  1. It isn't showing in mine either. Such a bummer because I always look forward to listening to this show on my morning commute.
  2. I very distantly know Jason and it's going to be fun to watch this season. He gives a slightly "off" vibe in real life too. Fun fact: the writer who Jason suggested rewrite the script (of Boys Don't Cry) was one of Jason's teachers at film school. Ultimately, he's super fresh from film school and that informs a LoT of how he expresses himself and his ideas about filmmaking. In fact he may not have graduated yet when he was selected. Anyway, I can't offer much insider info but I'm very curious to see how it all plays out.
  3. He looked like a cartoon character in profile! Or like a Star Trek alien! The oddest looking people show up on this show.
  4. The brother and sister from the rerun today were very .... um, how to say this ... unfortunate looking. (They claimed their old roommate owed them money for breaking a lease when they clearly had basically driven him out.) Once again decency reins when Judy wasn't having any of their BS.
  5. That invitation ... You have to really work to make such a perfect storm of tacky taste. Ah, beautiful.
  6. Yes! I've twice found rooms to rent through craigslist and both experiences ended up working out really well. However, both times when I was searching for rooms, I had to go through lots of ads and visited many places. If I got a bad vibe or something seemed off, I didn't rent the room! I've bought pieces of furniture off craigslist. But despite these good experiences, I would Never buy a car off it. Just too much paperwork that could go wrong. Anyway, with the flag case, I think the judge confused things by mentioning the home owners associations. It seemed like the plaintiff felt like his partner had been targeted and they were feeling under attack. I get it. But there was a lot that was being left unsaid and implied about the whole atmosphere of the trailer park and Judy either wasn't picking up on it or didn't want to get into because it didn't Directly apply to the case. Oh I loved watching Judy tell that bad uncle that he was scam artist (from the case with the uncle selling his nephew a car and then taking it back). What a jerk.
  7. Aubrey seems like such a sweet girl and I love her voice. She's going to have a lifetime of hurt feelings with Adam as her dad but at least Chelsea will be there. Chelsea's story really is a lesson about how if you make a baby with a loser you're stuck with him being around for the rest of your life. As for the other girls ... well ... at least with Kail we can see cutie pie Lincoln.
  8. Whoa! I just read their announcement in the NY Times. Crazy crazy. I just saw a re-run with a bride who wanted a red dress and a bride who was recovering from a severe car accident. The red dress one was obviously cooked up for the show, fake fake, but the bride who was struggling to walk again seemed very genuine and got some real reactions from the consultants. It's so weird watching this show after going through my own wedding dress buying ... I think having watched SYTTD in the past made me not want to the bridal salon route myself (I ended up ordering a Kate Spade dress online and getting it altered to fit, no muss, no fuss), but it sure is entertaining to watch.
  9. Yeah, that was really weird! She was acting had had an ob gyn exam before? At 43? Ummm ... That's weird. Also I think it's super weird how she's like "oh I'm totally fertile, no worries" now. I'm 11 years younger than her and I worry about my ability to have children when I'm ready. I have to assume that she has zero intention of having a baby and it was all an act. I'm not sure for who's benefit though ...
  10. I really liked seeing Victoria and that she's doing well. I know Luann wasn't always the most hands-on mom, but it looks like both her kids turned out to be cool young people and she has nice relationships with both of them. And I thought it was cool to include Art Basel in the show. More Luann please!
  11. Not the baby!! Get Matteo back! I was like yelling at the tv. I hope they find him soon. I know there needs to be drama, but I don't want watch Jane be in That much pain.
  12. Omg, awesome! And what a weird explanation: disposable cups are more sanitary? Um, okay ... So creepy how Christian and his family assumed she had run away because she wasn't sitting in the basement. And then he like petted her head. So creepy. Free Maria!
  13. I figured I'd start a topic, because while this show is pretty boring I'm still watching ... maybe cause I'm soon to be married myself? I dunno. Random thoughts: - Enough with the pregnancy health cliffhangers! - I had to mute Laura's reading because I can't stand her so much. - I'm beginning to really feel bad for Sam, because Laura seems like such a cold fish. - Kirk and Laura are very sweet and I can really relate to his weight problems. But the car is dumb. - Nadine's teeth brushing method is bizarre but I'm glad Erik thinks it's cute. (But it's not cute! It's not!)
  14. Laura comes off as really fascinated by her own lesbianism. And I think it's weird how they keep being like "Omg, we were sorority sisters and now we're LOVERS and we're MARRIED" (okay, not an exact quote, but that's how it feels). At first I thought it was just the show's storyline for them, but Laura is writing a memoir about it. It's weird to me. I feel like they're always just telling each other "the story of us" and their past but they really don't seem into their actual real-time relationship.
  15. http://jezebel.com/rhobh-star-kim-richards-arrested-for-battery-public-in-1698276289 I'm actually sort of happy about this because of what a nasty bitch Kim has been all season and her insane mantra that she has no issues with sobriety. Of course, she'll somehow blame Kyle and Rinna and everyone else for this, but she only has herself to blame because when people offered help and tried to point out that she was slipping she decided the best approach was "blah blah blah" and "don't talk about me!" Them's the brakes, Kimmy.
  16. You're right, she probably deleted her own responses. That makes Brandi's complaint even lamer.
  17. I don't even see anything that wrong with Ramona's texts. They're not all one after another and she's asking networking questions. Brandi comes off bad in those texts because she's just ignoring Ramona. Because Brandi is a jerk.
  18. ITA. My parents divorced when I was 5 and neither parent really ever asked me "who is taking care of you?" Because I was always taken care of and that's all that mattered. Ryan's parents seem to adore Bentley and are great with him. What. is. the. problem. As far as I'm concerned, when Bentley is with Ryan, it's not Maci's business what he's doing unless it's something dangerous.
  19. So wait? They still aren't married? I don't get it. It's really bizarre to me that they wouldn't just get married, especially when they've been together since high school and are having a new baby together. Just ... what's the hold up? It makes me not trust Tyler at all.
  20. She's my favorite so far. I found her youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3iwMuz5tt8EnwNH7RayR1Q and the RuGrets series is fun cause she talks about her regrets for every episode. It's super charming.
  21. I totally understand both Eileen and Lisa R in that clip. Eileen is like "wtf?? why are we pretending that this unacceptable (and scary!) behavior didn't happen? And why are we pretending that it's okay that she called me a 'beast' and attacked Kyle?" Lisa R agreeing to pretend everything is hunky-dory feels like a betrayal because Lisa R was with her on calling out reality (the reality being that Kim's behavior is NOT OKAY) and now she's seemingly joined Team Denial. Meanwhile, Lisa is frankly scared and defeated. I really don't think it's because Kim knows anything real about Harry. I think it's because Kim proved that she could successfully push and push Lisa until she found what would make her snap. Lisa was scared by how deeply Kim got to her and Kim was able to do this because Kim knows no boundaries. Kim will continue to go after Eileen, pushing her and provoking until she feels like she's been neutralized.
  22. I watched the dinner scene earlier tonight and the West Coast rerun just came on and I thought "Oh I'll put Housewives on in the background while I answer emails". Kim is so toxic and so just NASTY in that dinner scene I couldn't take it. The way she just lets loose all this venom on a dime is really scary. And the way she went after Kyle was pure emotional abuse. She hit her where she knew it would hurt the most. If I were any of those women - Eileen, Lisa V, Lisa R - I would rather leave the show than ever be put in any situation where I would have to interact with Kim again. I don't blame Kyle for bolting one bit. That's a rational response when someone is just hurtling poison at you and everyone near you. I really felt bad for Kyle tonight and I feel like I understand her in a new way. I have a close family member that can go off like Kim did and hits below the belt in the same way. And my family member is not an addict. She's just a mean, cruel and paranoid person. And so is Kim.
  23. I tried watching this show again after not really being able to get into it. The panel tonight just made me want to change the channel with Tara Setmayer yelling over people. It made me feel like I was watching Fox News or a nonsensical CNN panel. You can tell she was a 24-hour news creature. If I wanted to watch people yelling nonsense, I have plenty of options already. I thought Martin Short was awesome though.
  24. @yourmomiseasy thanks for posting that video! It's super interesting to hear that it was different music irl and other details like that.
