  1. So...as far as I can see, Jax is a lying, cheating, sack of shit....and so is Kristen...those two should hook up...actually...I can see next season of VPR with Kristen somehow finagling her way into/and-or/Lisa softening and giving the bitch another chance at....either Pump or Villa Blanca, with Pump being the more likely....for, oh say, a probationary period of 6 months - or any time period long enough to get the next season completed. I can see her hooked up with Jax as they are both of the same gutter mentality and behavior (I mean, did TPTB REALLY expect us to buy Jax's supposed dilemma between 'loyalty' and 'truth'..Seriously?) and would give the show a needed boost of bad guys since stassi-bitch has outlived both her usefulness and whatever teeny bit of popularity she may have had in earlier seasons. And the Jax/Kristen hookup could play delightful havoc with Katie/Tom, Tom/Ariana & poor little James and whomever he ends up with as his buddy - since I certainly don't see him hooking up romantically with anyone at SUR (or....dare I suggest....FI Tom?)
  2. The thing I don't understand about the bitchard sisters avoidance of genuine apologies (like, they seem to think a sincere apology uttered with NO conditional phrases is akin to the Black Plague) is how they must know such behavior marks them as emotional midgets who have zero respect for their fellow humans. Apologies given when one is a child don't have the same understanding or impact as when it must be done as an adult. I've only had to do it a couple of times as an adult...both times, it was I who recognized that, (shit, shit, SHIT) I really did owe someone an apology. So, I sucked it up and at the very next time I saw my victim, I first asked for a moment of their time - also giving them time and opportunity to deny it, since I had been the offending a**hole in the first place - then simply said, I did xyz, I was wrong, I am sorry and I apologize....NO excuses, NO justifications, just acceptance of wrongdoing...and DAMN! it may have been REALLY hard to do, but I felt so powerful afterward! Before this, I had presumed that I would feel humiliated at having to humble myself to another person - but quite the opposite was true. The other person, in both cases, accepted the apology and we (in each case) remained on cordial terms for the rest of our associations. So, having been there, done that, I simply can not understand either of the bitchards...unless, of course, they are so completely arrogant as to think they NEVER do ANYTHING that requires forgiveness....come to think of it, that's exactly the vibe I get from the both of them - and it's been there since the beginning of RHOBH....sad, really, really sad...
  3. Totally agree on appreciating the silence!!! Back in the dark ages, when I took Philosophy 101, one of the first great questions we contemplated was this....if a tree falls in a forest and there is no one there to witness it, is there any noise/sound?...(part of the discussion of Bishop Berkley's 'esse est percipi' [to be is to be perceived] premise) Given the current situation for the felonious Giudices, I just could NOT help but laugh out loud....for silence - as in a complete lack of recognition - is exactly what they deserve, and what I dearly hope keeps coming their way....may they and their tacky, criminal, pitiful ways fall deeply, deeply into obscurity!
  4. I do not think Kim Richards is an arrogant, narcissistic, mean girl because she is an addict. I believe she is an arrogant, narcissistic, mean girl who happens to also be an addict. I do not think Kyle Richards is an arrogant, narcissistic, mean girl because she has an addict for a sister. I believe she is an arrogant, narcissistic, mean girl who happens to have an addict for a sister. Having spent a number of years working in the substance abuse industry and observing the behaviors, actions, and reactions of many clients and counselors, I have come to fall on the side of not having much belief in the 'disease' paradigm - the more often a client referred to 'my disease' the sooner they would blow off rehab. By contrast, those who were able to accept personal responsibility for whether or not they continued to abuse their drug of choice were by far the more likely to complete rehab and stay cleaner longer than the 'blamers'. That's not to say they were impervious to relapse, but rather that they took the time to develop the tools that worked for them to regain their sobriety after each slip, and those slips would be come further and further apart. I do not see any tools or coping skills in either Kim or Kyle, no do I see any desire on either of their parts to change the current situation. They seem to both revel in their chosen roles of victim/addict and victim/martyr. IMNSHO, Kim simply does not want to stop - in direct opposition to the statement in the first of the oft quoted 12 steps - she seems to regard her 'disease' as something that gives her power over others rather than as something that makes her powerless - and she fully intends to use that power to the full advantage.
  5. Sad to say I think it could be Sonjia for the win, it just seems to be getting stacked that way - can't stand her. Not thrilled with the choice of Helen over Michelle, but at least I can remember most of their designs, and Dimitri's, throughout the competition. But Sonjia - nothing stands out about except a strange choice in lipstick and a rather snotty attitude on display quite often.
  6. To the best of my knowledge, A-lanon is NOT for the addict - it is for the family and SOs to help them learn and understand how to cope for their own sake. When I worked in SA, there were many times family or SOs would call, wanting to know how they could 'force' the addict into recovery - to which is only answer is, you can't force anyone to become truly sober (the abstinence from alcohol without the tools and commitment to real sobriety is often referred to as 'white knuckle sobriety'). But I would always refer them to Al-anon for their own sakes - I think it's pretty apparent that the families and SO's of substance abusers need all the information and support they can get. IMO, Kyle has probably been given all the knowledge, but is codependent on Kim's issues as part of her own identity and purpose.
  7. Well, I'll leave it at this - I have my opinions, to which I am entitled, and I stand by them. Same goes for everyone else.
  8. The best thing about not watching BH anymore? Not only will I no longer be subjected to Kim's eternally self-serving bullshit, but I will also NOT be subjected to any more of Kyle's bullshit moaning about how she would have LOVED to go to college but she was too busy bringing home the bacon....OR....had babies to attend to.... Seriously, bitch - if you had really wanted to further your education, you had/have the time and means to do so - LOTS of other women WITHOUT your resources have done exactly that. Hypocrite!
  9. I can accept a 'reality' show that showcases rich ditzes dashing about with shopping, socializing and worrying about who is who in the superficial pecking order - I find it stupid and silly and harmlessly entertaining..... BUT ... for some bitch to make a mockery of other addicts' honest efforts at recovery, all the while seemingly trying to convince the viewing public that she is merely in a state of denial (which is a very real part of the addiction/recovery process) and really, really, really wants to be clean and sober is nothing short of disgusting. The very (and imnsho accurate) idea that those involved (from Kyle right down to the newest cast members) are cognizant of this charade is equally disturbing and nothing I care to honor with one more second of attention. I know! How about we showcase Monty's REAL experience with cancer - the visible pain, puking and debilitating weakness that quite often accompany chemo and radiation therapies (I have no idea which of those levels of hell he must endure, but I've had family members go through it and know for a fact how very horrible it can be) NOT just his ever so convenient presence as a (possibly) unwitting supplier of controlled substances - now wouldn't that just be a REAL HOOT!
  10. Now that I've actually seen the episode, I am completely convinced that the bitchard sisters made a conscious decision to use kim's addiction as a major part of their storyline. Which is disgusting and sick in ways I can not even begin to articulate. It is one thing for an addict to let their story be known in a cautionary, PSA sort of way, intended to help others recognize, address and (hopefully) overcome their substance abuse issues. There is no possible way to construe this load of shit into something having any socially redeeming qualities. I really have to wonder what kind of an arrogant rat bastard uses their drunken/drugged situation/lifestyle as a means of staying relevant and in the public eye? kim's tagline about having been rich and famous but happiness is better is hypocrisy personified since she is using her obvious lack of any sort of happiness to help her re-achieve 'fame' and 'rich' while giving only shallow lip service to any efforts at sobriety. When, for example, have we ever heard Kim excuse herself from some social obligation so she can attend AA or NA or any other sort of support group? Should that not be a very integral part of a recovering addict's storyline? When has she ever bragged about sobriety milestones? I worked in the SA industry for years and learned early on how to tell the difference between those who are honestly focused on recovery and those who are merely going through the motions and playing the system to get what they need until they can hook up again and go off to la-la-land. The ones who were honest in their desire to achieve sobriety may not have succeeded the first time, the second time or even the twentieth time - but they were unmistakeable in their desire to someday, somehow, be able to live a clean and sober life, and have the tools and support system to help them when they slip - industry statistics says 75% of all addicts relapse - it ain't easy by any means. And what kind of an arrogant rat bastard of a ('sober') sister plays along with such a sick idea, right up to AND including so MANY clues that the other sister is indeed addicted that it can not be ignored? I have as much of a problem with Bravo giving a platform to this behavior as I do to the bullshit going on with the 'stars' of NJ. Which means I won't be watching this show any long either - and that is a major shame as I really like Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson on this show - I think the addition of those two is exactly what BH needs to revitalize! Well, no ATL because of rewarded violent behavior, no (potentially) more NJ because of rewarded criminal behavior (I will watch if there are NO more Giudices, but I have to admit that is probably a pipe dream), no more VPR because of Stassi, and now no more BH because of rewarded SA behavior. I guess that leaves Top Chef - at least competition shows don't try to convince us of any BS about any the the participant's private lives - well, no so far.
  11. RIP Deirdre, you'll definitely be missed.
  12. Just saw the preview for the next episode and I have to wonder if the bitchard sisters had noticed their increasing irrelevance and decided to pump up their storyline by resurrecting the un-sober Kim bit - not that I think she was ever really seriously working for sobriety to begin with - there have been far too many references to 'how far Kim has come' (in order to remind us all over and over of her 'issues') for that to be even remotely believable. Neither of them is very interesting, so the only thing they have going for them, now that they have wrung out every fake tear possible over kids leaving home for whatever reason, is to find some serious issue to put them both back in the limelight. If that does prove to be the case, it will (for me at the very least) throw the original reveal of Kim's substance abuse issues season's ago under the light of being a deliberate plan which imnsho is just as bad as the crap the jooodeechays shoved down everyone's throats since the inception of NJ. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I firmly believe that whole limo scene/fight/reveal was very carefully and deliberately planned. Fool me once.....buh-bye BH.
  13. Thanks so much for the update! I am happy for the actors & their new arrivals/impending happy events!
  14. I've been looking all over all the Corrie sites I can find, but I still can't find any justification for slimey David Platt's statements about Kylie "abandoning" her kids....HELLO!!!!!!!!....David kicked her out! Now, I really have NO use for Kylie, haven't been able to tolerate her since she was introduced as Becky's sister ( and I really, really, liked Becky and would - inspite of her rather chaotic personality/actions LOVE to see her back on the street) but I have ages less ( as in billion years earth ages less) regard for that total waste of space known as David Platt.....I'd give two shits more about seeing this story line get real if I didn't have actually interesting storylines about Roy and Steve commanding my attention. I know Kylie's been temporarily written off into no-man's land while she's on maternity leave, but let's PLEASE see an end to Kylie and give this actor a role worthy of her seeming talent. I've seen mention on other Corrie sites that there are no less than 3 actors having their storylines altered to accommodate pregnancies - but who are the other two? At least these soaps do a better job of it than the US version of soaps that is nothing short of soft porn.
  15. I suppose I could go on and on ad nauseum about any and all of the women who appeared on this season. BUT. What it all boils down to for me is that I will watch at least the first few episodes of NJ as long as there is NO, ABSOLUTELY NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! GUIDICE OF ANY GENDER OR AGE ON MY TELEVISION SCREEN. The nano-second any of them show up, I'm gone. What little of my life I choose to spend in front of the boob tube, I want to be spent in either the entertainment or edification modes - anything else is just a waste of my time.
  16. Basically, Dr.Crawley HAD to already be dead for the plot to work...had he still been alive, he would have been the heir instead of Matthew. Then they would had to have wasted all sorts of episode and production time introducing him and killing him off to establish Matthew as the new heir. So much easier this way.
  17. Now that I've finally managed to NOT sleep through the first episode, I found it to be rather boring. So many disappointments. And since I don't recall getting any definitive information that Gregson is dead, so (until I hear to the contrary about his demise), I am convinced that Fellowes has copped yet another storyline from U/D - this time the Redux, where the protagonist's sister (Lady Persephone, I believe) turns out to be a Nazi sympathizer, etc, etc, etc) and will have (shock and awe) Gregson eventually make his miraculous return as a very thinly disguised Nazi sympathizer (early days, true, but the seeds have certainly been sown) who will be finally exposed - by either Edith (taking the part of the U/D protagonist) or, perhaps, Branson - who, rebel though he may be, is not of the Nazi mentality....Anyhow, the handwriting seems to be on the wall - but I forget, we have yet to experience the impact of the great stock market crash, though last season gave us hints of the ever stupid Robert buying into Ponzi schemes in his quest for instant, work-free riches - and there is, of course, Mary's tepid-tea-passion for Gillingham....I will admit I still secretly hold out hope for the return of Richard Carlisle - those two are a match made in mercenary heaven! AND could be such a hoot as a passionate, calculating, materialistically sexy couple such as the world of TV has never been treated to in a happily functioning duo with both feet firmly planted in their financial statements. Good riddance to James - he was a waste of space...and speaking of wastes - Barrow! Barrow! Barrow! The character started off with SUCH promise! - Bad boy, good boy, bad-coward-boy, good boy with flaws, but now, nothing but a sniveling, sneaky, slimey, rat-bastard of a coward...what a shame! I think it also quite the shame that I have been reduced to looking forward to my weekly dose of the Mosely brand of comic relief - how sad. Not even the wit-filled delivery of Violet's lines by the wonderful Maggie Smith can resurrect this pitiful shadow of a show.
  18. Guess I should eat my words - at least partially. Just saw the New Years Eve epi & it truly rocked.
  19. ITA totally, Kylie and David are two of the least likeable characters on the show and while they can be a bit entertaining at times, they both have far too much of a nasty history to make them in any way sympathetic. Seeing David's holier-than-thou act is nothing short of puke-able...The only redemptive part of the current major storyline is as pertains to Roy - anything Windass has been very hard for me to take ever since they made their first appearance on the street. I'd like to see a bit more time spent on Jason, Fiz, (with Tyrone & the kids) Sean, Carla, even Michelle and Maria - and PLEASE let's have as little as possible of whatever-the-hell Chesney's girlfriend's name is (listening to her is a complete horror - one would think the English language is completely devoid of the letter 'T'.) Eileen needs a good story as does Lloyd! Leanne should crawl under a rock - but, please, not before a decent caregiver is found for Simon. I have NO clue why Steve's storyline is being dragged into oblivion instead of making it into the solid statement it could be! Are the writers on strike? Are there actual writers for the show? I really have to wonder.
  20. If - which is near certainly, given teresa's penchant for lying about everything and anything just to make herself look good - she did not show enough respect for her children to give them the truth they deserve and would need to get through the next year+, then she is a vicious, self-serving piece of shit far worse than anything anyone could ever say about her. As much as I would like to know how miserable her days in prison are, I just can't be arsed to seek out any information about her....Top Chef is still on, as well as some other shows I like, so I'll spend my entertainment hours there, rather than give one iota more attention to this worthless bitch.
  21. Is it Danville or Danbury? - I've heard of Danville, Illinois and Danbury, Connecticut - but now I'm rather confused as to where the princess is incarcerated...I suppose it doesn't really matter as long as she is WELL AND TRULY IN JAIL for all the crap she has stolen over the last decade
  22. I am finding the Kylie/David/druggie storyline a complete turnoff. I haven't been able to stomach 'David' since I began watching Corrie and find his sudden, supposed, reformation into holier-than-thou-dad/husband of the year not only nauseating, but totally unbelievable. He's been perfectly written as a nasty whack job & the rehab was much too sudden and without any semblance of a personal discovery/realization moment/event to make it even remotely credible or (even worse in TV land) interesting. Nor have I been able to tolerate Kylie since she made her appearance - I suppose the only reason I hate David more than Kylie is purely a seniority thing. I just can't see anywhere where either of them have recognized, understood, apologized for and attempted to put right all the crap they have pulled on others. The less of them I am inflicted with, the better I like it - Corrie has so many more characters (Sally Webster excepted, of course) and storylines that could really turn into something fantastic that I just can't understand all the time spent on those two. wastes of space.
  23. It is indeed a sad, sad, fvking day on planet earth when it is the hubs, who has NEVER watched anything even remotely related to any of the howives shows, who is the first to tell me about "some funny lookin' bitch from one of those shows you watch trying to sue her lawyers before she goes to jail"...and then asking me is 'she really that stupid'...sigh...if only he knew!
  24. They would eat her alive. She may be violent, crass and vulgar BUT several of these women know how to do all that while still appearing to have class, breeding and REAL money. The joodeechay bitch would be chewed up and spit out without a second glance. Might even be worth watching IF I hadn't already promised myself to never let her pollute my entertainment time again.
  25. WORD!!! I am still following the boards - just be certain the bitch does go to jail - and will also look to see how/if the next season of NJ shapes up - WITHOUT her. If there is another season and she is NOT a part of it (other than in a passing mention or twenty about someone who was once there) I will watch long enough to decide if its at all entertaining (somehow the potential combination of a (maybe) caroline, reappearance and JoGo, minus dina of course, has a bit of appeal). If they are so stupid to hold off long enough for teresa's felonious butt to return, I won't waste another second on the show. I've already written off ATL because of the violent and arrogant moose, VPR because of Stassi and BH because of the bitchard sisters - I just can't see wasting my time watching women who sole purpose in life seems to be deliberate nastiness. As for this nasty piece of work, I really can't be bothered to search for information on her, and so am very grateful for those on this board who make such efforts to post all the up to date news - gruesome though it may be.
