  1. Speculation about the "him" being someone other than Darhk is interesting, but it's Darhk. If it's not, I'll be more shocked than I would be with Felicity in that grave. I don't know how I feel about Malcolm being the big villain of S5 to be frank. I'm not really sure I can buy him as honestly intimidating as I did in S1 for that to come off as interesting to me. Narratively on the other hand, it makes sense with "the island" presumably being dealt with that year to circle back to the guy who started that whole ball rolling. In this case, the only other person who makes sense is Robert. He brought Malcolm onto his family. Even on this show, I can't see it being him after a shot to the head, then being pecked by seagulls.
  2. Can you expand on how you think the friendship would be beneficial to each? See? This is what I'm telling you guys. They weren't always made of suck. They used to have Ollie transitioning to Oliver, storylines that were connected to the present timeline and Anatoly! Even before Anatoly, season 1 flashbacks were good. Maybe I'll change my mind on another watch, but I really dug 1x14, which was extremely flashback heavy.
  3. I know you didn't ask me, but in my book, it's shock factor. Whether they will manage to actually shock anyone is another matter. Still, I think that, along with creating an almost season long tension in waiting for that body to drop, is what fueled this decision. I found Thea's insistence on why Oliver wasn't Ollie anymore in S1 utterly exasperating at times. What she knew at the time was that he had been stuck alone on a deserted island for five years, left to the elements! Not having speech impediments should have been considered as a huge plus. But it all made sense with Thea's character, plus we also had Moira who was 30 or so years older with the bright idea of having Oliver take hold of the family company a week after his return. I honestly don't know what she was thinking then. And, and the poor dude didn't even get to skip brunch with Carter Bowen. You'd think he'd get at least that after returning from the dead. Oh, I'm rewatching S1 again too. I'm finished with Helena's first episodes now and on the one hand, there's a certain vibrancy to the show, on the other, it's noticeably still in the awkward stage of finding its footing. One thing that I find puzzling is that Thea didn't get a car until her 18th birthday. It's completely surprising, given Moira's proclivity to get her kids anything and everything money can buy. It makes me think that Walter must have been in the mansion before Thea turned 16 and he was the one to put his foot down. Kindly and with class, natch. I don't remember if it was ever stated how long he and Moira were married. If it was, can someone jog my memory?
  4. I always just assumed Walter since he asked for Felicity's help as well. I honestly didn't give it more thought than that. But I could see Oliver casually bringing up having some problems with his computer during a family meal. The pa would have cast a sarcastic remark, Moira would probably have offered to puchase a new one (or six) along with the person to operate it, and Walter would come out with the logical solution. The management has an eye on Felicity Smoak. Go see her. Really? I didn't know about that. That's great on EBR's part.
  5. Was she with the same guy she's with now? He's a photographer, so they could have done him asolid.
  6. I don't see guys being intimidated by Joanna at all. She projected warmth and seemed very approachable in all her appearances. There were the "treasure hunt" security fob which lead to the promise of a bottle of red wine, and Malcolm's arrow with the 'Felicity, you are remarkable' exchange. I feel like there were more but these are the ones I remember off the bat.
  7. That was offered to him and he turned it down? Does he have other projects in the works?
  8. Do they even know of each other? I mean, it's fair to assume that they know of each other's existence, but has either of them acknowledged that on screen, something like Oliver commenting that he's grateful he doesn't have to deal with Snart's cold gun in his new suit?
  9. Yeah, I don't think it's out of the question that there were guys interested in Felicity, we just didn't see that since we only ever saw her in connection with Oliver and that was, prior to 1x14 during her work hours. Anything could be true and I don't believe we'll ever be told one way or the other. Honestly, the 'first guy who's noticed me in forever' has slipped my mind, but I can see her as being oblivious to that a bit. Maybe even somewhat willingly obtuse given what we find out about her in later seasons. I don't mind Oliver seeking companionship in the past. I've said before, I think he's a very social person who needs company to thrive. Of course he's tried to isolate himself during the course of the show, but that's usually when he makes a complete mess of things because in my mind it goes against his basic nature and he's fighting himself. I need something dark next year since there has to be a reason for him wanting to do everything by himself when he comes back.As for the Arrow ladies being attractive, I figure that's par for the course. They all are so it's expected. It's not like one of them is Cinderella and the others are ugly step sisters so someone sticks out. Gorgeous is their average.
  10. I attribute Oliver opening himself up to people to both Felicity and Dig. I watched episodes 1x07 and 1x08 (with Helena's original appearance) last night. The first time (or three) I watched I was too caught up in, oh my God, Oliver, why are you so stupid? Dig, my deepest condolences for dealing with this idiot. I mean, honestly, bringing a psycho killer to your lair, uncovering your and your associate's identities AND adding to her skill set? Getting back to the point, amidst all that, I think this is the first time I actually took into account how much and how explicitly Oliver was pushed in that direction. Both Dig and Thea prodded him to forge human connections. Would have been swell if someone had the foresight to add, not with psycho killers! As for Felicity, who's to say that the scenario of her being hounded by charmed co-workers wasn't the case? We know she was single because she said so, but that doesn't have to mean there weren't interested parties. For all we know, when doped up Oliver came to find her, she could have been bitching to the woman she was talking to about Jack from accounting who called her to come because he didn't turn on his computer screen. In fact, it would be hilarious if she put Oliver with his lame excuses into the same category with half a dozen others. Oh geez, not another one. But I can't turn him down that easily because of who he is. At least he's nice to look at.
  11. It's the necklaces that get me. His whole style is why I can never view SA as remotely as hot as I do Oliver.
  12. Enjoy. http://www.popsugar.com/celebrity/Stephen-Amell-Shirtless-Pictures-St-Barts-December-2015-39558847#photo-39558905 It's not really noticeable in others. At least the arms game is still strong.
  13. Thank you all for clarifying. Right. Almost network. I forgot about that part. It's a rather gross, misogynistic way to refer to her, I've got to say.
  14. There aren't any other shows where the original female lead's role got reduced as the series progressed? This is an honest question.
  15. If that turns out to be true, I want to know who it's about. The only thing missing is a mustachiod villain and a damsel tied to the railway track. It's THAT out there.
  16. I assumed Anarky is in a later episode. I don't see him fitting in 4x10.
  17. This is stinkin' adorable fic starring Oliver and BB-8.
  18. Yeah, they showed his sign. It has to be him. I guess it could be to cover up his burns from that incident with ragey Thea.
  19. I like that they found Darhk's house. I don't like the stupid shots of them walking onto the scene in a line. Is this Zoolander?
  20. Again, I'm gonna need help with some characters. The three with the baseball caps, the kissing couple (Pacey and Joey since they're beneath the Capeside sign? Not a really good likeness), the guy next to Felicity, the redhead with cute hair and the couple with the baby.
  21. And Moira too. You just know the two of them are swilling coctails in the great beyond and giving each other some shit. My dad, really? -Boys who cast glances at their jailbait sisters shouldn't throw stones.
  22. Donna is still there. And Felicity is still wearing the engagement ring throughout these episodes. But it's true, we know next to nothing. ETA: Felicity gets a code name in 4x11 which makes me think she's back to working with the team.
