  1. Since they were first class tickets they'd be refundable, but like said above, they would be refunded back to the card that bought them so it isn't like Darlene could actually get the cash. I'm not sure if they'd be transferrable if they sold them to someone else (and who do they know that could afford to pay even part of the face value of two first class tickets to Hawaii). The other issue, is yes the tickets are usually the most expensive part of a vacation, but where will they sleep when they get to Hawaii and what will they eat? They can barely make ends meet now and, depending on the island, even the cheapest hotel is over $100 a night.
  2. At least this math problem was a straight up multiplication problem. I hate the ones where production gives (or accepts) a wrong answer because they aren't following correct order of operations. I'm also on the anyone but Fessy and Kaycee train. Although I'm rooting for CT and Amber. Especially because then Amber gets some level of vindication. Has this season been plagued with the most injuries ever? I can't remember a season with more folks who got DQd due to injury. That seems like maybe their games are a little too dangerous.
  3. But I do like that due to the no shopping thing, we got to see them in the hotel and relaxing and bonding. If that continues I'll be happy. I loved that too. I hope they keep it up, although assume they won't. The one thing for me is that if I have to spend the whole season being hit over the head about how the restaurant industry has suffered I may be out. I know they've suffered. I can't hear about it weekly.
  4. I was okay with her reasoning. The vet's office was near his place and she didn't want to leave the ashes in the car due to cat ghosts. For some reason I thought that was kind of funny. I really like Mayiam, but I'm not 100% certain I've ever seen her in something where she had romantic chemistry with her chemistry partner. Here. Big Bang Theory. (Well, ok these are the only things I've seen her in as an adult.) That being said I like her better with Oscar even though I know he's not endgame. If the series were to be cancelled I thought this was a decent series finale.
  5. Well, that's unfortunate because that's what I was looking forward to.
  6. Maybe the water could have been more turquoise colored? Is turquoise more spring than dark blue? Where's Nancy when we need her? I thought Jamal was going to win it all and am a little sad to see him go. I do like Derek also . I don't necessarily understand the tower thing. You "glue" the item to the styrofoam with some sort of frosting or whatever. When you pull it off, doesn't some of the styrofoam stick? Like how do you get them back off to eat them? Croquembouche I get because it is free standing. This I do not. Which is why I liked Derek's tower with cupcakes. Nothing was 'glued' to styrofoam. They were free standing. (Plus his disks were beautiful!)
  7. Allegedly, the reasoning behind The Challenge OG that will be showing on Paramount + was to counter that. They were going to return to the old school less physical strength challenges and a variety of challenges. I don't know how it will pan out but it is supposed to be a more balanced Challenge. Of course, you have to subscribe to Paramount + to see it so there's that...
  8. Admittedly, it was 11 years ago (I had to look it up) but until Fessy picks up a struggling Johnny Bananas (or someone equally his size) on his back across a line, he can shut up about CT. (Season 20, episode 8 Cutthroat). Wasn't he the one who was only interested in going to the crater if it was Hall Brawl?
  9. Yes, that's exactly what happened. She found Brigitte's web page for her patients and emailed via the "contact me" link.
  10. I was curious, so I googled. The state of Missouri never had a state-wide mask mandate. While theoretically this Cloud 9 is in St. Louis, I could also see it being in a suburb that is 'technically' it's own town but they just say St. Louis. (Like I say I live in Fort Worth and USPS says that, but my hamlet does actually have a city council). So I could see their hamlet not necessarily having a mask mandate but Cloud 9 having a mask rule for employees and people entering the store. Texas dropped the mask mandate a couple weeks ago and in doing so made it impossible for the towns/cities to have them too, but individual business can still make their own rules. I was in Target over the weekend which has signs outside about masking up, but there were folks without them.
  11. I think it may be because the OGs have so much relationship bad blood between them from so much history. They seem incapable or unwilling to put some of it behind them even when it would help them. They don't seem to grasp the enemy of my enemy is my friend concept. Although, for this season, only 10 out of the original 30 cast members were originally from Real World/Road Rules or Challenge. Everybody else had a different origin show. If 100% of the different origin show group banded together, they could completely wipe out the old school MTV crowd.
  12. Her response to him was something along the lines of "that's never going to happen," so I think he's disqualified (for now, since I'm sure the show runners will pair the two Black sidekicks up at some point in the future).
  13. It makes me wonder if the weirdo persona is because she's not that confident in drag as a whole and if she's weird then people are judging her on the weirdness and she's not failing as a "pretty" queen. I didn't like Kandy in the beginning because of the way she kept coming after Tamisha, whom I liked from the beginning. For me, that's all it really is. Over the weekend I went to an outdoor drag show featuring some of Ru Paul's queens, Bianca Del Rio, Aquaria, Violet Chachki, Plastique, Kameron Michaels, Asia O'Hara and Naomi Smalls. During her introduction, Bianca went on a whole little rant about how Kandy was still on this season which made me laugh. (She's very funny!)
  14. The way I understood it was that he was still holding out hope they would have their time and her moving in with another man meant they would never be able to have their time in the future.
  15. It amuses me that Sandra's so honest she gave herself the 1 star. Clearly old dude wouldn't have known if she had said she was worth 5 stars (which clearly she is). I liked it up until the flooding and then I couldn't get past that. The toilets at my work clog up every once in awhile. I don't think they've ever flooded enough to flood an entire store. Unless the handle is somehow blocked open once you stop flushing the water stops flowing.
  16. Same. What I'd really like to see is that with all that Gina is helping him opening up and becoming a better person he gets back with his wife because I really like Sarah Rue.
  17. They just started it last season, but the problem is they design it so everyone can have an opportunity to get a skull if they want it. There's no real cut-off penalty for those who are too scared in the beginning to go down and compete for the skull. I like it as a concept, but I want there to be randomness over when the ability to get a skull ends. I want 8 people to go home all at once for not having theirs. That would make it interesting in subsequent years. The way it works now still allows for the physically stronger players to pick off the perceived physically weaker players. But the last time they threw out the votes of those who didn't compete. I wish they had done it again, although I'm not sure it would have helped. Those big guys never remember that the final is an endurance game not just brute strength and it takes a whole lot more effort to haul that 250+ lbs of muscle through snow or ice or sand than it does for someone smaller and they never have good endurance. That's why (and boy was I glad to see it after the tool he was) Zach gassed out right away on the season he made it to the final.
  18. I kind of thought the opposite, that the lawyer gets him in a way Amy never does and she'll end up being the catalyst for him to move on and go back to school and that's how his ending will go.
  19. That did bug me a little bit because it isn't like Anna-Kat is 5. Isn't she somewhere between 10 & 12? I know times are different and blah blah blah, but we rode our bikes to the park, played by ourselves and rode home all without issue and needing constant supervision. I guess you could argue that the optics in Westport wouldn't be great if she were there alone, but I can't imagine Westport has a high crime area. I really like the addition of JD, but I am weirded out by the baby mama story. I'm less happy about the addition of Tammy. I could do without Jim Rash as well.
  20. I just listened to the first episode's Challenge podcast with Tori and Aneesa and they said they weren't told, which is why they picked Wes and CT. Traditionally in past challenges it has always been guys elimination first then girls. They were all shocked when it was a girl elimination.
  21. I work for a City and we get so excited when the food trucks come. We don't get them a lot because the restaurants surrounding city hall complained the trucks were taking their customers, but it's like a party when they come! It's different food and they're always good. It's just something new and different. Plus, per my bestie who lives in LA, they have some awesome food trucks there. And if they come to you, you don't have to drive any place. I loved this episode. I loved the situations and how many were not actually HR issues. The questions guy, yes the mayor, that you kind of want to murder because he won't shut up. Jayden memorizing the right answers so he could get his empanadas and then freaking out and buying an excessive amount of food. The end with the wife looking like Ted Danson had me laughing out loud.
  22. I think that may be why I don't like the show as much as I want to. I think I'm not that fond of the kids, especially Santi.
  23. It's possibly a little of both. Although basically every TV show fudges all over the place about money, I know when I worked in HR at a university, humanities professors are the lowest paid on the totem pole so he definitely isn't paid as much as a business school or science professor would be. I feel like I recall him just getting tenure in a recent season/episode so if he was an adjunct in Oliver's early years it is probable they were financially struggling. Adjuncts are the lowest paid and don't have the same job security since they are basically temps. BUT I can also see not spending money on things like bicycles for older kids because they will rarely ride it so just having the one or two adult sized bicycles makes sense to me. (I got my teenager a bicycle she specifically asked for her birthday. That was 3 years ago. She's ridden it maybe 15 to 20 times in all that time.) I don't know why but I thought Jake Choi's character was lying or exaggerating about his life and ability to get things so I was pleasantly surprised that didn't seem to be the case.
  24. Yes. That's exactly what he said so... Good for Josh for winning based on brute force? I can't do those slide puzzles to save my life. Any other kind of puzzle and I would have been fine but I'd be like Mechie on the slide puzzle, just constantly moving those damn squares around and around. I do feel badly for Big T that CT didn't have any faith in her. I was really hoping it was a fake out and Big T would have magically pulled out the win on that one. That would have been nice. I think CT lost to Kyle because he gave up. I'm not sure I blame him. The more often they did this the less likely it would be that Big T would win. I also figured the win would be based on time or something along those lines. Making their partner come back and go against the winner was not that fun for me. I do kind of love that CT pinkie promised not to swap out Big T. He's definitely matured over the many, many years he's been doing this and originally called girls in the contest dead weight.
  25. I feel the same way, it would be so glorious to behold! I love CT and Darrell but neither of them have skulls; I would be sad to see them booted in that fashion, but love it at the same time. But given that the men have 4 skulls to the women's 2, it will go the other way I'm sure.
