I think it is nigh impossible for any ordinary person, not growing up in that mindset to even begin to understand how those people live. I didn't grow up hating or fearing everyone, so I don't relate to that much. Reading I fired God helped a lot to better understand, but I don't think I will ever truly get it - thankfully perhaps, since common sense always kicks in and says "whoaaaaaaaaaa there"

Actually, that is nice. Is it two girls singing? They look so similar. Much better voices than any of the Bateses or Duggars. But she really does like the limelight, doesn't she? He so clearly didn't want kid no 3 and 4, so why not TELL? I think it's probably a mixture of losing face (because this would place him into the "danger" category), not being really close to Anna, perhaps fear of his father and the public backlash of those few Dughugs left

Jessa looks like a trashy Wannabe, and that girl on the right, whilst dressing strangely, looks cheerful, with a glow on the inside that would proclaim to me that she is a genuine and nice person. Still don't get why you need to dress like that though. No need to look frumpy.

Where's that photo to be found? Ok, now I may be showing my ignorance here, but nearly 1400 Dollars for a fridge?????? For real???? Is that a normal price for a fridge in the US? Just did a quick Google, and even the humongous american style fridge freezers are much cheaper than that here. Would it not be in your mind to buy something less expensive if you can't afford it? Why do they delight and revel so much in anything they get cheap or for free? Do they feel that they were "blessed" and are speshul or something? I worry about Priscilla, I really do. TFDW is an asshat to be sure, and I think he can and is very manipulating and nasty if he wants to. She isn't terribly bright and obviously feels she must live up to perfection, because otherwise, she would be a bad bad wifey. Nice lettering Marj does, but golly, that girl needs ATTENTION, doesn't she? Lucky escape for her though, the Dugs have a terrifying tendency to absorb and change people for the worse.

Yikes, what forced grimaces. Michelle looks very lined in this photo - and she seems to shrink ever more. I think her body is finally telling her what it thinks of her antics. Quite a few of the younger boys seems very late bloomers, not really growng or maturing. For all their talk about masculinity, there's precious little of it around in that family.

On the rare occasions that I do look at the Dugs FB page, I continue to marvel at the fact that there's relatively few negative comments, but overall, the comments have down way down. Interest is clearly waning. Rightly so. I've been banned from just about anything related to Dugs and Co, except for Derick (can't be bothered with him though). Perhaps a badge of honour is in order for people like me?

I see.........I've watched a few videos of theirs and they are actually not bad. Feel for those kids though, in order to be that good, they'd need to spend all of their time practising, which leaves little spare time. (I really ought to practice my keyboard, come to think of it)

This is ridiculous, if it were true. He is an adult, not a child and even a child would rebel against those rules. You can't tie up a person and choke him like that. You have to WANT to change, unless that is the case, this kind of shite simply won't work. Trying to tie him to anyone's side is just nonsense. I don't think he'll stick it for long really. Genes will out and he hasn't exactly tried to be decent.

Make sure you wave at me in Munich :-))) Passau is actually nice too - unless it's raining and there's floods, but that's not likely at the moment. Will you have time to do sightseeing in Munich or Passau? If you're driving by car, make sure to go off from the Motorway and use the regional roads, it's a seriously nice drive. You can walk right along the riverside in Passau and peak into the cruise boats. I'm sure it will be a lovely cruise. And I also want to go to Budapest, it's supposed to be really nice.

How much is 87 degrees? I just looked up Arkansas temperatures, and the hottest average was only about 33 degrees C. Whilst that is hot, it isn't THAT hot. Hell, Germany gets worse than that these days. Did I mention I hate summer now? And we don't have air con anywhere usually.

Ah, you're not alone. I loved my Mother, but I do have long standing issues, due to my upbringing and family. Parents aren't always what we would like them to be, aren't they? All the more reason to allow yourself to be sad if your family was good to you.

You're not too old to be attached to your parents. Especially if you had them for that long. I always thought it must be so hard to lose your parents when you are older - my Mother died when I was 17, and altough this has left me with my own issues, I do think it's somewhat easier at that age. In fact, today is the 30th anniversary of her death. Seems hardly credible. Do whatever feels good for you and to hell with what other people may think

Jackson is 12 now?? He seems like an 8 year old, never maturing, never moving on. Always lumped together with the younger girls.

You all seem to have such varied interesting backgrounds......I really think we need a thread on that. Derick is just weird. In the beginning I thought he would be a breath of fresh air, rescuing Jill, but he's turned out to be a complete mess. On one hand, he doesn't seem to be able to put his foot down, on the other, they did move away and yes, he looks bloody awful, but at least it's his own style. Disgusting, messy, dirty but his own. Don't think he's too smart though, despite his degree. He doesn't seem truly interested in thinking, going down deep into something. If he continues like that, he will eventually become a Duggar (isn't it terrifying how much people are absorbed into this awful family??), empty headed and superficial.
