I really liked that brief cold open. Good choice there. I also enjoyed the shot of people fighting in the background while Diaz is at the forefront lazilly stowing away his loot, looking like the complete moron he's proven himself to be. He is also so damn extra. I was howling at that shot and the hurting from betrayal line. I don't know whether to take the fact it happened early on in the season as a sign that the writers got it off their plates soon or that it might actually effing lead to something for once. The only good thing about that mess was Lyla's outfit. Damn. I started drafting an Ocean's 8 type scenario with her and Felicity dressed to the nines. Like her sashaying to go after the Silencer? What was that? Funnily enough, it actually looked really heavy to me in the when she and Felicity were waiting to see what consequences Watson would face.

I went to see Halloween last night. Not my pick, but the movie itself turned out okay for the most part. However, I saw it in a theatre full of teenages who drove me wild. When has it become customary to clap, boo and shout throughout the film? I won't even go into the screaming. It was very much a get off my lawn experience.

What follows is all with the caveat that I’ve yet to see the last episode. But I think that the writers have been abusing Dig’s character and the good will DR has built up. It seems like since S2 they have Dig pulling stupid crap and us being expected to hand wave it away, since it’s Dig. And it’s not that he does stupid crap, we all do, it’s that it’s rarely acknowledged as such. Him being Dig is starting to not be enough of an excuse for me. As for Rene, fine, Felicity has laser vision right now. She doesn’t have to bring up the shit he pulled. But I would certainly like someone to do it.

Felicity can't start over until Diaz is caught. Until then she can work on catching him or wait around with a target on her and William's backs. And honestly, has Diggle met Felicity Smoak?

Given that I've just watched John Diggle of all people side with an organization that a) invented, and b) lost a super weapon, it would make sense. Get a grip, Dig! What are you going on about? It would be ironic if it turns out Lyla's been trying to get away from ARGUS off screen as Dig's getting sucked in more by the day. Here's hoping that Smirky and Frowny are kept together more so that they allow for some ff-ing. Not a good sign if I'm actually on the villain's side in their fight. Hated Felicity's ease with NTA, but I'm explaining it that Felicity is desperate for allies and is willing to play nice to get back up on her quest to bring down Diaz, and have her family safe and reconnected. So, while my preferred course of action would have been shoving the T-sphere up Rene's ass, I can understand that she needed another body in the field.

I like the way the sneak peek is cut, but I do find it off putting that Dig didn't shoot a text to Felicity straight away that they have info on how DIAZ TRACKED HER DOWN! IN ARGUS' PROTECTIVE CUSTODY! Come on, Dig, what with the n00bs and BS, my plate is full with people annoying me. Don't try to budge in.

To be honest, I automatically assumed it would be Oliver's fate in the balance in the flash forwards since William tracks down Roy, a dude with a skill set comparable to Oliver's. I imagine Felicity would come out of the shadow earlier. In my scenario, tracking William down to the island. How did you find me? [pan over to the hozen] You put a tracker in the hozen before I left? - Don't be absurd, I put a tracker in when I gave it to you 20 years ago. Yes, I know about the trip to Tijuana your sophmore year. As for the new bads, Silencer has to be set up with Dinah, I assume. I am most displeased this would mean she'd have a foe, but do hope the Silencer actually silences her for an episode at the least.

I'm still holding onto the hope that this set up at the start of the season means characters will end up in completely different places by its end.

That updated synopsis for 703 bums me out a little. It's nothing new but I forgot that Dig wants Curtis to go undercover for ARGUS. I began to low key hope Curtis would get fired in 702 for being involved in Felicity's efforts. Give him some consequences for the love of God.

I mean, I'd call Felicity a scrappy fighter when the occasion arises such as in the premiere.
