  1. I just watched this again and I really hope we're done with "shocking death" as the mid-season finale "twist". This was such a well executed episode all around. From bringing back Adam Hunt, to introducing Malcolm as the Dark Archer, to Oliver realizing the book was so much bigger than he thought, and being brought down vicously for the first time he came back. Everything clicked wonderfully. Then there's Oliver and Lance working together for the first time and Lance looking for justice outside of the law because he realizes the law is sometimes crooked too. A really great moment for his character. Oh, and Walter was such a mensch, Thea and Quentin were salty as I like them. how are you, sir? -Proficient with fireamrs. -We rob banks and smoke crack together. She's got guts joking about it since she knows Oliver knows she's at least dabbled in drugs. Plus in a few episodes she'll add knocking over a dress shop. Why is the IT department so dark? That can't be good for Felicity's eyes.
  2. When is he going to visit? DD is a pretty big threat and there's no impending visit from Barry requiring his attention elsewhere.plus, it would be pretty insane to do it since Oliver has a target painted on his back, not just GA. I'm not saying that it won't happen, it's definitely more than possible on this show. I just don't think contact beyond calling Sandra from a burner phone and suggesting to take William to visit relatives in Australia for a few months makes a lick of sense.
  3. I think it comes down to interpreting what's already known - the 4x10 promo coupled with that set video of GA frying a Ghost, plus WM divulging that the secret is going to start to unravel in the middle of the season (no shit).
  4. From the Social Media thread: This argument caught my attention as well. I really have to agree that higher education doesn't necessarily equal somebody becoming better spoken. I know people with degrees who just can't put a sensible paragraph together. Which I have to admit I find puzzling because didn't they have to actually read a decent amount of source material to graduate?
  5. I think it's the second episode. I may be confusing things, but I think the ice cream visit is when China White attacks, Dig intervenes and Oliver saves him. Leading to Dig getting even more suspicious about Oliver. And checking the episode list, China White didn't appear between episodes 2 and 7. It definitely didn't happen in episode 7.
  6. Athena was actually my first thought after the A clue. However, I'd really want a gender neutral codename to go with the rest of the team. Aside from Spartan, there's really no specific gender to any of them.
  7. I imagine because she wants to be. Much like SA wants to be married to his wife. These aren't really interesting matters, to be honest. Pretty much this. I fully expected manips and hey, look at Oliver and Felicity frolicking in Bali. A photo of EBR smiling and hugging a guy seems ripe for the picking. That seems like harmless, silly fun to me. However, I'm not gonna pretend that I don't find that being applied to real people kinda gross. Cockles? Do I want to know? :)
  8. I almost hate how good of a backstory that is. Because it could have been good and made so much sense.
  9. I love the cover-up on the beach. And the pic of them getting ready makes me giggle in that it's so typical for a group of girls getting ready. Right down to the glasses on the floor.
  10. You know, I find Laurel deciding to go to San Francisco really understandable. She was 25 or so around the time and seemingly had been saddled caring for her alcoholic Dad for a few years, where it seem the rest of her life revolved around law school. Opting for a fresh start looks like a healthy decision.
  11. Wasn't Laurel an acknowledged workaholic who didn't really have a life beyond her job (and picking up her dad from bars, although I'm not sure whether that part was in the pilot). She most certainly was not dating Tommy in the pilot. Why aren't these pretty basic facts correct?
  12. I never saw Oliver and Sara as romantic. I also didn't get the impression of the show trying to sell it as such. It always came across more as comfort and familiarity. It was understandable to me. They went though a lot of similar, highly unusual experience and saw likeness in that. Only as the episodes went on, their differences came more to the forefront.
  13. I was on that train for a while. Then I switched to her motivation being power, not money. My reasoning is that she wasn't so much about Oliver as she was about becoming Moira, the Next Generation. Again, like Laura Hurley, I would respect her more for putting up with Ollie if he was a means to an end.
  14. This will never not be funny. It makes me chortle every time I see it.
  15. I actually don't think that Oliver doesn't have any standards when it comes to his bed partners. Ollie definitely, but not Oliver. That isn't to say I didn't facepalm at his choices. I did, so hard. But, while I think his logic was lacking and you know, unhealthy a lot of the time, I could see where he was coming from. Laurel was supposed to be his great love at the point, the one whose image got him through those five years and a shot of redemption for what he had put her through. Helena, Sara and even Isobel after their talk were women he could see had something in common with him. And McKenna (the best choice if we set aside the fact that she was hunting down the Hood at the time) seemed to genuinely like him. But I do agree that he's completely different with Felicity and it's a good thing. A great thing, in fact. After 2x06 I actually got the impression that he was a little afraid of her and how she could draw him in if he allowed it.
  16. I wasn't that surprised that they would go for it, given that S1 which was dealing with the reprecussions of Oliver messing around with two sisters, also gave us Dig and Carly. It's certainly not nearly as bad, but it was weird having it go on at the same time. Not gonna lie, Dig and Carly would have made my eyebrows go up in whichever context, but I would have found it easier to accept if it didn't seem like your sibling's significant other is the obvious romantic choice in this world. Also more understandable - if they were living in a small community and not in Starling, population: half a million. The pool is simply not that small. In the end, by the time Isobel's involvement with Robert was revealed, I laughed.
  17. I can definitely see Malcolm bending logics to get to Oliver killing Tommy and not, you know, him. However, I will never buy him giving two shits about Tommy. Which is really weird, since he supposedly loved his wife so much and Tommy is their child. Then again, Malcolm's a sociopath.
  18. I like how it plays with canon. Thea's in the dark, Oliver, Felicity and Dig are in the inner circle, Dig, with his black and white morality, is CIA straight away, he wasn't in the gray teritory, Oliver being Roy's mentor...
