 30 minute mark when Louie and Jerome were doing their chatty stroll a couple in the background were going at it. Not a big fan of this episode because so many juicy revelations were undercut by one or both of the parties being wasted and it would be doubtful either party would remember much anyways. I kinda feel like Wanda...why you gonna do this to me right now show?
  7. This may be a throwaway thing, but when AVA was dictating that text regarding wanting a birth certificate for the reality show, she dictated it as if she were asking AVA for a birth certificate, not sending a text from AVA. So, is she using someone's identity? Am I crazy? I watched it twice to be sure I didn't mishear it.
  8. Was Van always this malicious or is she on drugs or what is going on there?
  9. I sense Louie and Jerome have some tragedy coming their way.
  10. Yes! This show isn't about the roots of faith, it's about the symbology and fanaticism born from it. Or maybe it's snakes and robots. Either way, I think I'm out after this season. I find myself actively rooting for characters to die a gruesome death and others to make their way to a better show.
  11. I anxiously await Real Time with ________. Love the format but the titular host is starting to mold.
  12. Great, now I'm going to be hearing bleating goats in my nightmares.
  13. Imagine having a week to prepare for an episode then coming out an opening with an absolute dud of a joke about masks. Gallego was refreshing and the discussion was lively enough. I wonder if they will go back to three person panels with the restrictions lifted.
  14. Whats up with the camera in Minka Kelly's wardrobe clock? Then later at Maddie's house on the wall behind her is a sign that says "Smile, you're on camera". Nate was spiraling and now he's even worse. Cannot figure out why he is making any of the choices he is.
  15. Just spitballing here, but if they aren't carbon based lifeforms like earth creatures are maybe they need sustenance that isn't carbon based aka cannot be grown here? Of course that would mean that the cow could eat earth food or doesnt need to be fed as often a la camels with water.
  16. Was this said in the show or are you making an assertion based on his age and the timeline?
  17. I don't want this to be the case, but I feel like they were hinting that Grogu is a clone with Luke's "It's like he's remembering" line. Love Cad Bane big time but they need to get his color right.
  18. Sometimes fantastic movies go off the rails when they have to tie things up at the end with explanations. Is this happening right now with AoT? This lore is A LOT to take in.
  19. Bill's slipping off the edge. The Soviet Union may have been over in name, but there are no doubts the iron curtain is still around, albeit rustier than before. Is he even paying attention to the news? Bill seems less interested in talking about policy politics and more interested in talking culture-war politics and that's why he feels like he's lurching rightward. Yes, crime is up in places, but why not talk about the root causes of it? Why not discuss the Great Resignation happening right now and the push from the bottom up for worker rights? Bill's reverse-engineering his panels from shared places of grievance. Has he always done that? I'll keep watching for a while because I enjoy the unfiltered format even when they book guests who don't deserve the platform (Hi Bari!). See y'all next week on Bill Maher's cavalcade of whiny b!tching.
  20. Bari canceled herself from a newspaper job she hardly had the temperament or maturity for. I think she knew she could ride the wave of anti-cancel culture outrage and elevate her profile. She's craven and while I would certainly like to get settled into normalcy again, opening the country up right now is an absolutely moronic suggestion. They seriously mischaracterized the motivations behind the UK dropping restrictions and at least they have two political parties saying to get vaxxed. It's a disingenuous position to act as if any serious person is pushing the idea that the vax is a silver bullet, but the science overwhelmingly shows it keeps people out of hospitals and from dying at higher rates. Not sure why Bari and Bill don't want to admit that. It must be a tough life jetsetting around the country to speaking engagements.
  21. Hope the series ends with Ruth and the Byrd kids with changed names living in the Pacific Northwest.
  22. She likes it and that's all that matters really...I thought we were past judging people for these things here in the year of our lord 2022.
  23. Such a good song. Paloma Faith does an amazing cover of it I'm quite fond of. The intro is just so cinematic...it's quite a piece of music.
